1. I was watching Al-Jazeera news as I often do.
2. The report was on President Putin speaking to the Russian Parliament.
3. He was saying that America and the West were trying to dismantle Russia as they did to Yugoslavia. He warned the Russian people to be prepared.
4. Then the newscaster came on the screen to ask questions of a Russian news analyst. She asked him why is Putin threatening the West.
5. The man said Putin is not threatening. He is only reacting to President Obama’s public statement that Russia is a threat to the world, second only to Ebola.
6. The newscaster repeated “but why is Russia threatening the world?”
7. Apparently she thought that when Russia is described as a threat to the West, Russia should just say “yes we are”, and its leader should say sorry, we will not say anything again.
8. It’s mind-boggling. The West is doing everything to alienate countries of the Eastern bloc so as to widen membership of NATO. Clearly this is a threat to Russia.
9. A government elected by the Ukrainians was forced through street demonstrations to resign for rejecting union with the European Union. Russia is now accused of supporting Russians in Ukraine to break away from that country. This support of the West to install undemocratically a pro-West government is okay. But Russia must not do the same for the pro-Russian people in Ukraine.
10. When MH17 was shot down, before any investigation was done, the US accused Russia of supplying the missile to the dissidents for the attack. Now we are not sure. Ukraine, Russia and the dissidents all have the same missiles. So how can American be so certain who shot the plane and whether a missile was used.
11. But not to worry. It is a good excuse for applying sanction against Russia.
12. Clearly the intention is to create problems for the Russian people so that they would overthrow Putin.
13. 50% of Russian foreign earnings comes from selling gas to Europe. Now Russia have lost that income. It should be in trouble.
14. So Russia switched the gas to Turkey. That is provocative. That is a threat.
15. Really the Russians should just lie down and starve, hating Putin.
16. But strangely Putin is more popular now with the Russians.
17. The question is who is threatening whom? Yes Russia has occupied the Crimea. But that is after an elected government was brought down by street demonstrations.
18. Russia has helped Russian dissidents in the Ukraine. Isn’t this what the West and America are doing in many countries to bring down governments and plunge countries into disorder and turmoil. Where are the weapons for the IS coming from if not from Syria where a civil war has been started and the West are busy giving weapons and money.
19. The world does not need another world war. But this time it is obvious that the West is being provocative by applying sanctions and depriving Russia of its valuable European market.

The era of development of infrastructure, communication, and resource industry, to generalize slightly, had benefitted the nation and all Malaysian in general and without doubts in my opinion Malaysian are blessed….moving forward Tun in my humble opinion and i believe many Malaysian share with me this thoughts that we must ponder for a moment the present government initiatives to continue building onto existing infrastructure(High Speed Train), building onto higher structure ( Warisan) and the likes are example of era of waste and unproductive, encroaching effect that of reducing value proposition.
5. We must initiate a new era of conservation in this imminently trying time, and era of waste prevention and productive investment in the area of nation building for the people by upgrading the infrastructure that are more cost effective in the long run.
6. Naming a few conservation projects that will benefit the country in the long run would be the development of Biogas, Solar , LED lightings and other renewable energy alternatives.
7. These are real prospect and value proposition that would help the nation, what can be wrong in conservation, what can be wrong in reducing energy cost and what can be wrong in deploying and involving our Malaysian towards these initiatives.
8. It may not be glamorous as having the highest building in Malaysia or the high speed train but it is the right thing to do now…that throughout the country will benefit,

Russia today is quite unlike the previous the communist cum atheistic Soviet Union or USSR. Russia as a nation have now become rather ‘religious’ and spiritually conscious, while many of the Western nations have become quite the opposite.., i.e. lacking in moral values and somewhat hedonistic.
Even though some Western countries regard themselves as being Christian nations, while some of their leaders are members of those Christian Democratic Parties.., like (say) the Chancellor (PM) of Germany (Angela Merkel) who is the leader of the ‘Christian-based’ political party (i.e. the CDU – Christlich Demokratische Union Deutschlands).
However ‘Christian-like’ those political parties would regard themselves to be, nonetheless apparently they do not seem to aspire to the true teachings of Jesus Christ. When religion has been politicised through political parties via democratic means.., like (also say) the PAS (Pan-Malayan Islamic Party in Malaysia, or Ikhwanul Muslimin (the Brotherhood of Islam in Egypt).., then could such ‘religious’ political parties would bring about or enhance the spiritual aspect of religious teachings through the democratic process..?
Unfortunately, for most part we have to admit that such parties would only bring about further separation and discord between the masses (due to intense political campaigns in the democratic process), in their objective and quest for political power which do not really bring about harmony and unity within the masses. Why so..? Well.., because most of those ‘religious’ political parties have the notion that they must first and foremost also go for the political ‘road-shows’ and campaign like other political parties in order for them to wrest for political power so as to bring about or to manifest their so-called religious aspirations. Is that what democracy is all about for such ‘religious’ political parties.., that even religion shall have to subscribe and conform to democratic process to achieve for the spiritual well-being of masses..?

Rather than over-occupying ourselves on political issues that would most of the time distract or prompt us to distance ourselves from the true spiritual awareness and may even increase our level of arrogance and ego, thus culminating in losing our awareness and direction to God-Almighty.
We cannot deny that there is not much sincerity amongst most politicians but with only a few among them. In fact, some would say that – “…There is honour amongst thieves, but not amongst politicians…”
As the above-mentioned podcast discusses, that even among the religious circles, the teachings of religion has lost its soul or essence which has to be brought back to its beauty and excellence.., but first and foremost with pure SINCERITY. And sincerity must come from the heart and not from the mind. The said podcast discussion elaborates on such an issue for our discernment that may very well benefit us.
With regard to Russia, its leader Vladimir Putin appears to be sincere in his religious awareness (without having to beat his chest and to claim credit for such effort) and also seem to be very consistent and objective in his politics.., as compared to most of those Western politicians and leaders. Thus again, the choice is for the rest of the world to emulate or come together with such a leader should not be that difficult.., would it..?

Ada seorang pakar sejarah menyatakan bahawa Malaysia bukan Negara yang berdaulat tetapi Negara yang berpelembagaan. Terdetik persoalan dihati saya menyoalkan adakah dia tahu apa itu daulat & perlembagaan? Jangan main sebut sahaja sahaja. Mengenangkan umur yg tua, jadi saya beranggapan dia menyuarakan dalam keadaan nyanyuk.
Kenapalah semua org Malaysia dari peringkat umur/ pendidikan / pengalaman, tiada seorang pun yg memperjelaskan bagi mepertahankan perkara yg paling asas. I do not understand the policy of the West in relation to the Arab Spring which led up to its failure in Syria and now the Ukraine unless it is some sort of a secret plan to protect Israel. Is this the reason for Israel to retaliate so vehemently when ineffective rockets were fired at her from Gaza ? Only the originators of such policies can tell. But the present complex actions and reactions around the World seem to have arisen from the end of the Cold War in 1989 which was followed by Pax America’s ‘Globalization, Free Trade, Human Rights.’
The beneficiaries of America’s post Cold War policy were Russia, China, Brazil, India and South Africa.. Only Russia has had a long history of territorial expansion. And it was all the more surprising that with the break-up of the Soviet Union, many of its former States broke free. And one of them Ukraine left with Crimea in its pocket. This was a situation ready to explode sometime and somehow. This happened in 2013.
However, Russia like China has had over 25 years to ease into the mainstream of the World’s financial and economic highway aftere decades of tough regimentation of their societies. With freedom to make money, the innermost urge of humankind was released with all the dynamism and desire to succeed to make money.
America the World’s only superpower wanted to exercise her hegemony after her apparent success in causing the Soviet Union to implode politicallly and economically. But what would have been America’s largesse from gaining from the end of the Cold War, Pax America benefitted immensely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. America gain was second best. But the decades of the unfair treatment by the West on the Arabs in the Middle East was about to hit the West like a lightning in a clear summer sky. It was 9/11 !
The knee-jerk reaction of the Americans to 9/11 was emotional and hasty. It was not Pearl Harbour. 9/11 was intended to hit at the very ego of America’s world hegemony. What it did and with a beautiful hindsight is what we all can see on TV from 9/11 until 2014, deaths and destruction not only in the Middle East and Afghanistan and Pakistan but sometimes in other parts of the World as well – a many headed serpent situation which is fueled by a person’s belief. And Israel is still in place. But at what cost ? Of human lives and money ?
With the longest war in Afghanistan and more wars in Iraq, it seemed the Ukraine adventure with the usual demonstrations was but a shot in the dark. But did anyone forgot about the Russian Bear just across the border. Russia – a huge land mass with an indefatigable people who had beaten Hitler to death by the loss of millions – is a country which no sensible power should trifle with. Both Napoleon and Hitler were within the city limits of Moscow and yet both were defeated by their own vanity and lack of foresight.
By the same token, it is not wise for the West to take on the Russian Bear at a time of World financial turmoil which exposed the weakness of the EU’s political and socio-economic system which needs overhauling due to decades of easy living since the Second World War. And yet, the EU got themselves dragged in first in Libya, then Syria and later Ukraine.
However an interesting scenario which might arise at the present time is the forced formation of two World political and socio-economic blocs eg. A Western style Democratic bloc and another bloc led by Russia and China. With the latter Nation with its gargantuan money reserves becoming also a sort of IMF and the World Bank. This is the fall-out of so many American dollars now choking the World’s financial system without a home.
Here lies the rub of how the World is now divided by MONEY MONEY MONEY and not by political philosophy alone. Did the West do a good job with Communism by making the BRICS richer ? And now here is the pay-off through the West’s wrong policy moves in its haste to protect or advance their interests in Ukraine and Israel ? Was the West’s agenda worth the effort against the Russian Bear and the Chinese Dragon ? Or has the boom in the United States shale oil overshadowed the importance of the Saudi oil ? Only the future can provide the correct answer.
For us Malaysians, the Cold War was a simpler World to live and to play. It was a bi-polar World in which black was black and white was white. Malaysia was once very close to the United States which had its agencies like the Peace Corps, the Hooper Foundation, the USIS, the Ford Foundation, and the United States Army Medical Research Unit, Walter Reed Hospital. Washington DC etc. in Kuala Lumpur. American businesses like the Goodyear Rubber Plantations and the Anglo-American Mines were in operation as well. The American soldiers in Vietnam came to KL for rest and recreation in the mid-1960s.
Today, we live a multi-polar World in which every Nation scrambles for its survival. Our friends could be enemies of friends and of other enemies. It is a complex World with no World order ! Even a well established neutral Switzerland has been forced to open its banks for scrutiny. We may imagine what pressure could be brought upon us given our beloved Malaysia’s stability peace and harmony with the good Rakyat and natural resources in a strategic geo-politcal location.
Even the tiny Republic of Singapore with its ULTRA COMMUNISTIC POLITICAL AND SOCIAL SYSTEM CREATED BY ITS RULER 1959 – 2014 which has gone toxic, is making a deadly attempt through the poisoned chalice TPPA to enslave us through the nitty-gritties in volumes of legal documents. 1. The Al-Jazeera reporter, being a paid employee is just doing his master’s bidding. In this case, it is toward manufacturing consent for and on behalf of the Jewish interests, not only in the US, but also those spreading wide all over the EU, India, China and Russia as well. I used to watch Al-Jazeera when I abandoned CNN, BBC et. al. some years ago. Now I no longer watch that channel. It’s the BBC in disguise and I sometime find the reporting offensive and insulting to my sense of justice and fair play. Even the presenters were interchanged with the BBC. I now watch RT (Russia Today). I live overseas so that channel is available to me. The last time I was in Malaysia RT was not available on Astro. You should use your influence and bring RT to Astro so that Malaysians can have a balance to the news presented by the Western media including Al-Jazeera.

For my posting, I would like to play the role of a conspiracy theorist as I feel becoming a conspiracy theorist would allow better understanding on what is really happening in this world.
The lost of flight MH17 was a tragic event for Malaysia. No sooner have we even recovered from the still missing flight MH370, suddenly another plane was struck down. Many Malaysians was shock, depressed and angry at what happened to flight MH17. Malaysians were also feed with ‘news’ that there were evidence in the form of tape conversation between rebels that confirms that the plane was struck down by a missile from the rebels. Many Malaysians was very angry at the Russians at that time. Mr. Obama even called on Datuk Seri Najib to express sympathy and to bring those responsible to justice.
In this very blog, I had informed on the need for Malaysia and Malaysians to exercise self restraint towards Russia as not all is not what it seems. I understand we were very angry at that time, but we must think with our brain and not follow our heart.
I think the plan was for Malaysia to blame Russia for the downed MH17. Other developing countries who are friends with Malaysia, and seeing that Malaysia is a leader of developing countries, would quickly come to Malaysia aid. Thus, the United States would obtain two strong allies, i.e from the Europeans and from the developing countries. The United States hopes to get the help from Europeans and developing countries in its war against Russia.
Malaysia may not be much alone, but when two superpowers are at war, sometimes it is the help from smaller countries that can tip the balance in its favor to win the war. An illustration would be between UMNO and PAS. Although the Malays are the majority, because they are split into UMNO and PAS, then the minority chinese vote although small, can tip the balance to UMNO or PAS favor.
The plan or modus operandi was also applied for flight MH370. China was angry at Malaysia when flight MH370 first went missing. Again, in this very blog, I had advised for Malaysia to have self restrained and not to retaliate China’s anger. Had Malaysia retaliated, Malaysia would be forced to side with the United States, as Malaysia was no match for China. Thus, the United States pivot to Asia would be complete to contain China. The United States would have South Korea and Japan on the North East of China. The Philippines and Australia to the South East of China. And Malaysia and Singapore to the South of China. A complete circle to encircle China. Malaysia is also the next chairman for ASEAN, which could be a useful asset for the United States to attack China.
From both tragedies, it would seem the United States benefited the most. On MH17, the United States finally obtained help from the Europeans to sanction Russia. On MH370, the United States hopes to obtain allies from ASEAN to counter China.
Alhamdulillah, on both tragedies of flight MH17 and MH370, Malaysia showed self restrained. Had Malaysia given in to the anger and bitterness, the world may not be as peaceful as we see today. We might be in World War 3. A potential nuclear war between the United States against China and Russia had been averted, due to Malaysia not falling in to the trap laid by the Zionist and showed self restrained. Due to Malaysia self restrained, the United States, is still at a deadlock with Russia and China, with both sides having equal strength.
And now, as Malaysia does not want to play the role laid out by the Zionists, it is understandable why they want Anwar to become Prime Minister. Thus, the sudden tweet by Mr Biden. Maybe Anwar can play a better role.
Similarly, it is very questionable on the sudden drop of oil price. I remember when oil price was at it peak at US130 a barrel. People all over the world were saying gone are the days of cheap oil. And now oils prices have dropped to a low of USD60 a barrel.
You have suggested that oil can be used as a weapon against Israel as oil is controlled by Muslim countries. It is sad, these so called Muslim countries are not willing to use oil against Israel, but instead are willing to cause oil prices to drop so low,so as to hurt the Russians.
The war is still on going between the United States against Russia and China.
We should continue to build strong relationships with Russia and China. Malaysia must be careful not to fall into any trap laid by the Zionist and be a pawn of the United States especially in light of Malaysia becoming the chairman of ASEAN next year.

There are a few points that need to be made about your article above on the position of Al Jazeera on Russia and the wests perceptions and their propaganda on Russia and its leader Vladimir Putin.
Al Jazeera (whose Yusof Isa ) and others who I personally trained in Melbourne over a decade go in the media was once an independent media organization especially at the height of the US led invasion of Iraq.
It was not Julian Assange (now holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London over the Wiki Leaks affair) who first brought to world attentionthe murder, mayhem, torture and pillaging by US troops in Irak. It was the early Al Jazeera. Their then brave independent journalists were assassinated by the US and these assassinations and targeted killings were conveniently referred to as accidents or blue on blue friendly fire. Sorry was the compensation.
Assange and others like him came much later. By then Al Jazeera and their owners, the Royal family of Qatar were threatened by the west. They then brought in ex BBC, ex Deutsch Welle, ex ABC Australia staff to man the station and to use it as a pro western propaganda tool. Thats the Al Jazeera of today. They succeed because we do not believe in spending money on creating a counter tool capable of putting our stories forward in a succinct and effective way. We lack self confidence.
As for Russia and Putin, well English is not their language. That places them at a disadvantage when addressing an English language medium. But to his credit Putin has set up RT Media which is just as good if not better I dare say than Al Jazeera.
Russia under a thieving, drunk, alcohol soaked, womanising imbecile like Boris Yeltsin is what the west considers a democratic freedom loving free market state. When the vain MIkhail Gorbachev fell for the wests trap cashing on his and his wife Raisa’s vanity the destruction of what was the Soviet Union was set in motion. But fortunately because of Putin thats not been an irreversible act.
What Putin did patiently and quietly was to bide his time till the right moment came along to pounce. He is articulate and thoughtful. A master spy he had already cultivated Germans within that country’s intelligence apparatus and has been working steadily with those of other western states.
Much of the propaganda we hear and read about their economic failures is not news and certainly not isolated events confined to Russia alone. The oil market manipulation and trade sanctions has begun to backfire on the west. Each of the west European states that made billions exporting goods to Russia have now to focus on alternative markets where there are none. The losses are also theirs to bear. They include major US oil companies with billions of dollars in assets tied up in RUssia’s oil sector. And they are not too happy with Obama’s sanctions.
Russia is a command economy like China’s. They can afford to restructure and adjust better than the west who have to cope with their unions and higher wage demands.
The Australian dollar has lost 23 per cent in 3 months. That is a significant drop in the value of their currency. The Euro is not fairing any better, but you don’t hear Al Jazeera saying much about that.
The US was boasting about self sufficiency in oil. But they failed to tell us that no one in their right minds will invest in oil production in the US now that oil is below the $60 Bbl mark. Capital Expenditure does not favour good returns under these terms and market prices for oil. So although they may have a lot of oil no one is ready to invest in bringing that oil to production. They expect to engineer riots in Venezuela in order to control their production once more. Venezuela’s oil social programme is a bit like Irans. They both sell oil at very low prices to poor countries. And the US does not like that either.
The US has still not come out of its recession with extreme poverty and unemployment still very high, foreclosures of homes and businesses even greater than it was during the great depression in the 20’s and 30’s, crime rates at an all time high, imports exceeding exports, a massive external debt, bankruptcies of major cities like Oakland and Detroit and a general lifetime of deficits.
In fact the whole of Michigan state is in the red. Its industries like the automobile sector in ruins and the economy ta a near standstill. Michigan is not alone. So too is Ohio, New Mexico, Arizona, Oregon, Nevada and a few more like Florida and Alabama.
Russia has been producing the rocket engines the US now depends on to send its spacecraft and missiles into the stratosphere. Boeing is dependant upon massive infusions of cash from government to stay alive with Airbus having stolen much of its markets.
As for Europe they are a basket case. Who are they kidding about boycotts and sanctions? Most European nations excepting perhaps Germany cannot pay their debts. Fraud and incompetence, corruption and mismanagement means they will eventually become a Chinese colony. The US cannot bail them out.
The attack on the Russian economy also tells us that like LIBOR and the stock markets these are manipulated indices and systems. If the market is controlled by “market forces” such as supply and demand, why is it that political interference now, even where demand is present prevail?
Russia will have to wear a bit of pain but the west is on an irreversible decline and thats fact. The Arabs and other OPEC members will act when it hurts. And that will be soon. I tis also incumbent on oil producers to re adjust to a falling market in preparation for the next round. And those with foresight who take the initiative now will be the beneficiaries when oil inevitably finds equilibrium.
