  • Mahathir Mohamad was born on July 10, 1925 in Malaysia. He was raised in a poor neighborhood in Alor Setar region of the state of Kedah.

  • His father’s name was Mohamad bin Iskandar. He was a principal with low socioeconomic standing. His mother was only a distant relative to Kedah royalty.

  • Mahathir excelled throughout school. He won a scholarship to an English secondary school.

  • He completed secondary school once the war ended. He enrolled in medical school at the ‘King Edward VII College of Medicine’ in Singapore.

    A person was either born good or bad.

    This is the Way of the World. It becomes Your Way and my Way. All our actions are recorded in the unwritten texts of history which at the end of the day are weighed by the actuaries of history – the historians.

    In my experience, I have never been able to make a Good person bad or a Bad person good. Such is the strong DNA governance in a person’s biological make-up.

    A thorough look at your biographical record from Day 1 to 93 only shows one thing, good achievements and good achievements repeatedly.

    You did not end up with 48 Failed Public Policies of Fables and Foibles like Lee Kuan Yew who took great pains and meticulous attention to details about everything which governed his Public façade in his Lifetime arising from his apparent legally trained mind. At the end of the Day, he proved that the ancient saying, ‘ All front and no back ‘ is correct.

    On the contrary, Tun, with a born intellect and the proper set of DNA, you could do no wrong but only the best achievements in your stride. This is what the historical records show. Time and time again, you presented your logic and sound advice to the neophytes with nodding heads whom you thought they were also on the 88th storey with you, but actually their minds were in the basement which resulted in no achievements at all.

    What to do under such circumstance even with your proverbial little black note book to follow up ?

    I hazard a guess that you found such loyal and not self-serving aides are as rare as hen’s teeth.

    Now, with the attrition of the Malay elites from 3 Generations beginning 1957, only one 80 year old Superman, a 40 year old Christ’s (College) man and a 24 year old neophyte left to hold the fort of Malay elitism which must progress and flourish if our beloved Malaysia and the non-Malay elites are to go places upwards to the likes of Visionary Switzerland, Democratic India and Good Governance Japan after becoming one of four important small countries of the World being Britain, Switzerland, Japan and Malaysia after your Great Victory of 9 May 2018 over the Corrupt and Uncaring BN Government. The Good prevails over the Bad as ordinary people like us understood through the Ages.

    Without much effort but with a lot of thinking, Tun, you have saved not only the Day for us but the precious lives of all Rakyat who lived and toiled as inhabitants of our beloved Malaysia. Our gratitude and appreciation of your brilliant and courageous achievement should know no bounds.

    The ultimate TRIUMPH OF THE GOOD OVER THE BAD !

    • Sense of shame – able to know and to be ashamed of our wrong, and able to repent and reform.

    It’s been such a joy to have you as our PM again especially so now to correct the mistakes by the past government and to steer our beloved Malaysia back to it’s glory days.

    I was born on 16 July 1981, the very same day Tun became the 4th PM.

    I am lucky enough to witness firsthand of your achievements from the first day (literally!).

    If given the opportunity, I would like to contribute to Malaysia Baru and if by any chance I could meet Tun will certainly be awesome!.

    Apa komen tentang LGBT? Anak Tun setuju dengan melaksanakan LGBT dan macam2 lagi yang rakyat pun tidak setuju. Kami rakyat Malaysia tidak setuju Tun. Kesian anak2, cucu cicit n generasi saya akan datang.
    Kan saya dah komen awal2 lagi supaya Tun2 jadi PM hendaklah memerintah negara Malaysia berlandaskan Al Quran dan Sunnah.

  7. WISHING TUN DR MAHATHIR MOHAMAD and TUN DR SITI HASMAH A VERY HAPPY 64th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY – 5th AUGUST 2018

    Dearest Tun Dr. Mahathir and Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah,

    It seemed like only yesterday when both Tun and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah celebrated our wedding anniversaries together with mine and Yaacob, Syed Salim and Zaleha and my son Suffian and Fateh Hanum at our home at Kampung Tunku in August 2015.

    Tun and Tun Siti really honoured us with both your presence.

    My family and I never expected that an incumbent Prime Minister and his charming and lovely spouse could accord us such an honour.

    Jasmin, my late daughter in law was there too.

    She was the one who personally gave away the heart-shaped cakes as mementos to each and every guest as they left for home.

    Our cucu Arina too was there.

    That joint Anniversary do was truly momentous to us.

    But alas, not long after the event, tragedy struck many a family.

    Cancer took away the lives of a few close ones to all of us.

    Datin Dr Liew became a widow.

    Her husband Dr. Khoo Kar Lin, who, together with Tun Dr Siti Hasmah, helped deliver Tunku Intan Safinas, also succumbed to cancer.

    On that night, Dato’ Dr Khoo not only sang with Tun Siti that famous rendition by Judy Garland the theme song from “Wizard of Oz” – “Somewhere Along the Rainbow” but also took part, together with Jasmin, Shahar, Suffian, Fateh Hanum, Tan Sr Halil, Arina, Anisa, Aydin Dragon-bot organiser Dato’ Herman and Bangladeshi Johan in the Line version of the “Mexican Shuffle”.

    Cancer took the life of a staunch stalwart of the Perdana Leadership Foundation – Allahyarham Tan Sri Halil.

    And my cucu Arina lost her favourite Aunt, Jasmin, also to cancer.

    And Arina now is more than determined to overcome her failure in two subjects in her UIA foundation examination.

    All six members of our family were lawyers.

    Now with Jasmin gone to Rahmatullah, we now have five left.

    Arina is now more than ever determined to make us a family of six lawyers once again.

    Tunku Intan Safinas, as we all know, is a great tenor/soprano singer.

    She has turned an excerpt from Arina’s “A Woman Instigated” poem into a musical score and plans to surprise both Tun and Tun Siti with her rendition of Arina’s special poem for Tun Dr Siti during the two-hour Launching Ceremony by YAB Tun and YABhg Tun Dr Siti Hasmah of Arina’s “SELCOUTH” at the Perdana Leadership Foundation Auditorium on Thursday 30 August 2018 from 10am to noon.

    Classical music-minded elite from across the Causeway are making a bee-line to the Perdana Leadership Auditorium to hear Tunku Safinas’s rendition of an excerpt of “A WOMAN INSTIGATED” from Arina’s “SELCOUTH”.

    President Halimah Yacob of the Republic of Singapore, Speaker Tan Chuan-Jin of the Singapore Parliament and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong have informed us that they are not going to miss listening to the melodious voice of the niece and Royal Aunt of Arina.

    According to a source from the Brunei Darulsalam High Commission, His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and Her Majesty Queen Consort Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha are great enthusiasts of promoting the education of young gifted children further improve themselves and look forward to perusing both Arina’s “PARACOSM” and “SELCOUTH”

    As Tun and Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah know, Arina does not want a single cent from the net proceeds of sale of “SELCOUTH”. She has instructed that her father and mother contribute in equal shares to the following non-profit bodies:
    [1] The Kuala Lumpur Foundation to Criminalise War (where Tun is the Founder and Chairman);
    [2] The Criminalise War Club (where Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah is the Founder and Chairperson) and I the Deputy Chairperson;
    [3]The Tun Suffian Foundation where I am the Founder Founder;
    [4] The Kuala Lumpur Global Peace Foundation (headed by former Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Mai with Dr. Zulaiha and Fauziyah Abu Hassan as Founding Trustees);
    [5] The Tunku Sofiah Baccalaureate Programme;
    [6] The Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA) Students Theatre Club.
    Each of the above bodies shall receive Five Hundred Thousand Ringgit within a week or so after the the Launching of “SELCOUTH”.
    I feel it proper to caution dearest Tun to be prepared that all these foreign dignitaries will rush to be first in a long queue just to shake hands and selfie with you and Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah.
    With a hundred or so hands to shake, we would not be surprised if we see Tun attending subsequent official functions with Tun and Tun Siti’s right arm each in a sling!
    In the meanwhile my granddaughter Arina will be thinking of producing another book of poems, prose and drawings,
    I am not sure what she will call it.
    My guess is that she will use some word found only in the cyberspace ending with “COSM”, “COUTH” .
    But as Arina’s favourite mentors, I won’t be surprised if she were to divulge personally the secret to both Tun and Tun Dr. Siti’s ears – when we visit Tun and Tun Dr. Siti on the forthcoming Hari Raya Mubarak on Wednesday 26 August 2018.
    With the blessings from Allah s.w.t, both Tun and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah will, InsyaAllah, be around with us until they pass at least the century-mark.

    There will therefore be more wedding anniversaries to celebrate.

    Till then, Yaacob and I send you both, Tun and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah a very happy wedding anniversary.

    Today is not only significant because of your Second Coming to the Dewan Rakyat and your recent 93 Birthday. Today marks for the very first time the World’s Best New and Incorruptible Cabinet of the old and the young, the good and the great, sits in the World’s Best Dewan Rakyat which was World’s Best since 1957 ! And all these were achieved in peace and harmony to the delight of all concerned. Democracy was in action when the Opposition walked out to have a kopi-O. Congratulations and Best Wishes Tun. Malaysia Boleh !

    Selamat Hari Lahir ke 39. Masih muda lagi, sama baya dengan saya.

    Saya berpendapat antara isu penting kerajaan PH adalah menangani masalah kos hidup yang tinggi. Antara langkah yang diambil adalah menstabilkan harga minyak dan memansuhkan GST. Nampaknya banyak lagi usaha dilakukan sebab walaupun ada harga barang yang berkurangan, tetapi impaknya masih tidak kuat.

    Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri telah berkata pemantauan akan terus dilakukan supaya peniaga-peniaga tidak menaikkan harga sesuka hati.

    Saya ada beberapa cadangan untuk Menteri.

    Menteri perlu memantau bukan sahaja harga di bahagian runcit sahaja. Seluruh ‘supply chain’ proses perlu dipantau iaitu harga dari pengeluaran/peladang/petani/penternak sehinggalah harga ke pengguna. Dari situ kita dapat lihat dibahagian manakah yang menyebabkan harga tinggi ini.

    Menteri juga perlu mengadakan satu sesi diolog atau roundtable meeting semua ‘stskeholders’ iaitu persatuan peladang, penternak, petani, pengguna untuk mendapatkan feedback dari mereka bagaimana mereka boleh bantu kerajaan untuk mengurangkan harga barang. Kerajaan mempunyai kuasa dan dana untuk membantu mereka mengurangkan harga barang. Cara ini lebih berkesan sebab merekalah yang akan terkesan dengan penurunan harga barang dan mereka lebih tahu apakah yang menyebabkan harga barang naik.

    Saya juga penyokong kuat kepada ‘supply side’ economics. Teori ekonomi mengatakan apabila supply adalah melebihi demand maka harfs aksn turun. Konsep mudah ini kita dapat lihat dengan harga durian sekarang ini. Rakyat Malaysian teramatlah suka durian, tetapi harga durian sekarang murah? Ini kerana sekarang ialah musim durian, terdapat byk durian, jadi apabila supply melebihi demand, maka harga durian akan turun.

    Konsep ini mudah, jika iainya boleh berlaku kepada durian, mengapa tidak kita aplikasikan konsep ini kepada barangan lain seperti beras, ikan, daging, sayuran dan lain-lan? Kerajaan perlu mendapatkan semua stakeholders untuk menjayakan program menambahkan pengeluaran barang-barang keperluan.

    Saya harap cadangan saya ini dapat dipertimbangkan kerajaan PH.

    saya dengar khabar dari chef saya bahawa di dalam kawasan perindustrian gebeng yang pernah tun lawati dulu ada berlaku pergaduhan antara orang china tanah besar dengan orang melayu.

    seorang melayu telah dibelasah oleh sekumpulan china tanah besar di dalam kawasan perindustrian mereka.

    khabar angin di dalam media sosial mengatakan melayu ini mati. samada mati atau tidak saya tak pasti. tapi yang pasti melayu ini telah dipukul berkumpulan di dalam kawasan tertutup dari luar.

    saya tak tahu samada peristiwa ini sampai pada pengetahuan tun atau tidak.

    di sini saya hanya sampaikan sentimen kemelayuan yang ada pada chef saya, chef aris kepada tun mahathir mohamad.

    lebih lebih lagi di kawasan chef saya tersebut, penduduknya adalah majoriti melayu.

    You did illtreate them when you were in power!
    Do you feel that Hindus are brainless people who have no morals or culture??
    Do you also feel that Hindus practise polygamy uncontrollably as their wish?

    Do you think that the Hindus in Malaysia are from the Brahmin caste?
    For your kind info sir, 50% of Hindus in Malaysia are from the Scheduled Caste. They came to pick up your ‘shit- pots’!!! and disposed them off without contaminating our country!!
    Some even built our road works!and it lasted for a good couple of years…unlike these days where roads last only a couple of weeks!!!

  27. Assalamualaikum Tun.

    Selamat ulang tahun ke 93.

    Seperti biasa, anak perempuan saya juga turut sambut tarikh kelahiran yang sama dengan Tun, 10 julai. Sekarang umur 6 tahun.

    Mungkin Allah swt memberikan saya sedikit kenangan sentimental pada tarikh tersebut.

    Saya akan berada pada angka 42 tahun ni.

    10 tahun berlalu bersama 2 zaman PM yang diturunkan.

    Zaman ketiga, memulakan pentadbiran semula yang disebut Malaysia Baru oleh pendokong PH.

    Bila saya ucapkan selamat mengundi kepada pn maizatul, beliau membalas LGBT akan berkembang.

    Tetapi saya kata Tun akan uruskan.

    Setelah keluar keputusan PRU14, beliau terkejut PH menang. Bukan terkejut kerana sedih tetapi terkejut kerana tidak menyangka begitu mudah.

    Sesetengah dari kita suka membaca dan ambil tahu mengenai perihal agama kita iaitu Islam.

    Saya suka memperkatakan berkenaan tasawuf.

    Saya tidak punyai kumpulan tarekat. Malah jika saya punyai hajat untuk mendekati sang guru, kadangkala saya rasakan tidak sesuai.

    Sedikit sahaja kesalahan percakapan, saya akan dapat menangkap samada ianya sesuai atau tidak bagi diri saya.

    Oleh itu jika minta pendapat saya mengenai kumpulan tarekat, saya belum temui yang berkenan di hati.

    Namun alhamdulillah, saya telah terjumpa satu keadaan yang menarik perhatian saya setelah kereta saya rosak di satu tempat.

    Ketika menziarahi makam makam keluarga sebelum PRU 14.

    Apa yang ingin saya perkatakan adalah saya faham mengenai keadaan seperti apa yang diberitahu oleh dr MAZA dan Zainuddin Maidin.

    Namun ia tidak elok untuk ditulis dan dicakapkan dari sudut negatif. Lebih lebih lagi ianya adalah untuk pembacaan umum kepada segenap masyarakat.

    Tugas orang yang dikenali adalah untuk menyebarkan perkara yang positif dan bukan untuk mengkritik perkara yang berlaku dalam dapur.

    Mungkin anda tidak faham bagaimana usaha yang diambil daLam proses pendapuran sebelum makanan dihidangkan untuk dimakan.
