PERHIMPUNAN 26 JULAI

7. Inilah cara PMX.

JULY 26TH GATHERING

1. On the 26th of July Kuala Lumpur will see a big gathering at Dataran Merdeka.

2. It will be a peaceful gathering as permitted by the law.

3. According to press reports 2000 (two thousand) policemen will ensure it is a peaceful gathering. How? By road blocks to search for weapons.

4. In Alor Setar there were road blocks. So all roads to Kuala Lumpur will be blocked on 26th July.

5. The Constitution allows for road blocks by the police. But the Constitution also stipulates that nothing should be done to obstruct the gathering.

6. The organisers have warned the public not to carry weapons.

7. However there will be certain groups who will carry weapons. They intend to show that the check at the blocks are justified.

8. This is a kind of deliberate abuse of power. We saw this in the Yusoff Rawther case. It is typical of PMX. Last time it was also abuse of power.

9. No rule of the law.

10. Only abuse of power.

TURUN ANWAR

18. Saya sedar saya sudah tua.

19. Saya ingin bersama yang muda memelihara bangsa.

20. Melindungi negara tercinta.

21. Selepas saya pergi, merekalah yang akan take over.

7. Kut betul kut.

8. Macam-macam tuduhan dibuat.

9. Campur tanganlah, dan sebagainya.

10. Betulkah?

11. Tengok tangan sendiri

12. Kotor atau tidak.

WHY

1. They ask me why am I so concerned about what happens in this country, Malaysia.

2. Meaning why don’t I just retire gracefully. I am old. Leave things to younger people.

3. My answer is why should I not be concerned.

4. I am a Malaysian.

5. I am a Malay.

6. This is my country.

7. I was born here.

8. I grew up here.

9. And I had benefited much from this country.

10. I would be most ungrateful if I do not care for a country which had given me a safe and secure life.

11. This is a great country.

12. It has the best climate.

13. It is fertile.

14. It is rich with minerals.

15. It offers so much to me.

16. And largely it has delivered.

17. It can deliver more.

18. If we know how.

19. This is my country.

20. I don’t have anywhere else to go.

21. So I love this country.

22. And I will love it to my last breath.

23. That is the answer.

24. That is why I show concern actively to the well-being of Malaysia, my country.

P.S. I shall never forget that there are people in this world who have no
country, no land that they can call their own.

COLLAPSE OF CIVILISATION

1. Something has gone wrong with the world, with human civilisation. For centuries we have been ridding ourselves of barbarism in human society, of injustices, of the oppression of men by men.

2. We have been promoting more human values, the sanctity of life, honour and respect for institutions, protecting the weak against the strong.

3. We have designed laws to ensure justice for all, abolished absolute monarchies and dictatorship, and all kinds of abuses of power.

4. We promoted the Rule of Law not only in nations but also between nations.

5. We pride ourselves in the high moral values we uphold.

6. We consider ourselves civilised, being creatures of high moral values. We are more human and humane.

7. But can we say we are still civilise now? Over the last three decades especially, we have destroyed most of the ethical values that we had built up.

8. Now we are seeing an orgy of killing. We are seeing genocide being perpetrated before our own eyes. Worse still, the genocide is actually being promoted and defended.

9. Everyday men, women, children and babies are being killed. Even the sick and the wounded are not safe. Bombs and rockets target them, killing them, wounding them, burying them in the rubble of the hospital they had hoped for protection.

10. We see boys and girls having their limbs torn off. The lucky one get artificial limbs. The unlucky totally helpless, not even able to scratch if they feel itchy. Their lives have become a permanent torture.

11. And all these have been perpetrated by the so-called great leaders of our civilisation, by a great nation, the United States of America.

12. I feel ashame. We should feel ashame in the eyes of the animals we consider to be wild. We are worse than them.

13. Will we stop?

14. No. We cannot.

15. Because the very people who preached the rights of humanity are the ones to destroy our hard-fought civilisation.

16. I hide my face

17. I am ashamed.

18. Civilisation is no more the norm.

BAPA FDI

1. Hooray.

2. Now Italy “is set to invest RM8.13 billion in Malaysia”. Great!

3. Wait for France and Brazil? More billions.

4. “Bapa FDI” is at it again.

5. Already RM680 bil. (BILLION) has come.

6. You cannot see it because the factories are invisible.

7. In the meantime Mahakaya have to pay tax. Not the Mahamiskin.

8. Somehow indirectly the miskin suffers.

9. We want more visit to foreign countries so that more invisible FDI will come.

CONSTITUTION vs TRADITION

1. Malaya and then Malaysia chose to have a written constitution to guide the administration. Our laws, policies and action must conform with the basic laws embedded in the constitution.

2. But the Malays have a strong attachment to their traditions, their adat.

3. It is expected that the laws would prevail over the traditions. But of late we are seeing adat being advocated which are not in conformity with law. The rulers are now asked to settle political problems.

4. Once the laws are breached by adat, the constitution becomes irrelevant. There will be no rule of law. We will be back to square one.

5. That is Malaysia’s choice.
