Looks like those who want to answer my charges are short of ideas.

Now Dato Seri S. Samy Vellu has joined Karpal Singh and Param Cumaraswamy in calling me racist.
These three characters want the Government to free the Hindraf leaders from detention under the Internal Security Act.
They
must know that Hindraf represents Tamil racists who still look to their
old masters, the British, to protect them. They don’t believe in
Malaysian institutions.
And they speak not just of Indians but of Tamils as a separate race. They and their apologists are racist to the core.
Seeing
the death and destruction inflicted on Sri Lanka by the Tamil Tigers,
they threaten to bring this kind of violent racial politics to Malaysia.
In sympathising with Hindraf, Samy exposes his deep racist sentiments.
He insisted that he was the only leader of the Indians.
He
refused to allow other Indian political parties to join the Barisan
Nasional. His arrogance was unbearable. The defeat of the Malaysian
Indian Congress (MIC) is entirely because of him.
I will follow
this with extracts of what Samy Vellu said when I was Prime Minister.
You can then judge what kind of Indian the Indians have as their leader.

With due respects to you as a leader I have admired, I write this comment on your blog with the hope that you will read it, think about it, and if time permits act on it.
From a very young age, I have regarded you as a âheroâ â a champion for the powerless from the âforgottenâ parts of the world. I was among the many Malaysians who were proud to call ourselves Malaysian and that pride was in no small part due to you, Dr. Mahathir Mohammad, our beloved Prime Minister â one of the greatest men (in our minds at least) to have walked the stage of world politics. I remember my days in college when my friends and I used to argue with your detractors, even comparing you to Nelson Mandela. We were ridiculed and dismissed as disillusioned teenagers who were blindly marching each day in your shadow. We never once lost our cool or reacted with anger to those people â we simply dismissed them as ignorant â and that one day they will see the light.
I was 19 when I saw you and our beloved first lady, walk down Bangsar during the Bangsar Carnival in 1998. We shouted your name with great pride! We had the greatest leader in the world â a man who was bold, brave, stood his ground, and most importantly cared for us all regardless of religion and race. We were Malaysians and you were our leader – that is all that mattered. I am a third generation Malaysian Tamil of both Indian and Sri Lankan decent. Despite my background, you were my leader; not Samy Vellu. To be honest, the love, admiration and faith many of my friends (of similar and other ethnicities) and I had for you were way beyond anything that we would have given any other âleaderâ or political figure. You made us feel Malaysian my dear Tun, and for that I thank you sincerely.
That was 10 years ago. As time has passed on things you have done and said in recent times have surprised me. I read interviews in which you have claimed that the âIndian community is ungrateful or never satisfiedâ. I have read and heard you accusing Samy Vellu of refusing to act on behalf of the Malaysian Indians. But Tun, were you not our leader? Our faith was in you. We used to celebrate your victories! You mattered to us and no one else. Yet, from your recent comments it seems that you never looked at us all as one. I was taken aback by your post titled âSamyâs follyâ not because of your accusations against Samy Vellu â that is for you and him to sort out. I was however disappointed by your comments on the Sri Lankan Tamils as well as the Indians in Malaysia.
You have made allegations against Hindraf. Given that I do not know about the internal operations of this group, I shall refrain from commenting on them or your statements about them. However, for a person of your stature to simply dismiss the Tamil Tigers as a group that has “inflicted death and destruction to Sri Lanka” is grossly misleading and comes to me as a disappointment. I am no proponent of violence, but for 30 years the Tamils in Sri Lanka have been struggling to be liberated from the atrocities committed by the Sri Lankan government. Women and children have been murdered and raped; sometimes even in front of their husbands, sons and brothers.
In all your years as Prime Minister you spoke about and stood up for so many things but never once did I hear your voice in support of the Tamil struggle. It never bothered me then probably because âI was blindly walking in your shadowâ. But you were very vocal about the Palestinian struggle, when there is hardly a Palestinian in Malaysia who voted for and placed their faith in you. In one of your very last speeches as Prime Minister, you said in reference to the Palestinian struggle that “no one would derive pleasure from blowing themselves up….so it is important for us to think about why they are made to act in such a manner…”! Well, dear Tun, don’t you think that that rationale might also apply to Tamils in Sri Lanka? Millions of Malaysian Tamils loved and believed in you! You were meant to be the representative of ALL MALAYSIANS: the Malays, Chinese, Tamils, Telugus, Malayalees, Kadazans, Punjabis etc.! Did it not occur to you even once that the Tamils who had so much faith in your leadership and in you as a person needed and would benefit from your support?
People have been slaughtered and denied freedom to live in a land that was arguably theirs to begin with, and all you have to say about this struggle is that it is “violent racial politics”?!!! So, if fighting for independence and equal rights is “violent racial politics” in your books, why did you call for understanding in the case of the Palestinian struggle? How is the Palestinian struggle different from the Tamil struggle in Sri Lanka? In fact the devastation and deaths inflicted in the Palestinian struggle could be argued to be more severe! But you chose to understand the plight that the Palestinians faced. Did you only do so because supporting the struggles of Muslims was going to give you political mileage? Was it easy for you dismiss the Tamil struggle in Sri Lanka as âviolent racial politicsâ because there was nothing at stake for you â given the relative insignificance of the Tamils as a race for your agenda? Is the pain and struggles suffered by a Muslim more important than that suffered by a non-Muslim?
These doubts have made me ask one more important question that similar Malaysians who believed in you would like an answer to: Dear Tun, was our love, admiration and faith in you misplaced? Would the pages of history tell us this?
History has seen some very great leaders dear Tun. Ordinary people like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, and Kamaraj attained greatness because of their integrity and what they stood for. Their aim was far from seeking anything material – be it for themselves or their families. Their actions were taken with the fate of future generations in mind. They were ideal leaders! They have been and will continue to be remembered that way.
Given that your time as a leader is far from over, how would you like history to respond to the question above dear Tun? What does your conscience say?

Nevertheless, Maksom, the PM of the United Arab Emirates having understand the problem in Malysia, recently changed the law on immigration and naturalization. Under the new law, all non-arabic including Indians, Pakistanis, Philipines and etc have to go out from the UAE. Those Indians and Pakistanis even have been staying and born in the UAE for more than 25 years!
Under the new law they can come back and upon arrival will granted to only 3 years tourist or business visa. That what mother’s land is all about. Do you need we Malay to pass the same law here? If don’t, just shut up and never question the rights of the Malays. Now the shit is all over you. OK ?

Nothing was left behind accept the Indians (Hindraf) whom the British brought them here to “slave” in rubber plantation and when the British left, those indians (Hindraf)were abandoned here. I still remember few weeks back, when SV put the blame to others of his defeat. According to SV, most of MIC candidates lost was due to delay in government action to tackle the needs of Indian.
Well, SV must remember, when he referred kerajaan, who actually he refers to ? At that time, he himself actually the government. He actually holding ministry post in government. Why blame others ???

Finally I am able to say hello to you, albeit through cyberspace.
I would not completely put the blame on Samy Vellu on the losses suffered by many MIC candidates in the recent polls, though he has a big mouth and can be very arrogant. Likewise for the leaders of MCA and Gerakan. We have to accept that Government policies and the arrogance of certain UMNO leaders at national and state levels have contr ibuted greatly to the defeat of many BN candidates.
I look forward to more comments from Tun on national issues in the months ahead.

I don’t really understand who is racist here. A person whoever mentions their own citizens as Malys, Tamils, etc..should definetly be a racist as per my psycoanalysis on their mindset. A true citizen will mention people of different race as Native citizens, Citizen of Indian origin. When you call people by their race names, you will obviously end up as racist, as that is the depiction of ones real mindset. Change will not come from suppression, it should come out of open mindedness to treat everyone equal.

You still expect TUN to solve Malaysia’s problems. He’s done more than enough. He has passed the baton and he is also out of UMNO/BN. What he is actually doing is sharing his thoughts and at times self-defence against all the baseless accusations.
The movement has to come from the youth (perhaps including yourself).

Racism is alive and well here in Malaysia. It’s a legacy from the past and I am sure that it will continue to the Last Day.
As long as mankind is consisted of various ethnicities, people will always differentiate and favor their own race , regardless of what they say or claim to profess?
As far as Samy Vellu is concerned, the Malaysian people know how much he hero worshiped you. That is something no one can deny. No matter what anyone says about you, history has everything in record.
One can’t pretend that favoritism doesn’t take place anywhere in this world.
As for calling you a racist, those who are labeling you as such are no better if not even worse?
I dare say that only after retiring are you being more open and straight to the point.
I understand that while being in office you did not have the luxury to be as open as you are today as when you were our PM?
I for one think that it is good for you to be crystal clear like this. Pull no punches and be true to yourself.

As far as Samy Vellu is concerned, he was being more of an apple polisher to you than championing the average Malaysian Indian out there who are still suffering from neglect by their elected reps in the MIC from way back in the early days of our nation.
Samy Vellu’s failure to be fair to his people is the reason why HINDRAF came to be!
There is no mistaking the racist and religious venom that reeks from the early statements issued by Waytha Moorthy and Uthaya Kumar, the HINDRAF founders.
Now, the rest of the Hindraf supporters have morphed into Makkal Sakthi and they are willing to work with PAS.
To me, this is a good development for the early stages of anti Islam sentiments are no longer being propagated by the current Makkal Sakthi leadership.
Samy Vellu can try to deny his mistakes but that doesn’t wash away his errors and failure to improve the Indians lot.
The past is just that Tun and neither him or you can do anything to deny what took place in Malaysia.
What we Malaysians would like to see is the removal of the BN from power and the Pakatan Rakyat be given a chance to prove their worth?
If they screw up too, we won’t hesitate to look for some others who can do the job.
It would be better if all of us just do what we need to do to make sure that your anointed one, the Imam Hadhari is sent packing a.s.ap.
That’s the real deal here.
As for yourself sir, I would just want to wish you to do the best that you can for Muslims here and help us pull the plug on this Hadhari nonsense?

You are claiming that we should believe the constitution. Let me ask you to see the things happening around you. Please view it apart from those written in the constitution itself.
If you are able to see for your own eyes , perhaps you wont claim Hindraf as racist. None of us are racist here , racism begins when we are not allowed to call ourselves as Malaysians. Don’t you think this is the problem nowadays. Where in the world people so called citizen treated differently because of their status. Are we or the government lead by you practising racism then.

When you have retired, As a good old friends you advised him to stepdown to make way for new faces and he told you off ” Mind your own business”.
During PakLah ‘s time as a cabinet minister, he quashed off Hindraff for taking to the street. And now ( no portfolio ) he is a champion of the champions for the hindraf.
