1. No matter how friendly or unfriendly we are, the passing away of a man you know well saddens you.
2. I cannot say I was a close friend of Kuan Yew. But still I feel sad at his demise.
3. Kuan Yew became well known at a young age. I was a student in Singapore when I read about his defence of labour unions.
4. I first met Kuan Yew when I was a member of Parliament in 1964 after Singapore joined Malaysia in 1963. We crossed swords many time during the debates. But there was no enmity, only differences in our views of what was good for the newborn nation. He included me among the ultra Malays who was responsible for the racial riots in Singapore. Actually I never went to Singapore to stir up trouble. Somebody else whom I would not name did.
5. The Tunku attended the inaugural meeting of the PAP and was quite friendly with Kuan Yew. He believed Kuan Yew was a bastion against Communism. But when the PAP contested in the Malaysian elections in 1964 with Malaysian Malaysia as its slogan, Tunku felt that the PAP’s presence in Malaysia was going to be disruptive for the country.
6. When I became PM in 1981, I paid a courtesy call on Kuan Yew. It was a friendly call and he immediately agreed to my proposal that the Malaysia and Singapore times which had always been the same should be advanced by half an hour. I explained that it would be easier adjusting our time when travelling as we would fall within the time zones fixed for the whole world at one hour intervals.
7. I am afraid on most other issues we could not agree.
8. When I had a heart attack in 1989 and required open heart surgery, he cared enough to ring up my wife to ask her to delay the operation as he had arranged for the best heart surgeon, a Singaporean living in Australia, to do the operation. But by then, I had been given pre-med and was asleep prior to the operation the next day.
9. My wife thanked him but apologized. She promised to ring him up after the operation. She did the next evening.
10. When he was ill, I requested to see him. He agreed but the night before the visit, the Singapore High Commissioner received a message that he was very sick and could not see me.
11. Still when he attended the Nihon Keizai Shimbun annual conference on the Future of Asia in Tokyo, which I never failed to attend, I went up to him at dinner to ask how he was. We sat down together to chat and the Japanese photographers took our pictures promising not to put it in the press. I wouldn’t mind even if they did. But I suppose people will make all kinds of stories about it.
12. Now Kuan Yew is no more. His passage marks the end of the period when those who fought for independence lead their countries and knew the value of independence.
13. Asean lost a strong leadership after President Suharto and Lee Kuan Yew.

Thanks to JessCScott Blog, I managed to get the information from an independent Indian source being a Blogpost in June 2011 by T.J.S. George, the well-known journalist on his view of the Dictator Lee Kuan Yew and factual confirmation that you are a World’s Statesman. Information like this should be disseminated to all Bloggers to cut down the lies, insults and abuses once and for all. It is very clear after two generations the Dictator stopped at nothing to do down others, big and small.
Quote. T.J.S. George courtesy JessCScott Blog.
” The West has spread the impression that Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew is Asia’s outstanding economic miracle man while Malayasia’s Mahathir as a cantankerous ogre, hater of white people and dictator to boot. Both men are dressed up portraits. What makes Mahathir special is that while pursuing economic progress, he never lost sight of the larger picture of human values. That cannot be said of Lee Kuan Yew and certainly not of Indonesia’s Suharto or Thailand’s Thaksin Shinawatra. ”
Let the truth of your distinguished achievements prevail. Let all Malaysians stand proud and strong and united on your achievements for them. Let conmen and crooks be exposed who enriched themselves at the expense of the citizens.

An important book written by a well-known Indian journalist. T.J.S. George ‘ Lee Kuan Yew’s Singapore.’ 1973 is a must read by all informed Malaysians interested in the current affairs of Malaysia and Singapore. The writer’s insights into this Dictator (1959-2015) are perceptive and fulfilling. The Dictator could con two generations of insiders and outsiders by using his cunning and his out-of-date Cambridge degree. His admirers salaamed for two generations for no reason and were not aware of his 38 failed Policies.

Here is another independent Singaporean view of his oppression by the rule of the late Ruler (1959-2015) for 50 years. Quote,’ Singapore has been using the weapons of propanganda, repression of expression and control of media to solve its internal and external problems..’ and the writer went on..’LKY did not do it alone. he had a team. Unfortunately, the team did not stop him from the doing the bad and thus the legacy is left to us today to resolve…..Of course, we can kick the can down the road to our children and their children but by then Singapore may not exist anymore.

Tun, what a succinct observation by an ordinary Singaporean whom we all know is just like our Rakyat in our beloved Malaysia. Both are not stupid and deserve every respect. This also confirms my thesis that the self-centred late Ruler or Dictator imposed the Godless Ultra Communistic Political and Social System on the citizens by Apparatchiks aka Meritocrats also known as the Singapore Model or authoritarian capitalism or benign dictatorship (no such thing) or rich Cuba without the havanas but the bananas.
Tun with you around us we must not and should not be like the failed State of Singapore !
Malaysia Boleh ! Malays Boleh ! Malaysians Boleh !

The proposed TPPA which is the poisoned chalice for our beloved Malaysia if she signs it, is now struggling to get the US Congress support. An interesting point which came to my mind arising from my experience is .’ Are our Civil Servants and their foreign Consultants aware that even though there are 12 named countries in this TPPA, the whole World can RE-LABEL their products and flood into our wide opened market via Singapore.’ This is nothing new. Anyone in business should know re-labelled products do get imported from Singapore. How to protect ourselves from malpractices of a deliberate nature ? The Singapore International Arbitrtion Centre ? The cost and the time factor will make a Malaysian business close shop !
MALAYSIA BOLEH ! MALAYS BOLEH ! MALAYSIANS BOLEH ! NO TPPA FOR US !

Tun,
With my deeper interest in the Politics of the late Ruler (1959-2015) since August 2011, I discovered to my utter surprise that our fellow Malaysians do not realise what Political System our beloved Malaysia has adopted in comparison to the self-centered Godless Ultra Communistic Political and Social System imposed on the citizens by Apparatchiks aka Meritocrats ! On further study, the extent of deep brainwashing of the Malaysians especially the Chinese, was very effective. Hence, the political conundrum today with the Singaporean Trojan Horse DAP in play. Fortunately, on their Homeland front, the late Ruler’s (1959-2015) System has gone toxic whilst our Free Malaysian Style Democracy with its Open Capitalistic Characteristics is reliable and tested. But as a Democracy we cannot avoid electing sub-standard digits to man this System like any other Democracy. The following Bog gives the independent view of LKY from a 16 year old perspective :-

These days there is never a dull moment in the late Ruler’s (1959-2015) tiny tropical isle of the Republic of Singapore.

What an extraordinary last wish of the Ruler (1959-2015) in his Will. ‘ our house…………..be demolished immediately after my death.’
I could not think of an answer until one pundit told me that the Ruler (1959-2015) request is to forestall any future revenge which would be deliberately demolished by a future Ruler, that is if you know what I mean.
Only Hitler ordered the burning up of his corpse at the end and Benito Mussolini and his mistress were hung up naked by the shores of Lake Como
This is another facet to confirm the late Ruler’s (1959-2015) cruel Godless Ultra Communistic Political and Social System as imposed on the citizens by the Apparatchiks aka Meritocrats otherwise known as the Singapore Model or authoritarian capitalism or benign dictatorship ( no such thing )

Tun Dr MM is still alive, and no matter what happened in the past, he is a Malaysian and still our ex-pm, ex-finance minister, ex-president umno and bn chairman. he should advice sirul to come home and face the court of malaysia. he only needs to make sure sirul is protected by IGP Polis Di Raja Malaysia. his lawyers can appeal for lighter sentence. power abuse at the highest level is an open secret during his era because of Keranamu, Malaysia Boleh. I hope Tun will take the courage to do this for the country, Keranamu Malaysia.

This is for those Bloggers who have an abiding interest in the Singapore inspired and promoted poisoned chalice TPPA. This is the latest from the Singapore Business Times 11 April 2015 which also famed for giving giving financial advice to our Finance Minister who happens to be the Prime Minister after 2003 until January 2012. Their dual purpose journalist stationed in Kuala Lumpur is pictured in colour in the naive, hospitable and friendly UMNO owned New Stratis Times Streets Central Supplement Page 8. March 8 2014.
Today, the Singapore Business Times headlined, ‘ TPP DEAL URGENT WITH US ELECTION YEAR NEARING : PM (Singapore). This Report went on . ‘ The 12 countries involved in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) have a duty to convince their respective populations that this proposed free trade agreement (FTA) is beneficial to them,’ said PRIME MINISTER LEE HSIEN LOONG on Friday.
This reported news statement purportedly from the Prime Minister of Singapore sounds like a Papal dictat with the emphasis on its urgency for all these mickey mice to sign quickly. Who wants the Singapore inspired and created poisoned chalice TPPA to be signed frivolously. FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME THIS URGENCY TO ROPE IN OUR BELOVED MALAYSIA TO SIGN HER OWN DEATH WARRANT IS IN PRINT IN BLACK AND WHITE. Why is the Prime Minister of Singapore so keen because the sole BENEFICIARY IS SINGAPORE’S SURVIVAL AND THE SURVIVAL OF THE RULER’S (1959-2015) LEGACY. I predict that within 15 years, Singapore must face the 4 OPTIONS IF OUR BELOVED MALAYSIA DOES NOT SIGN THE TPPA.
1. Merge with the Union to form the 53rd State of the United States.
2. Become a British Colony again.
3. Merge again with Malaysia
4. Maintain status quo in a multi-lateral World of changing Power Order.
As I said before, if our beloved Malaysia signs, the Malays will be like the Red Indians of North America. They signed. They died without a whimper. For the non-Malays, a fate worse than death as they had no power to sign their own DEATH WARRANT.

While Mahathir has said that Lee Kuan Yew was kiasu when it comes to negotiating the solutions with Malaysia, Mahathir must remember that he always tried to bangsat (play cheat) in negotiation.
Mahathir is much worse that being kiasu because LKY was negotiating diplomatically for the best deal for Singapore. Mahathir tried to abolish the water treaties legally signed by the two countries – always threatening to cut off the water supply which Singapore buys from Malaysia with cash, and alternatively tried to demand exorbitant price for the raw water they sell to Siingapore – literally trying to hold the country to ransom. Fortunately, he was unable to succeed because the treaties are deposited with the United Nations. So what he did next was to hold Singapore ransom by withholding the export of sand and granite – essential to build houses and reclaim land. His demand for ransom is worse than ISIS terrorists in Syria. He doesn’t even care if his fellow Muslims suffer with the rest of non-Muslim Singaporeans.
And of course, Mahathir did not honour the treaty signed by his Minister regarding the railway line and the package deal. Which Prime Minister signed treaties and do not honour them?
Mahathir says he never interferes with the successive Governments, he forgot that he was the main cause of the downfall of his successor PM Abdullah. Now he tries to interfere with the Najib government by lambasting him and literally asking his supporters in UMNO to replace him as the PM. Instead of being a Minister Mentor where an experienced Prime Minister (like Lee Kuan Yew) mentoring the younger Ministers, he took potshots now and then at the Najib Government. Mahathir should be given a title Minister Kachiau for his interference.
One must remember that Mahathir trusts no one to succeed him as the Prime Minister except his son, who is the Chief Minister of his home state Kedah.
I think no where on this planet do you have a country where the Prime Minister accuses his deputy of sodomy – not once but twice. Why Mahathir doesn’t know his deputy has homosexuality tendency under his very nose for so many years, only God knows (cannot use the word “Allah” lah – especially the minorities Malaysian Christian or non-Muslim – which Mahathir says he takes care of them!)
Ahem, Mahathir takes care of the minority citizens? Interestingly Mahathir takes care of his minority citizens by not giving them places in the Universities, or giving them non-important courses of study, even though they are the best in the country. Mahathir also does not give jobs to the minority citizens even though they are hardworking and have the best brains. If Mahathir takes care of the minority races so well, I wonder why so many of the minorities have to migrate to another country to seek an education or to find a job. Just look at the thousands of Malaysians crossing the Causeway and the 2nd Link early in the morning to work and to study in Singapore.
Mahathir wants to compare himself with Lee Kuan Yew? Let us see how many Kings, Prime Ministers or Presidents visit him when his times comes. To Mahathir, only Mahathir is the best – together with his anointed sons! Mahathir tak boleh!
Dearest YAB Tun,
Allow me Tun to address this FAKE ‘HBT456’, April 4, 2015 at 8:21 AM .
Haiya Apek or Ahso..What are you ‘merepek’ about? Instead of using ‘HBT456’ as your displayed name, why don’t you use your real name? Afraid?
Obviously there are several individuals writing on behalf of ‘HBT456’. Only one word best described them -> ‘PENGECUT’.
What makes you all so sure that Tun will go first?
Another thing, when are you going to ‘sign off’ permanently? ‘Cakap tak serupa bikin -> trademark Pembangkang’. No integrity at all; cannot be trusted.
Thanks Tun. Semoga Tun dipanjangkan umur dan sentiasa sihat.
*** May Allah SWT bless Tun and family ***
Tun,
With Macau, Hong Kong, Palembang, Goa, French Pondicherry, Sparta etc in mind, the tiny Republic of Singapore will have the following 4 choices before them within 15 years in the fast changing World of Clicks :-
1. To become the 53rd State of the Union with the United States. The historic Straits of Johor will be filled in and the border is defined by a monsoon drain and a chain=linked fence. Every morning, we may say, ‘ Selamat Pagi to Uncle Sam.’ across this border.
2. To become a British Colony again. Even the Scots want out.
3. To merge with Malaysia again. The ancients forbid as ,’ a good horse does not return to old pastures.’
4. To maintain status quo with the humongous fully fledged (lend-lease) military which shoots real bullets to protect the now departed Ruler (1959-2015) whilst its neighbours love to enjoy 19 holes of hotly contested golf. And last but not least, the highest cost of living in the World. Acheh !
MALAYSIA BOLEH ! MALAYS BOLEH ! MALAYSIANS BOLEH !

Here are more truths coming out of the enslaved tropical isle now known as the RICH CUBA WITHOUT THE HAVANAS BUT THE BANANAS. If Singapore has no United States support, the Republic should look exactly like Cuba today. However, the late Ruler (1959-2015) succeeded to con 2 generations of Westerners using his Cambridge credentials. But the facts and the reality of it all are now coming home to roost – So quickly after his recent demise. How long can the brainwashing machine keep on churning of a deceased ?
My discovery of the Ruler’s (1959-2015) Godless Ultra Communistic Political and Social System imposed on the citizens by Apparatchiks aka Meritocrats in 2014 is now confirmed many times over by the international media. Descriptions of his rule ranged from ‘benevolent dictator’,’Singapore Model’.’Authoritarian Capitalism’ etc were just apologia for a out and out Dictator who fashioned his System from the likes of Communism, Fascism, Capitalism and a sprinkling of Socialism, and Confucianism or whatever which would have kept him in power in his life-time. No more. No less. At the end of the day, when he is gone, the citizens suffer – poor and a bleak future in a globalised World roiled by eternal financial tsunamis. – the Rich becomes Richer. the Poor becomes Poorer in a tropical isle of no human or natural resources.

HBT 3/4 What legacy have yr favorite Lee Leaves you
A 17 years old Boy an excellent Handsome Chinese young Man Amos Yee
A Singaporean
Slapped S,pore PM on his Death you called that Legacy
Don,t understand Why he should be Charge
It a sign of indications
In India they raise Tony Tan photo instead of Lee Kuan Yew Photo
That also you called Legacy
The fact is not being Hypocrites as Amos Yee
He is being True himself Not Hypocrites like most Chinese like you
And by the way Do you see the Taiwanese Cartoonist of LKY
Haha you should see
I respect LKY , like it or don,t like it
We respect upon Passing
But I,m making a Point to you
Mr Lee did all he could to make Singapore a success story. Politicians may differ in their thoughts and approaches to nation building. But what I see, Singapore is what it is today is because of Mr Lee’s vision and contributions to the state. A success story that other leaders can emulate.
Mubarak chan is nothing compare to mr lee kuan yew. he is good in saging things that tun dr mm likes to hear.
Chinese labor, dont worry. As long as you dont throw your vote to mca and gerakan, our basic right will be guaranteed under the federal constitution in peninsula.
Tun dr mm only works and spend hard to get malay votes so that umno president will continue to be the pm during his time as the pm.
In fact, without mca and gerakan, we live peacefully though there are many social crimes in here. as chinese in malaysia, we have the equal right similar to malay and bumiputra to vote either bn or opposition parties.
If tun dr mm leaves us one day, will there be any world leaders pay respect to him? I doubt so since he prefer to do it my way as he sees fit. I dont mean to offend you sir, but I have to admit this is the inequality and unfair legacy that you have left us to deal with in the future.
Tun
For ChineseLabor. You are either a robot from the Ministry of Information, Singapore or not. If you are not, then I draw your attention to your remarks ,’ all most perfect country,’ burdenless life ‘and LKY put his country and people before everything else.’ I have heard these sentiments many many times before. These are not the FACTS but just the sentiments which were rolled over and over again by the sychophants to brainwash the unwary and the young.
From the tone of your sychophantic comment, you took up a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. job in Singapore recently. Here are the facts to put you into perspective. It is also good for you to let us know your appreciation of the place in 10 years time.
1. In Singapore today, there are 3.0 million indigenous Singaporeans, 1.2 million FT and 800,000 permanent residents who paid a minimum of S$ 1.3 million to get in. The 1.2 million FT can be reduced at anytime like yourself.
2. There are many Singaporeans who live quietly in Malaysia instead of Singapore. Some have their second families in Malaysia as well. Some Malaysians working in Singapore have bought properties in Malaysia in anticipation of their eventual retirement. One of them lives opposite me.
3. I have 2 doctor friends. One worked for a life-time in Vancouver and retired to Taman Tun Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. The other worked in Hong Kong and retired back to Pulau Pinang where he was born.
4. 99.99% of the employees in Singapore are like you, ChineseLabour. They are only interested in their work between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and nothing else. In your case, you sing praises of your new found host.
5. If you have been to Sydney, London, New York, Zurich, Paris etc., your paradise Singapore is like them all to quote you ,’ all most perfect country.’ This is the reason why many generations of Chinaman ‘ChineseLabour’ settled in these countries long before you were born. A normal Government governing a tiny place should produce these results. No big deal.
6. Have you examined the fine print in your CPF or other Government documents ? Are you aware that 50% of the indgenous Singaporeans are demanding their contributions returned from the Government ? Go and ask.
7. At your level you might not be aware that Singapore is one of the most cliquish country in the World ! Clansmen only mix with their own clansmen, ex-SAF officers mix with their own, ex-old schoolboys mix with those from the same schools, English speaking mix with English speaking, golfers mix with golfers etc. Who do you mix with ?
8. Are you aware that you work in a political System, Godless Ultra Communistic Political and Social imposed by the late Ruler (1959-2015) through Apparatchiks aka Meritocrats on the citizens ? In Malaysia, we practise the Free Malaysian Style Democracy with Open Capitalistic Characteristics since 1957 which is reliable and tested through general consensus. Do not be fooled by this abang adek nonsense.
9. Do you know that the late Ruler (1959-2015) screwed down the Singaporean indigenous population from 100% in 1959 to 62% in 2010 ? Vide Singapore Government White Paper on Population. 2011. During the same period, 300,000 middle class supporters of your new hero, the late Ruler (1959-2015) emigrated. Their gaps are now filled in by foreign digits just like you.
10. Do you know that Malaysian FTs like you, do not want to take up Singaporean citizenship ?
11. And if you marry a Singaporean girl, you lose exactly 50% of your wealth when she runs away from you !
12. Miscellaneous.
MALAYSIA BOLEH ! MALAYS BOLEH ! MALAYSIANS BOLEH !
All the while I have been respecting and admiring Dr.Mahathir since my childhood, things have been changed until my university times where I started getting interest on politics. Because of the hard life in Malaysia nowadays, I have no other choices but to work in Singapore as foreign labor and I am now in my 25s. And attending Lee Kuan Yew’s funeral sparked off many thoughts in my brain. When Lee Kuan Yew passed away, over 40k+ thousands of ppl willing to spend hours just to pay their respect on LKY. All these are because of the legacy that LKY left behind to ppl, not just for Singaporeans but for Malaysians and other countries ppl as well. An almost perfect country for everyone, burdenless life due to SGD currrency, secure environment (unlike the terrible crime rates in Msia), freedom of almos doing anything u want as long as u don’t hurt others, and most of all, an 95% corruptless country I dare to say. What is Malaysia nowadays comparing to our neighbour country which is resourceless than us. When LKY died, this is the contributions he left. If one day u have passed away, what are the things u left for us Malaysians. I always thinking of coming back to Malaysia one day, but what I see in Malaysia really made me dissappointed and desperate. How would you compare yourself to LKY? What hav u turned Malaysia to after reigning Malaysia for more than 20 years? All your efforts have been totally ruined by the current politicians, YES, everything! Where is the Vision 2020 u promised to us that I learnt from my primary school textbook? Where have gone all I admiration and respect to such a great person I once believed during my childhood. When LKY put his country and people before everything else, how important are we Malaysians to you??
Salam Bahagia Tun Dr M. To me, you and LKY are a chip off the same block. Both are unwaveringly committed to your goals of progress and advancing your people. For LKY, it was Singapore. For you, the Malays, and consequently, Malaysia. In my opinion and through my observations, to be a successful leader in control of countries with diverse and opposing viewpoints, a little bit of ruthlessness is necessary to stay on top of the game, and to see through the vision and goals you have made. Some sacrifices are bound to be needed to control dissent. That I’ve seen in both you and LKY, and a great number of other successful leaders around. As long as the policies implemented are good for the country and its people, the people will tolerate and forgive the little bit of ruthlessness in its leaders, as long as it is within certain limits. While I do not agree with everything you said and that I usually support the DAP now, you are and will always be my hero for Malaysia, for being the strong leader that Malaysia needed, for the visionary that you are, for your outward and forward looking policies, for making us believe that we can compete with the world, for standing up to the West when required with your usually witty rhetoric, for being bold and speaking your mind, for the great many landmark projects you implemented during your rule, for putting us on the map… and so on.
Your love and passion is and has always been for the Malays, I can see. I don’t mind that, as this is only natural, i.e. loving and wanting good for your own people. Fortunately, you are a pragmatist and can see that for the Malays to progress, the whole country will have to, as well. But it is sad to see that many of your kindred do not understand nor share your view. Your advice frequently falls on deaf ears, and they are more interested in petty struggles for influence and one-upmanship over one another and other races … than seeing the big picture, of being competitive, not merely with one another, but with the world. Sadly, I can’t think of any leader in our country now who has the same outward looking vision or caliber as yourself, whether in the ruling government or in the opposition. I long for the day that we have another strong leader like yourself to lead us and unite us. We are at the crossroads of Asia and diversity can be our strength, but we’re screwing it up by the petty race, religion and faction-oriented squabbles that we see daily. I wish you a long and healthy life and a sharp mind, so that you can continue to give advice and guidance to our leaders to build a strong Malaysia, united and diverse, who can stand up to the world and be a role model, a Malaysia we can be proud of again.
Thank you Tun. May God always be with you.
Asslamualaikum dan Selamat Sejahtera,
I cannot say I that know Mr Kuan Yew. I cannot say that I am saddened either. I just heard about him from a distance. Not so much and no special interest placed. I visited Singapore once in my life only and that is all. But I do like to pay my condolence to his family on his demise.
What interest me is the way Tun managed his differences between Mr Kuan Yew. He could choose to spew hate about Kuan Yew upon his demise but instead he carefully choose his words to reflect courtesy.
We as a Muslim was taught that Allah created mankind by races to know each other, appreciate the diversity and learn to love each other. But bad apples among us love to use that excuse to hate each other instead. This is not what was shown to me by my parents.
My father was an avid supporter of PAS who married my mom an AJK of wanita UMNO. They live happily ever after and never ever quarrel about politics in front of us. Heck, they were like never quarrel at all. My dad use to drive my mom to mesyuarat cawangan and fetch her back after she finished her meeting. My dad and my mom was never in the same bilik gerakan during election time.
According to my late dad, political differences was a petty thing (Furu’). The most important thing in our live is to preserve our faith to Allah SWT (Tauhid) and do good deeds to all mankind. If we cannot portray good akhlak (good behaviour), we are not doing it (Islam) correctly, he said.
The best part about hatred is that the very person who hates, suffer the most. In Malay we call it ‘sakit hati’. When you spew hate, your heart will surely suffer from sakit hati while the one that you hate may not even feel a thing. Excessive ‘sakit hati’ will result in anger, depression, rage, mentally ill and may even result to crime which we surely going to regret it.
This is just my 2 cents. May Allah grant us wisdom and a blessed life. Thanks for allowing me the space Tun.
Assallammualaikum Tun.
Saya mohon ruangan.
[Dear Mr balance..
I am not talking about politics nor i am talking and comparing who done more or done less]
That just it..
You have forgotten my role as ‘Agent Provocateur’.
Who?
In the right frame of mind wants to be an agent?
Let’s compromise then.
Let’s talk about entertainment.
Is Arnold Susah Nak Eja Nama is better hero when playing Rambo than Stallone?
Is Arnold is a better pugilist to play the role Rocky?
Or you see they have made the right choice?
Argument, dispute and contention is the order of human nature..
I am not disputing LKY as a hero to the Singaporean.
I am not disputing Benjamin Nyetanyahu as a hero to the Israelis.
I am not disputing Ratko Mladic as a hero to the Serbian.
But as value goes, one must be tied to certain convention.
Convention of belief and practices.
We and I meant most the Malay’s and muslimin population in Malaysia does not agree about the LKY legacy.
If you must know he is a puppet ( choose a better word for your liking ).
He is a puppet to the American.
The American needs a strong base in East Asia.
So it happened they lends the strongest of hand to LKY.
And with the package came Israeli military ‘advisers’.
All this thing is not known to civilian like you.
Me?
I had and ‘inside sources’ just like Mr Mubarak Chan knows more than what he is telling.
So..
Our dispute will not be the role he played as a ‘great man’.
My dispute is the ‘legacy’ he have left behind.
Let’s agree to disagree.
Let’s appreciate the true giant. The one who is dependent and not a lackey to the big powers who tries to ‘entice’ him to swear allegiance to their beck and call.
The giant who thumb the nose to the big powers.
The giant who make us proud because the call is just.
Truth hurt’s.So you don’t need to know the details.
Ask all the retired servicemen and they might hinted certain thing’s but definitely all this thing unknown to the civilian.
Ode to the giant.

Specially for Saudara DAPshit. I agree and support your objective comments. Here is a true Singaporean taxi-driver story for all.
In the 1990s. I did not use the Singapore Government owned limousine service staffed by policemen anymore. I decided that the better option was to befriend a taxi-driver and charter him whenever I visited Singapore. I found the Singaporean Chinese taxi-drivers too garrulous. By chance I befriended a Malay taxi whom I engaged his services for many years.
Then, one fine day he told me, ‘ Sir, I am having a bit of trouble.’ Out of curiosity, I asked, ‘ What is it Mr Amin ?’ He continued, ‘ My family broke up when a HDB letter arrived and it offered us a 3 bed-roomed HDB flat.’ I commented,’ Is’nt this a good thing, Amin ?’ ‘ No !’ he replied. ‘ You see, Sir, I have two daughters and we are now living in a 2 bed-roomed flat which is adequate for our needs. I only earn about S$ 1,200 per month and there is no way I could earn more even though I work day and night because the taxi company has a special formula. My daughter works in a bank. My family wanted me to take up the 3 bedroomed flat and when I refused, my family assaulted me. We all ended up in a police station. Thereafter, things moved swiftly. In no time at all, we all appeared before the Syariah Court and my wife and myself were divorced with half of my assets given to her. I am now left with S$100,000 without a flat.’ ‘ Mr Amin, I am sorry to hear this.’ was my reply. He continued to pour out his new found independence and his activities. ‘ At first, as a bachelor again, and with no responsibilities, I visited Batam and Bandung looking for someone suitable to be my spouse. I even returned to my mother’s place, Johor Baru. I was not happy. Eventually, I found out that all these ladies only wanted my money.’
There is no compassion in the super-efficient legal process in the tiny Republic. Such a human problem would not have happened in our beloved Malaysia.

I am not talking about politics nor i am talking and comparing who done more or done less. I am surely not comparing Malays or Non-Malays, I am just talking about life and living. If everything we discussed or happened in this world must be related to race and religion or doing something must be related to politics or to win or losing, then we are leaving life and living behind.
You have a your views and many others have many many type of views but what is the same for all of us? Is going back to the soil (earth) the same for all?
If freedom or success are to be tied-down by thoughts and views, then what’s is the point of living?
There are many great men and women in this world, accept and appreciate them dont compare them. Then peace will come from within. Peace cannot and will never come from outside or external source.
What i am saying is Tun is a great man so are many others. It is not necessary to compare them. ALL ARE GREAT MAN and GREAT WOMAN including you and me. We are great in our own way. I am great man because i created a nice small garden for myself to enjoy and care for. My GREAT is my Great and it is within me only. Maybe my children dont like it and recreate something else when i am gone. So be it! Whats so important about my small garden anyway?
How can someone force a horse to drink water? One way is to give very salty or very sweet things to eat thus thirst happens and horse drink water voluntary. That is what happened in Singapore, there should not be blame for whatever happened happen with eyes wide open. Only in the mind says otherwise.
A BBC report the EU have lifted ban on milk quotas http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-32136218.
If trade terms are the same for both Malaysia-Australia and Malaysia-EU, expect better competition in local market for baby’s milk powder. With much reduced prices many families will be happy.

Tun..like always most non malays or non muslim have strong different opinions from us.
That is understandable because human must be at odd at their belief.
However like stated in Al Quran one belief needs to be scrutinized time after time wether it is the correct path.
One supposition of belief came from the west is we must not ‘desecrates’ any individual who is quite dead and cannot defend themselves. Those who do so is a gorilla..An opinion shared by the very primate!..:)
If as a muslimin we subjected ourselves to this belief than we cannot learns from history..
We cannot blame the Portuguese for invading Malacca.
We cannot blame Joshua Lopez opss..I meant Lopez de Squera for leading the first attack against Malacca like what we singsong for the exam..
‘Lopez De Squera datang ke Melaka dengan 1100 orang askar’..
We cannot blame Jeneral Yamashita for leading the occupation in Tanah Melayu.
We cannot blame Chin Peng for Communism ‘insurgency’ in Tanah Melayu.
Why?
For simply they are dead and cannot defend themselves..
Wow..do you really believe this kind of crapped primate?
Why Tun we need to grind the atrocities?
First we must make sure the mistake did not recur.
Second to tell the future generation what trully happens.
Third we must choose side.
Those who does not agree must be reasoned or cautioned or simply shipped out from the equation.
Tun the why is what happening now in our beloved land.
This is the only land available to us.
The ‘mercenaries’ will leave one thing’s got unbearable in this land.
History tells us that.
And the why the primate would like us not to broach the subject is plain to see..
HOW WOULD IT POSSIBLE TO PRACTICE MONKEY BUSSINESS WITH TUN AND THE SPARTAN AROUND??
Terima kasih Tun.
Salam Tun,
In honour of the late great LKY, I could not help but pay tribute lest people forget his good deeds.
Meritocracy without favours is most definitely practiced in Singapore. As in the case of the ‘meteoric rise’ of Brig General Lee Hsien Loong, wife Ho Ching (Temasek Holdings) and younger brother Lee Hsien Yang (Singtel) although those are characteristics of an authoritarian state, but in Singapore it is meritocracy at its finest.
International Herald Tribune, Bloomberg, Fateha.com and a few others found out this fact at great costs to them, being sued in Singapore’s courts.
So this is the what Malaysia should learn from Singapore how to run a country efficiently.
Although I feel these Singaporeans are a teeny weeny bit hypocrites cos many of them don’t really understand their National Anthem as it is in a foreign language, but this might be just a figment of my imagination.
Hail LKY!

Salam Ayahda,
Sejak 2003 ketika Ayahda meninggalkan tampuk pemerintahan, gejala dadah sintetik Syabu makin berleluasa, ramai anak muda dan org berumur yg menagih syabu dan berasa dirinya berfikiran cerdik, ‘out of the box thinking’, berdaya saing namun tidak ubah bagaikan “a living zombie controlled by extrmely low frequency”.
Tetap mendukung perjuangan Zionis. Lebih Kuah Dari Nasi.
Ikuti penjelasan dadah sintetik Syabu di sini
Artis,Syabu,Makmal,Statistik & Sting

Salam YAB & Yg diKasihi Tun,
Terima kasih Tun.
*** Semoga Allah SWT sentiasa melindungi Tun sekeluarga. ***
Tun,
Why do people like to continue to say not so good things about someone that is dead and cannot defend himself. If majority of the world thinks LKY is a reasonably good leader why some cannot accept?
Unforgiving is not a good or correct word to describe such people.
What word to use? I dont know maybe someone can help.
What is commonly Gorilla known to do Ha ha ha
The only thing I admired about LKY was that he managed to exterminate religious influence from public sphere. Religion, in Singapura, is left behind at home, in the care of the child’s own parents. Even religious greetings or wishes, of all religion, in radio and television broadcast, are forbidden.
However, I doubt whether LKY can do that in a Malay Majority State. Singapura, as we all know have only urban constituent.
I’m a great admirer of yours. Read all books written by you Sir. After a few years, read them the second time.
To me, the 1st. mistake that Tun Dr.M made, a year after becoming PM was bringing that ‘Rear Admiral’, from ABIM into UMNO. ABIM was then aligned to PAS, an extreme Islamist Party. Everybody in PAS was furious when Anwar joined UMNO. With Anwar in the Government, BN’s popularity amongst Malays, heightened. This excited Dr.M. As a mediocre graduate of Malay Studies from UM, no body exactly know where Anwar acquired his religious education. Somehow he managed to masquerade as a pious man, even manage to lead prayers in Mosque and Suraus, now and then. The ‘Islamization’ of schools and the government, soon ensued. Dr.M played along as PAS influence, somewhat diminished. This was the 2nd. mistake, that caused Malays regression.
With too much religion, people are easily fooled and misled. Even the brilliant Dr.M was hoodwinked by Anwar’s pious deeds and behaviour, to the extent of grooming Anwar as successor. In the eyes of Dr.M, in the early 90s, Anwar was adorable. The trust vested iin Anwar was so great that he literally gave Anwar the Finance portfolio, cum Deputy PM.
The 3rd mistake that Dr.M made was dismissing outright, Police intelligence presented by the then IGP, about Anwar’s sexcapade and also that sodomy allegation in Parliament by Karpal Singh and Mat Sabu. That letter by Ummi Hafilda Ali too. Ummi Hafilda is sister to Azmin Ali, now Dato’ MB Selangor.
(Nallakaruppan, Anwar’s former best friend and tennis-partner, even publicly alleged
that Anwar, once had lead a Raya Puasa prayers, after buggering a young man, a day earlier. Why Anwar doesn’t sue him is anyone’s guess).
Therefore, Anwar was Dr.M’s greatest mistake to the Malaysian people. If Tun Dr.M had any other greater regrets, this must be it.
Had Dr.M, brought his sons into politics to look after him, like what LKY did, Malaysia would not be in such a dire political mess, today. Who give a damn about Nepotism when DAP & PKR practiced it themselves, to the hilt, that is.
If we compare Tun Dr.M and LKY, they are totally 2 different personalities, apart. LKY was a authoritarian, somewhat a dictator-like ruler, while Dr.M was open to criticism. Malaysia under Dr.M, citizen with dissenting views were not send to jail without trial, sued bankrupt, or fled into exile. In Singapura under LKY, crimes and sex offences which disgraced the Chinese community were censored and not permitted to be published in the newspapers.
To me, the actual founding father of Singapore should have been the British Admiral who leased Tumasek from the Johore Sultanate. Before becoming PM, his job was already made easier due to British’s colonial policy of favoring Singapore as their major trading port.
Assalamualaikum Tun.
Berkenaan karakter pemimpin.
Tun Mahathir meletak keluarga selepas negara. Manakala Najib Tun Razak meletak keluarga bersama sama negara semasa memimpin.
Sayang isteri tinggal tinggalkan, sayang anak tangan tangankan.
Blog bukan sebarang blog.
Terima kasih Tun.
UMNO , Najib must learn from Lee Kuan Yew P.A.P
Of how important ISD or ISA in Malaysia , Sedition & Defamation Act
So its Simply Stupid for Najib ,UMNO to Abolished ISA Simply Stupid again
Don,t understand the Malaysia Govt listening to Opposition to abolished ISA
Yet It is Opposition that listen much of LKY stands
Najib , UMNO are simply Stupid
Singapore A in control Safety No Riots No Protests STIIL NEEDS ISD
Simply Stupid of Malay UMNO Govt to abolish it
LKY PAP embraces ISA & Defamation yet again very much in control of Public Media
SO what the big fuss of Malaysia Opposition especially DAP about Sedition,ISD & Govt in control of Public Media . Is it not PAP ,DAP Mentor ?
Salam Tun,
I am still deeply moved by kuih lopes ‘meritocracy without favours’ claim that I must add that between 1987 to 2006 there were 99.9% Presidential Scholars from one particular race only in Singapore.
Wow what a legacy!
DAPshit
Salam Tun,
In honour of the great leader of Singapore who passed away recently, I am moved by one lopez guy comment about LKY’s meritocracy without favor. Wow how this kuih lopes guy must feel love towards the late LKY.
The great LKY did such wonders in meritocracy that 95% of the wealth of the nation lies in the hands of one race.
The great LKY’s much vaunted meritocracy ensured that one race remain comparatively the poorest minority and even warned them to be less muslims.
The late great LKY also ensured that these people are effectively divided into HDB flats so that they will forever be weak politically.
This must be the ideal nation building that we Malaysians must emulate in order to achieve success.
I hope these good words pay justice to the great man.

Thats how a human should live as forgive and forget is the one of the way forward for us when we reaching our destination (death or older)]
Again..I would like to offer another perspective that again must offend another opinion the way they offended me..:)
It just have to be human are always at odd with each other opinion..
Lee Kuan Yew in my opinion and the other’s who agree with me have left the definition of METROCRACY the biggest question mark.
Thus he the man cannot escape ‘persecution’ and just cannot be simply forgiven nor forgotten.
Let’s agree to disagree.
Lee Kuan Yew among other have been responsible for being irresponsible in ‘dismantling’ the malay legacy in Singapore.
The man make sure to erodes the malay legacy there.
He made sure that the younger generation of Singapore ( read:non malays ) will strongly denounce any idea that Singapore ( Temasek ) was founded by the Malay.
Some even believed that Lee Kuan Yew founded Singapore!
He made sure the malay isolated and would not have much ‘clout’ in any ballot.
‘The rule and divide’ is most prominent in Singapore for the Malays in the disguise as ‘MERITOCRACY’.
The malay land were ‘relinquished’ by all manner possible.
The man must be given the credit as a good lawyer!
Or the best?
Second only to the American in dealing with the RED INDIAN??
You tell me Mr balance..
All said and done Islam suffer’s most in Singapore..
But..
Religion is only a matter of belief.
Decided by might.
The malays in Singapore have been defeated by the might of Lee Kuan Yew.
Should the man be forgiven because he just took the advantage avail to him?
Again..You tell me..
The real living GIANT is the owner of this blog.

From the out-pouring of tributes and adulations of the many Bloggers on the passing of the Ruler (1959-2015), how many of us, naive, friendly and hospitable Malaysians really understand this ‘giant’ or ‘great’ leader who attempted to dominate our beloved Malaysia for a whole lifetime. Norms of behaviour like ‘scrupulously straight leadership’, ‘honesty and integrity’ ‘meritocracy’ and ‘solid education system’ which are expected of any democratic governmnet normally elected the world-over. None of the ardent supporters has brought up anything special like the good Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s ( a Malay ) creation of the 3 million famillies Malay Middle Income Group which up-lifted the 3 million faillies non-Malay Middle Income Group throught the purchases of the latter’s goods and services by the former in the short time span of 22 years without strife or rancour.
And the Ruler (1959-2015) during this period, screwed down the indigenous population 100% in 1959 to 62% in 2010 vide the Singapore Government White Paper on Population. 300,000 of his Middle Class supporters emigrated..
Also, his 2 Child family Policy of the 1970s and 1980s were enforced through the Income Tax, abortions and sterilizations which only Hitler attempted in the 20th century.
Finally, before we rush to express our highest respect and admiration for a foreign Ruler 1959-2015) of unknown quantity if he ruled our beloved Malaysia, we must as civilised good Malaysians put all the actors and actresses in our political theatre into proper perspective. In fact, his success in brainwashing nearly all Malaysians is now exhibited through the many expressions we see today.
We must be proud and respect our own Malaysian leaders whatever their characters. Then, history will judge us as good Malaysians who look up to our own people and not some foreigner who was too clever by far for us.
Here is another of my Singaporean true story.
In the 1990s, as I was driven out of the Changi Airport by a taxi-driver, I asked, ‘ How are you Mr Lim today ?’ ‘ Sir, I am not Lim, I am Tan.’ was his reply. In Singapore, most people are either Lim or Tan. ‘ OK, Mr Tan. I am sorry.’ Mr Tan continued, ‘ I wish I am like you people in the Federal Capital ( his reply in Cantonese ) .’ ‘ Why, Mr Tan. What is so special about us in the Federal Capital ? Are’nt you afraid that some recalcitrants would riot in the streets at anytime. Besides, you have a wife and family. Your wife I am sure she is earning S$ 1,200 or more as a teacher and you also earn S$ 1,200 per month.’ His reply was firm and decisive, ‘ In Singapore, I know I will be a taxi driver for the rest of my life and my wife too as a teacher. At least up in the Federal Capital, I have a chance to make money !’
The fame of the taxi driver Tengku Wong spread far and wide during the good years of our beloved Tun Dr Mahathir
Mohamad ! Who can ever forget those 22 years when the general economy of our beloved Malaysia was at a GDP of 7% which gave us a constant fizz for all and sundry to make money which is the eternal glue for some to gain everlasting happiness. And there were no recalcitrant digits manning our Free Malaysian Style Democracy with its Open Capitalistic Characteristics

The title that Tok Det posted in own blog should be “Kuan Yew and Kit Siang”, and not I.
If Lim Kit Siang is as bold as Lee Kuan Yew, his son as DAP’s SG can never agree to disagree Hudud Hukum just to be in Putrajaya. Indeed, Malaysian economy is politically driven, and with 1st class infrastructure, both ruling and opposition parties still prefer to play with sentiments for the sake of winning.
Dear Tun, people listed their priorities mostly on finding money instead of a healthy life. In my opinion seeking to gain a wealthy lifestyle couldn’t buy any happiness or love with others. This also goes the same matter to me. Money can’t buy love, can’t buy friendship, and also can’t replace our family.
YAB Tun, may i ask about Proton on 2009?
we are doing our case study about Proton n would like to ask a few question from you.
Mr.Lee Kuan Yew’s greatest legacy was his scrupulously straight leadership coupled with honesty & integrity. Not forgetting the Pride of The Singaporean National Identity regardless of race & religion. Meritocracy without favour & a Solid Education System.
This is the very man that moved Singapore into a First world oasis in a Third world region. There is none like him, Legendary he was & shall remain.
Assalamualaikum Tun,
This is one of the reason why you were and still our leader.
A great example to the new generation indeed.
Thanks Tun.

Dear Tun, I considered writing a letter to you but decided that regardless of the medium, and though I’m aware my voice is merely another in the crowd – the purpose of this message is selfish. Selfish because I needed to satiate my restlessness in seeing a leader for change, one with utmost calibre – probably the only one Malaysia has produced thus far is succumbing to literature instead of action. I admit that I’m moved on the recent sentiment of LKY but more importantly, it constantly reminded me that we too in Malaysia possess a leader that could undoubtedly propel us into a stronger nation, with better governance, education and motivation in realizing our real potential. If we could recognize our mistakes and not let our precious breath waste away with time, we could always act and get things right. Deng Xiao Ping did it, LKY did it – you could too, sir. Life does not judge us, we judge ourselves. Never let illusions of age and comforts tame you into believing in the limits of what you could do and what you were born to do.
Sincerely, A Young Malaysian
Dear Tun, this account on Mr Lee Kuan Yew is certainly the one that touches most of our hearts. Albeit all the differences that both of you had in his lifetime, you certainly have shown a tall character reminiscing on all the good things. Despite the irregularities and differences, both of you have one thing in common, ie pouring you heart and soul and all your lifetime in building a nation that you love most. Something that is obviously lacking in our politicians these days. We need more people like LKY and DR Mahathir for the Asian tigers countries to roar again. Thank you so much for this account Tun. It put things in perspective for us, the young ones from the post-colonial era, who may sometimes overlook the value of independence and what it really means to build a nation.
Salam Tun,
I agree with with about Lee Kuan Yew. He is a great leader.

I have been a student of the great or giant Lee Kuan Yew since October 1951 when my brother George married his only sister Monica. Then, I was a teenager preparing for the Cambridge Syndicate Examinations and as I was preparing for this important examination, I did not go down to Singapore with my mother and eldest brother to attend the wedding. A few days later my mother returned and grumbled to my other mothers ( my father was a 19th Century Ching Dynasty polygamous person), ‘ At the wedding reception, H C (my eldest brother) and myself being from the male side as per Chinese custom, were pushed to the back of the queue by the bride’s brother who was brash and loud-mouthed. As per Chinese custom, we should have been at the head of the queue to welcome the guests !’ She was upset. But since George was her favourite son, this treatment by this brash and loud-mothed young man was soon forgotten.
In 1956, I met this brash and loud-mouthed young man at a dinner reception given to him when he was part of the David Marshall Singapore delegation to Whitehall for talks concerning the self-governing Colony of Singapore. He was leaning on the long bar nursing a long and cool beer wearing a tuxedo and I was wearing a crumpled Burton suit. He asked, ‘ Are you George’s brother ?’ I replied, ‘ Yes !’ That was the end of the conversation.
Thereafter, I avoided meeting this brash and loud-mothed young man on 3 occasions eg.
In 1992, the first exhibition of Straits Chinese Gold Jewellery Exhibition at the National Museum sponsored by me which was attended by our Permaisuri Agong of Malaysia and the brash and loud-mouthed young man, the Pyramid Club, the Singaporean MPs and 28,000 people.
In the 1990s I absent myself from two weddings in Singapore which were attended by the brash and loud-mouthed young man.

Bravo for a beautiful comments. Thats how a human should live as forgive and forget is the one of the way forward for us when we reaching our destination (death or older). Having ill feeling and unforgiving or holding-on to pass happening cannot make us better or cleverer or more right person. Only just more pain and suffering. Wishing many can realise that life is just a journey and destination is death. Beating our chest and shouting to show/tell how smart and clever one is/are is pointless. Taking about someone else failure or simply negative is not good way forward too. On the dying bed it will or may be too late.
Positive step forward
When honorable men speak about each other. They receive nothing more valuable than respect n great nations.

A small amendment to my comment on lky. The description of Singaporeans as honed by the Ministry of Information, Singapore is in Wikipedia not Wikileaks as was mentioned.
Malaysia can learn something about Singapore. Singaporeans can’t afford to own a house, neither can they afford to own a car. I hope Malaysian government will carefully watch these two items when they formulate the economic policies.

Dear Tun,
You have written only the good about Lee Kuan Yew. Your memory of him is only about the good gestures he had shown you. That is how an exemplary muslim should be, only good thoughts and well wishes for others. You are a good man, forgiving, sincere and humble at heart, Tun, but a brave man nonetheless.
The stature of a great man is measured by the good thoughts and kindness he has shown towards the others, and his contribution towards the betterment of his fellow countrymen and humanity.

As the Bard, Shakespeare once wrote in the 17th century, Julius Ceasar, ‘ The evil that men do lives after
them, the good is oft interred with their bones.’ I was a disinterested student of Singapore and its personalities until around 2011 when things were coming to a head concerning persoanalities on both sides of the Causeway. I began to look into the Policies of this ‘giant’, ‘great man’ or the Ruler (1959-2015). I found to my astonishment and dismay that most of the important Policies as promoted by him did not fall into the ambit of practicality or were these carefully thought out as to regards their consequences. If at all, the consequences for the citizens were the last to be considered if any.
OK ! Many are now crying out loud that the Ruler (1959-2015) was a ‘ giant ‘, a ‘ great man ‘ etc. But no one answers the question what is it that made him a ‘ giant ‘, a ‘ great man.’ etc. OK ! The best measure of a person’s greatness must be the goodies his citizens recieved from him in his life-time. Then, by what measure do we give ourselves an inkling of how great he is ? All I could discern is that the glittering buildings and the clean streets are the norm in any well-run developed country. It should be so for an elected overnment worth its salt. And the pundits have it that this material wealth was all due to the planning by Dr Alfred Winsemius and his aide Dr Goh Keng Swee. And as for the human resource deveopment which was left to the Ruler (1959-2015), he screwed down the indigenous population which was 100% in 1959 to 62% in 2010 according to the Singapore Government White Paper on Population 2011. And during his reign, 300,000 from the middle class which were his supporters emigrated.
A deeper study into the ways of the Ruler’s (1959-2015) fables and foibles showed his intense interest in promoting himself internationally at the expense of his populace which were legally oppressed through his fine understanding of the laws, their practice and application. In other words, whilst most graduated would have thrown away what they achieved in the universities, the Ruler (1959-2015) kept his 1947 Double First Law degree achievement until the very end. To this end, a student of his life will find no compassion, nothwithstanding the citizens. It is alleged he said, ‘ In times of crisis, we should grow barnacles in our hearts’ or ‘ If trouble comes, we will not open our gates this time.’ This is a lot of bravado from a Ruler (1959-2015) who should know better in he is humane and compassionate. But unfortunately, his record in life was one blank void concerning the Ruler (1959-2015) and his politics and his constituents. This was the result of dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s one too many. Through his legacy, Singapore is fond of catching out the naive, hospitable and friendly Malaysians like in the 1962 Water Agreement, Pulau Batu Putih, and now the Singapore inspired TPPA which Agreement runs into many many volumes. An Internaitional Arbitration Tribunal was set-up in Singapore in 2005 in anticipation for the luscious cases to come. Every angle in the laws concerning the rule of law by the Singapore Government is covered thoroughly as precisely as a Swiss made watch.
As of the latest count, the Ruler’s (1959-2015) failed Policies have now reached 35. The latest being :-
34. The extirpation of the Nantah and the Vernacular School System by the early 1970s. The Ruler (1959-2015) showed some remorse at this wanton act many years later when he had to deal with the Chinese directly.
35. In the Wikileaks, the zealous handiwork of the Ministry of Information, Singapore cannot be missed in the wel-written description of selected and recognised leaders of Singapore. Tan Kah Kee was once in the dog-house of the Ruler (1959-2015). Even the hard-core Hainanese Soong sisters of China were converted into Hakkas, apparently the Ruler (1959-2015) claimed to be a Hakka from parents who spoke only English and Straits pidgin Malay.
Great Men come and go ! But the Rakyat will forever remain !
MALAYSIA BOLEH ! MALAYS BOLEH ! MALAYSIANS BOLEH !
Yes, I think he did defeat the communists in Singapore, but what is it about him that the Tunku felt uneasy about and that we could not have managed without expelling him out of the Federation?
He seems to have been successful somewhat with some combination of private markets and public housing, transport and education, albeit on a smaller, less complex scale.
His good governance seems to have overboard with rewarding himself for ‘statesmanship’ on the grounds his public office denied him private profit.
Ours with a purer divide between public and private purse and greater degrees for freedom for action seems to have backfired with complete abuse of the public-personal divide when we become successful.
Is ours a more robust system than his? It’s not fair to compare because of the scale and complexity of Malaysia vs a city state component, but the question remains.
Lee Kuan Yew amat peka denga urusan Tanah
Berfikir Tanah penyelesai masalah mereka
Mendiang LKY begitu bijak tidak seperti Yahudi
Yahudi merompak, LKY Singapura menjelajah Tanah Malaysia
Satu Lawyer yg satu Doctor
Lee hanya ikut Rule of Law
Tun ikut Rule of Law juga berlandaskan Agama Islam
Satu Nak Beli Bulan & Bintang
Satu Nak menyelamatkan, mempertahan Negara
Satu didamping pengikut yg Berdisplin,Berpelajaran satu lagi pengikut Musang Berjangut
Contohnya is Hudud
Namun keperluan Pemimpin yg Tulin Pemimpin yg Sejati amat penting
Keperluan memahami bahasa English amat membantu pembangunan Negara
BOMOH BOMOH TERKINI AKAN DIBERI NOTIS TUTUP PERNIAGAAN MEREKA JIKA DISABIT KESALAHAN dalam Akat Section 007(A) DIHANTAR ISIS
UNTUK MENGUJI KEHANDALAN MEREKA DENGAN KEBANTINAN KEKEBALAN
LEHER MEREKA
RAKYAT PERLU BERILMU ,PERLU BERPERLAJARAN
BAGI MEMUDAHKAN KERAJAAN MEMBENDUNGNYA
RAKYAT SINGAPURA TIDAK AKAN TERBELI & MEMBUANG MASA PEMBANGKANG SEPERTI
ANUAR IBRAHIM .MEREKA LEBIH POSITIVE SEBAB MEREKA LEBIH BERILMU
1. YABhg. Tun, as my father has said time and again, you never fail at getting your message across without beating around the bush. Blunt, straightforward, sharp and simple. As Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong once said in Parliament “Lets call a spade, a spade”
2. Out of curiosity, I have been watching online videos of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew’s speeches and interviews on YouTube. I must have spent hundreds of hours over the past year playing those videos and listening to them in the background while multitasking while getting new insights just as I do when I watch your videos on YouTube.Though there have been many different views of the late ASEAN leader, many would agree that the Singapore today is living proof of what he had devoted his entire lifetime to; not just the modern physical infrastructure but also the large number of highly skilled and educated citizens.
3. To some extent, I do see where we as Malaysians could have done better compared to our neighbour. Of course I do believe that due to our social landscape and history, there are areas in which Malaysia should differ for good reasons. Some areas which we could learn from Singapore in my personal opinion would be their education system and how politicians articulate ideas and intelligently debate on key issues in parliament.
4. To compare the achievements between both nations today as far as the results of your leadership vs Mr. LKY, well .. I believe is non comparable. To begin with, there is a huge difference for being in office as PM for 31 years and then staying on in parliament for 21 years (total 51 years) vs being in parliament for 35 years and as PM for 22 years (total 35 years). And somehow, to lead a population of 5.399 million vs 29.72 million needs different approaches all together.
5. I believe that each leader has their personal style, expertise and passion. I am sure many would agree that both Mr. Lee and you had a long term vision of making a difference towards charting the future for a better Singapore/Malaysia that would benefit its people for generations to come.
YABhg Tun, come to think about it, LKY and you mirrored each other. But LKY were admired more by the west, whereas Tun are more appreciated by the eastern side of the world. I recall after you retired, a stranger which i met during winter on the street in a foreign soil, expressed concerns that “hopefully your country would still the same, a country which us, Third World nations used to really proud of”. Now i come to realise the truth of that concerns!
Thank you, dear Dr M., Sir, for your kind and sincere comments regarding my founding father. I have always respected you for your devotion to your wife and family, and country. It is such a great joy to see leaders cherish their marriage vows and family ties . I wish you good health and happiness. Take care and God bless!
Whichever side you are on, in the end we are all mortal. Be humane.
Salam Yg Bhg Tun,
Some younger generations seem still have some blurs on what actually had happened during the periods 1963 to 1965 when at last Singapore separated from Malaysia. Among the seem accurate books which told what actually happened those days were the Malay Dilemma and the Unsung Heroes by YB Zainuddin Maidin. In the Malay Dilemma chapter 11: Malaysia and Singapore, Tun just briefly concluded who actually depended on who ie Malaysia depended to Singapore or the vice versa.
What really happened during those periods were well narrated in the Unsung Heroes. It all started when a close associates of LKY, Alex Josey, an English journalist in Singapore, published an article in the Australian Bulletin 19th Oct 1963 praising LKY as being the a descendant of an ancient Chinese civilisation while condemning the Malays as being descendants of pirates. He added that the Malays were incapable. had no literature and no history other that being the descendants of pirates. All those later lead to the cross swords in the Parliment etc. The book also mentioned that ” although Singapore’s entry into Malaysia was shortlived, but it created a long crisis. In fact, until today, it has left its legacy in the country – the DAP.”
Salam Tun
Written with sensitivity, honesty and respect for that great leader, even if the two of you are so different in so many ways. No doubt, the world is a complicated place, and while Singapore’s chosen path was an entirely different one to the one you helped chart for Malaysia, I am entirely in that “caravan” of people who prefer a slower speed, that takes care of the less fortunate as well as those who simply, often consciously, it is so much more beautiful and simpler to be in the slower lane.
Thank you Tun, I believe alot is waiting for your comment on the passing of LKY. The instant gratification generation couldn’t value the peace and independence by the forefathers of the nations. As a singaporean in my 40’s I myself missed the political era of the 60’s/70’s.You too have done a great deal for us which you would not want to mention. Thank you for stabilizing the odds im proud you have fought for us.Assallamulaikum.
2020 will be a year to remember.
Lee is a Great Man I could not deny though my late Great Dad hates him
You too Tun Mahathir is a Great Man , A True Leader A True Warrior
Yr difference with him is Common Sense Both wants the best of each Deals
But I disagree of these political sayings as much used by Singapore Politicians
The Word Win Win situations
To me if One Win the other will Lose
If one Win Win the other will Lose Lose
One will be no 1 the other will be no 2
Malaysia was always on the lose lose deals with Singapore
It reflects a Weak Govt . We have to admit it
My Condolence to Singapore
Lee put his life & souls to Singapore
I like his Vocabulary his Courage and has
Make Singapore Biggest & Tallest than Malaysia , Indonesia ,Thailand and most Asian
From Nothing to Something
From Scraps to Gold
This is what Malaysia lacks now
Not just a True Leader like Mahathir but also a True Strong Govt
UMNO needs A True Leader , A True Professional Govt Body
Not as what was seen before & after Tun Mahathir
Almost the MakChik and PakChik Politician
Noted this , We should be contented among Asian Larger Nation in size than Singapore
We are better off than our Big Neighbors
We are Corrupted but less corrupted
We have Crimes but less Crimes
Malaysian did not die of Hunger
They die Like A pigeon death on Padi Field
Mostly Diabetics, Heart problems over dosage of Food
Nevertheless Malaysia needs A Good Capable Leader Like Tun Mahathir Mohammed
To Strengthen a Weak UMNO now
Qaradawi among other ulemas, fatwaed that wishing on unbelievers on their religious days is haram,so too expressing on deaths as they died in kuffr. So the neutral word ‘ sadden’ can mean their souls will b in eternal damnation.
So your absence in spore is a strong alibi. So too was Kit Siang during may 13. Y the umno leaders n media keep telling lies? B consistent. It was that so called Singa Umno Arab n Indian Muslims that did so n LKY put them in their places right n proper. U not naming him certified wat LKY said in his book.
It’s fact that spore was a bastion against communism.
It’s a lie that spore is bastion for Zionism as many are led to believe in political speeches n sermons thus making spore a legitimate target. Now undo that n that could b one of your legacies.
Should u go down there to show your sadness n by coincidence stand next to Israeli president Rivlin do tell the press not to print or do u not mind?
Tun, you are another great man. Malaysia needs you … please help us!
Salam Tun,
Takziah juga to LKY families & friends…
I also hope Tun will take care…
Thank you Tun,
Emma
Assalamualaikum, Tun.
Janganlah bergaduh-gaduh atas soal agama lagi!
Thank you very much for this Dr Mahathir, as a Singaporean in my 40s, I am grateful for this letter from you. To be honest we were hoping you would say something to allow us an insight into your relationship with him from your point of view. Thank you once again.
YABhg Tun, ASEAN still have you, a true leader, who i truly admire! Ameen.
