1. Tommy Thomas dalam bukunya “My Story – Justice in the Wilderness” berpendapat bahawa peletakan jawatan Perdana Menteri sebagai surrender of power, penyerahan balik kuasa yang sukar difaham.
2. Saya pula tidak faham kenapa peletakan jawatan itu sukar difaham. Parti Pribumi Bersatu yang saya menjadi Pengerusi telah tolak nasihat saya supaya tidak tergesa-gesa keluar dari Pakatan Harapan (PH). Ini bermakna parti saya tidak lagi mempunyai kepercayaan (confidence) kepada saya. Mereka menyokong Muhyiddin dan memutus untuk keluar dari Pakatan Harapan dengan serta merta.
3. Apabila saya tidak lagi memiliki kepercayaan dari parti saya, saya tidak lagi dapat menjadi Pengerusi parti. Saya buat keputusan untuk letak jawatan sebagai Pengerusi Bersatu.
4. Saya dilantik jadi Perdana Menteri (PM) kerana saya Pengerusi Bersatu. Apabila saya tidak lagi jadi Pengerusi Bersatu, saya tidak lagi layak jadi Perdana Menteri. Maka saya pun terpaksa letak jawatan sebagai Perdana Menteri.
5. Walaupun saya minta supaya Bersatu tangguh keputusan keluar dari PH, tetapi pada malam 23 Februari 2020 (Ahad) Bersatu telah ada majlis makan malam bersama PAS dan UMNO, iaitu gabungan parti-parti yang dirancang oleh Muhyiddin untuk menjadi Kerajaan apabila PH jatuh.
6. Saya jatuh bersama dengan kejatuhan PH. Tidak munasabah saya terus jadi Perdana Menteri apabila PH tidak lagi jadi Kerajaan.
7. Kit Siang berpendapat Kerajaan PH jatuh kerana saya letak jawatan. Jika PH masih ada majoriti, ia tidak akan jatuh. PH boleh pilih ahli Dewan Rakyat lain untuk jadi Perdana Menteri.
8. Anwar Ibrahim memang berminat untuk jadi Perdana Menteri. Tetapi kerana PH hilang majoriti di waktu saya letak jawatan, Anwar tidak dapat ganti saya.
9. Kemudian semua 222 wakil rakyat diberi peluang oleh Yang di-Pertuan Agong untuk cadang calon mereka untuk jadi Perdana Menteri.
10. PH yang sepatutnya cadang saya, telah cadang Anwar konon kerana ia mendapat cukup bilang disebabkan sokongan dari Sabah dan Sarawak.
11. Tetapi Anwar hanya dapat 92 pencalonan dari PH sahaja. Sabah dan Sarawak tolak Anwar.
12. Saya dapat 62 pencalonan kerana PH tolak saya.
13. Jika PH calon saya seperti yang saya berhak dapat, saya akan dapat 154 undi. Saya sanggup kembali sebagai Perdana Menteri walaupun Bersatu tolak saya.
14. Setelah pencalonan depan Yang di-Pertuan Agong gagal menentukan PM baru, pemimpin PH termasuk Anwar datang jumpa saya dengan cadangan memilih saya sebagai PM. Saya letak syarat nama Anwar sebagai Timbalan Perdana Menteri tidak disebut. Pada hari esok syarat saya dipersetujui.
15. PH berjaya mendapat 114 wakil rakyat yang menyertai kumpulan baru ini. Tetapi sebelum dapat dikemukakan kepada Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Muhyiddin sudah dipilih oleh Agong.
16. Yang jelas ialah tidak mungkin Muhyiddin mempunyai majoriti kerana 114 dari wakil rakyat tidak bersama dengan beliau. Tetapi apabila dilantik sebagai Perdana Menteri beberapa penyokong kumpulan PH ditawar jadi Menteri, oleh Muhyiddin. Maka ia pun memperoleh majoriti.
17. Kit Siang tentu tidak akan mengaku kejatuhan PH bukan kerana saya letak jawatan. Yang benar-benar menjatuh PH ialah pemilihan Anwar untuk jadi Perdana Menteri semasa membuat pengakuan kepada Agong. Jika PH menamakan saya, segala-gala yang berlaku sekarang tidak akan berlaku.

Dengar kata dia ‘potong perut / usus’ supaya usus lebih pendek (perut lebih kecil) dan mudah kenyang. Ini satu cara untuk menguruskan badan. Kepada YB Rina Harun, jika tidak benar berita tentang isu ‘potong usus’, eloklah buat sidang media untuk menafikannya (tapi ada gambar lama beliau berjumpa doktor).
Lagi satu, saya lihat perbandingan gambar lama dan baru beliau yang bertebaran di socmed…memang jauh berbeza. Tentang pemotongan usus, kalau tanya saya, akan ada kesan buruk jangka panjangnya. Saya tidak akan melakukannya (tapi saya memang kurus). Lebih baik kurus dengan cara menjaga pemakanan (makan makanan sihat dan tidak berlebihan) dan bersenam. Allah SWT sudah jadikan usus yang cukup sempurna untuk penghadaman makanan yang sempurna. Tetapi Kerajaan Darurat lembab sangat – 1 Aug 2020 baru kuatkuasakan pemakaian pelitup muka…Alahai…sudah terlambat. Saya pernah tulis di sini, “better safe than sorry…” semasa cadangkan supaya pemakaian pelitup muka diwajibkan sejak awal tahun 2020 lagi.
Tentang sumbangan kepada agama, bangsa, dan negara elok tanya diri sendiri. Jangan sibuk mengata orang. Tun M yang sudah menyumbang banyak pun mahu dikutuk, dihina, dan difitnah! Ini kurang ajar namanya.
Untuk yang terkesan dari segi kewangan dek kerana pandemik COVID-19, berusahalah. Berhentilah mengeluh dan meminta simpati. Rezeki Allah itu amat luas. Pokok pangkalnya, mesti berusaha kuat tanpa berputus asa. Kepada yang sudah biasa hidup mewah, dan sekarang berada dalam kesusahan, belajarlah menyesuaikan diri. In 1992, I took a cab from the Kyoto Railway Station, Japan. As soon as I had entered, the driver asked me where I came from. I answered “Malaysia”. Covid-19: Pengajaran bagi kerajaan dan rakyat Malaysia
Di sekolah, kita diajar dan diberi pengajaran dan ilmu, kemudian dipaksa melalui peperiksaan untuk menguji kefahaman kita ke atas ilmu dan pengajaran yang diberi.
Dalam kehidupan, kita diuji dahulu.
Dan melalui ujian terdapat pengajaran dan ilmu yang perlu dipelajari.
Jika kita tidak dapat menyelami pengajaran dan ilmu tersebut, maka kita akan terus diuji dan diuji sehingga kita menyedari apa yang harus dipelajari.
Pandemik Covid-19 adalah satu ujian kehidupan.
Tiada pengajaran dan ilmu yang pernah diberikan kepada mana-mana manusia mahupun kerajaan untuk menghadapi ujian ini.
Di dalam wabak Covid-19, manusia diuji pelbagai sudut yang menuntut pengorbanan, mencabar disiplin hidup, budaya dan tradisi masyarakat dan juga kebertanggungjawaban diri terhadap manusia yang lain, keluarga, kerja dan diri sendiri.
Contohnya, apakah ia lebih penting untuk seseorang yang bekerja di bidang jualan yang sering berjumpa pelanggan secara rawak untuk berjumpa dengan ahli keluarga demi makan besar sempena Tahun Baru Cina ini? Ataupun ia lebih penting untuk melindungi keluarga daripada wabak Covid-19 dengan mengelakkan diri daripada menghadiri jamuan makan besar sehingga wabak Covid-19 reda?
Di pihak kerajaan pula, wabak Covid-19 mencabar kebijaksanaan dan kerjasama berpasukan kepimpinan negara, mencengkam kewangan negara, menuntut pengorbanan petugas barisan hadapan serta memerlukan kefahaman mendalam para penggubal prosedur operasi standard terhadap struktur kehidupan semua lapisan masyarakat, perniagaan dan juga ekonomi.
Contohnya, keputusan kerajaan membenarkan aktiviti pasar malam yang berisiko tinggi menyebabkan manusia berkumpul demi kelangsungan rezeki golongan berpendapatan rendah dan sederhana akan dicemuh oleh golongan yang tidak memahami keputusan tersebut.
Membenarkan pasar malam dibuka bukannya bererti kita membawa keluarga suka-suka pergi berkumpul di pasar malam mendedahkan diri dan keluarga kepada Covid-19.
Wabak Covid-19 juga menyebabkan ada yang hilang kesabaran.
Mereka mempunyai hak untuk meluahkan perasaan.
Tapi, di dalam ujian menghadapi wabak Covid-19, kita perlu mengakui bahawa ada soalan peperiksaan yang gagal dijawab dengan baik, biar kita ataupun kerajaan.
Sebagai manusia biasa, kita perlu mengakui kita pernah melakukan sesuatu yang boleh menyebabkan wabak Covid-19 merebak.
Sebagai kerajaan, mereka perlu mengakui ada prosedur operasi standard (SOP) yang tidak difikir dengan rapi sebelum diumumkan.
Tapi, janganlah ada sesiapa yang cuba menjadi seperti pakar yang telah lulus peperiksaan menghadapi wabak Covid-19.
Elakkan menulis seolah-olah kita ada semua maklumat ada di tangan, mahir menentukan apa yang perlu dibuat dan tidak perlu dibuat dan juga memberikan cadangan dengan beranggapan negara mempunyai sumber kewangan yang tidak akan putus.
Sebagai manusia, kita perlu mengimbang keselamatan diri dan keluarga tapi pada masa yang sama memastikan rezeki keluarga tidak terputus.
Sebagai kerajaan, mereka perlu mengimbangi kemampuan sektor kesihatan untuk menangani wabak Covid-19 dan juga kelangsungan ekonomi yang boleh menyebabkan Covid-19 merebak dengan lebih marak.
Perkara ini tidak mudah, malah sangat susah diimbangkan.
Pendek kata, rakyat dan kerajaan berada di dalam situasi yang sama, dan oleh itu sepatutnya kedua-dua pihak boleh saling memahami.
Namun, kerajaan hari ini menghadapi situasi yang lebih sukar kerana ahli-ahli politik negara enggan bekerjasama sebaliknya terus berusaha mencetuskan ketidakstabilan politik di dalam negara.
Bersama kita teguh, bercerai kita roboh.
Itu antara pengajaran dan ilmu terbesar bagi rakyat dan kerajaan Malaysia di dalam ujian wabak Covid-19 ini.
Tapi apakah kita sedia menerima pengajaran dan ilmu ini dengan hati terbuka dengan niat menyelamatkan Malaysia daripada ujian wabak Covid-19 ini?

What I do not understand is the fact that your achievements for our beloved Malaysia are easily forgotten and you have always been criticised for not crossing the ‘Ts’ or dotting the ‘Is’.
And Lee Kuan Yew’s huge Policy mistakes were never highlighted even though his mistakes have cost lives or injuries from his ascendancy as Prime Minister in 1959 to his demise in 2015. But memories of his strenuous efforts at brainwashing are fading fast even in our beloved Malaysia.
The Chinese had been held mentally captive by him since his advent into Power in 1959. He deftly handled the Democrat US Presidents by all available means and packed the very top American academic institutions or media with his American lobbyists and a sprinkling of female Singaporeans. Time has now passed by his efforts years ago. Always, the Singapore PM used to appear at the side of a newly elected Democrat US President in haste. But now no longer.
Every one is aware of the great achievements of Lee Kuan Yew for Singapore.
But how many know that from 1962-1984, a Dutch UN economist was the Adviser to the Singapore Government. He advised all the infrastructural developments of Singapore from 1962-1984 which laid the basis of present day Singapore, a glittering World city morphed from a laid-back colonial seedy port glamorised by Dorothy Lamour and Bob Hope in the Hollywood film, “Road to Singapore” !
That was Lee Kuan Yew’s achievement concomitant with the better life-style of living for the citizens made affordable by the Uncle Sam’s blessed trades during the Cold War between 1948 – 1989 which as was alleged, Singapore garnered at least US$ 300 Billion for her coffers. It may be said that Lee Kuan Yew was born under the lucky America Stars!
This was where his limited mind-set failed him. If Lee Kuan Yew had invested the US$ 300 Billion into GOLD at US$ 300 per ounce between 1970s – 2000 or 4,000 tons, Singapore would really have been cat’s whiskers to the World Super Powers and our beloved Malaysia would be just a pussy cat in Lee Kuan Yew’s back pocket.
Man proposes. God disposes. With not a single ounce of GOLD, today Singapore is fast diminishing as a paragon of genius which was self-acclaimed. In other words, how to climb down from the slippery pole of its First World status with aplomb ?

1. The most glaring bad Policy was his attitude of doing down his nemesis Malaysia all the time. He would probably obtained much more with a different attitude. As it may be seen now, despite the fact that between 1962 – 2018, Singapore got all the precious Sovereign Malaysian assets without due consideration for National Interest from Malaysia’s naive and gullible Leaderships, 2004-2018 (inclusive of the CPTPP), FREE, Singapore lost S$ 93 Billion to keep her economy afloat in 2020. This money will not be easy to recover under the present circumstances. It hurts.
2. His damning Policy of 2 Child per family 1972-1984 which was the cause of only 900,000 male Chinese aged 21 – 50 today.
3. The Thaksin Purchase of 2006 which split Free Thailand into two and caused many deaths and injuries to the innocents and gave rise to 2 coup de’tats unnecessarily. His intention was to discourage Thaksin from constructing the Isthmus of the Kra Canal which was illogical and did not benefit Singapore citizenry if not constructed.
And 44 other Policies which did not jive with his self-acclaimed superb credentials but no exceptional mind-set.
On the other hand, our beloved Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who had a splendid record of achievements for our beloved Malaysia and who has always been humble and not boastful, should always be lauded by the Malaysians of all communities.
SEE THE VERY RICH NOBLES, THE MASS OF 6 MILLION MALAY URBAN MIDDLE CLASS AND THE NON-MALAY MIDDLE CLASS AND THE JOBS CREATED AND INFRASTRUCTURAL ACHIEVEMENTS BY HIM WITHOUT AN ADVISER BETWEEN 1981-2003 !
Even in 2021, he has the Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad Strategic Legacy Plan or TDMSLP to create RM 250 Billion – RM 500 Billion for our impoverished beloved Malaysia, transparently and equally. This shows the Power of his mind-set which is born and not made by MONEY !
The list is inexhaustible, thus
1. The urban Malay Middle Class which did not exist before 1981.
2. The essential infrastructural developments, the N-S Highway, KLIA, Putrajaya, Petronas Towers, Langkawi, Tioman, private education for higher learning and private hospital facilities, the FTZ, etc.
3. A stable Government with good Socio-economic Policies which brought no harm to the Rakyat in conformation with our revered Constitution as safeguarded by our Yang Di Pertuan Agong and the Royal Sultans.
4. If the closest aides whom he appointed were not all crooks, to the GLCs, our beloved Malaysia would not only have proper elites but also would be a different country today.
And our beloved Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been called a dictator by people who were probably caught up short by him and his black note book which all doctors carry to follow up. A subordinate once told me that in his profession they never follow up !
To compare Lee Kuan Yew with our beloved Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is like comparing chalk with cheese.

My neighbour kata dia suka Fish Pie, dekat SACC MALL, tapi tak ingat nama kedai. So I jawab TEAPOT. Terkejut dia I kenal cafe ini. Kedai isteri Tan Sri Arshad Ayub. Tanya budak MARA UITM mereka familiar dengan kedai ini. Budak baru mungkin tak kenal tapi budak lama pasti kenal.
Actually sejak zaman MCO, I dah lama tak naik tingkat atas SACC MALL. Selalu pergi basement kedai makanan haiwan or kadang2 singgah supermarket yang seperti hidup segan matipun tak mahu. Or at times I singgah Guardian Pharmacy yang sunyi sepi dan terus balik.
Dek kerana jiran sebut Fish Pie, I pun agah naik, dimana satu escalator tak jalan. Tidak convenient untuk warga emas.
Jelas cafe ini sunyi dan banyak makanan dah tiada seperti Fish Pie. Menu mereka dah agak sedikit dan simple. I ingat sangat cafe ini sebagai old school style. Kalau nak makan pie atau cake memang style old school. The sort of food taste I makan zaman sekolah. Kata manager sini sebab tiada datang makan situ, they relied on online orders dan takeaways, maka less yang mereka masak.
I balik fikir, kenapa tidak kedai ini buat ad online nak belanja emak, nenek makan, sila order. I kata gitu sebab walau I internet savvy I tidak order online. Orang muda pandai la.
Ya bangunan sini dah banyak kedai tutup. I ingat De Palma Cafe. Sebelum kami pindah tinggal diShah Alam, I selalu juga datang sini makan. Semalam I tengok cafe ini dah bungkus.
I terus seberang ke PKNS Complex. Singgah kedai satay Samuri. Cepat dapat order sebab tak ramai orang. I tertanya2 dalam hati, bagaimana agaknya kerajaan Selangor tangani masaalah ini.
I tidak kaya, I try my best bagi support pada business milik orang Melayu.

Here is a worthy vision for all the people in Malaysia to work towards.
1) For each race no matter of what size and whether original or immigrant, to erase their ill-feelings towards one another and stop calling one has more right to live in the country while others don’t and therefore must leave and go home somewhere if they say something touchy about others.
2) For Number (1) to happen, realistically all political parties and their sponsors must stop using their racial origin in their political party names. I can think of half a dozen parties having to change their names as a result. If they don’t, which is more likely to happen, then all honest talk about not wanting others to stay or leave and their wishes for each other, are just hot air basically.
3) For every race and especially their politicians to be really honest of what they have actually achieved for themselves since the British left you to fend for yourselves and still trying your best to get it right. Don’t worry, you lot will get it right eventually. By hooks or by crooks. The key is to BE HONEST with yourselves and stop playing tricks with yourselves.
4) All sectors of society must be open without direct or indirect discrimination to any one. That means the government must be open to all to participate and the business sectors must be open to all, big and small. Again, BE HONEST with yourselves that you will participate with honesty and gusto, whatever your field. WITHOUT any unfair assistance from the government. And here is the important bit… all unfair practices in the commercial sector will be rid of to level the playing field, such as money lending based on specific race or clans. That goes for employment across races too. There will be legislations to prevent these practices in future and they will be strictly enforced with Heavy Fines that get really heavy for repeat offenders.
There. That’s a vision for you lot to work hard towards.

I am here because your distinguished Blog is the only one in the whole wide-World which permits me to write freely with facts. But there are scoundrels like anywhere in the World who wanted to bully me to submit to their unscrupulous agendas which I always resist fiercely especially these recalcitrants hide cowardly behind fake names or alphabets.

The basics taught us that before puberty, all children have no negative feelings towards one another. As the child progressed in Life, it was the parents who first remarked about another community. As time went on, the negativities grew with parental comments, rivalries at school, etc. By the adult age, a person who was influenced by such circumstances had already stereotyped the other communities.
When some one complained to me about others, I always assured them that we all are different from one another in all aspects of Life. We must compare chalk with chalk, cheese with cheese, Singapore with Singapore and not Malaysia !
How many in this distinguished Blog are aware that our Life is the most precious commodity of all and its free ?
We all have 101+ years to exist and contribute to our families and Nation. But I have noticed that most human beings when they reached 30 years of age, they think they will live forever. They did not realise that it was not 30 years old by which they were already on the decline but 21 years old was their peak. Most inventions and discoveries were by those in their early Twenties. From Einstein to Bill Gates !
Without realising how precious Life is, those who ventured into Malaysian Politics with limited knowledge and education about the World and her inhabitants misused their political Power to the nth degree. But as always, their targets are the apparently meek, humble and mild.
Hence, we hear of certain Malaysians asking other Malaysians to go ‘home’. This is like breaking their own rice-bowl. Such incidents always arose from weak political Leaderships because traditionally, Malaysians have always been feudal-minded and looked-up to a single Leader who was expected to be wise and fair. For this reason, I always called for UMNO to get their act together and roar like a tiger again.
Tun will understand that Life is precious. The 1st year in the clinical medical course will set the mind-set for Life ! Anyone who fails the grade, becomes a dentist !
With the appreciation of Life, I beseech all to look around the environment we are in, our wonderful Malaysia with all her wonderful people, natural resources and the once profound Life-style which we all took for granted until the Central European Yiddish song “CASH IS KING” and foreign predators like the Singapore Singa and the Indo eagle, and fat beardless fat boys of no merit arrived on the Malaysian scene. Our beloved Malaysia’s assets were sucked dry ! Ouch ! Even the outraged Sabine women of ancient Rome were reported to have enjoyed the acts eventually. But honestly, we Malaysians don’t after this financial rape of Malaysia 2004-2018. We are now impoverished – the rich and the poor.
What to do ?
No problem whatsoever because we still have many experienced honest personalities, good peoples and natural resources in place which have now learnt to be beware of “Greeks (Singaporeans) bearing gifts” !
We begin all over again and make MORE MONEY than ever before. This is a cinch with the right Leadership from UMNO which should invite all to return to its bosom because WITHOUT THE UNITY OF THE MALAYS, MALAYSIA’S REVERED CONSTITUTION DOES NOT WORK ! This is the reality of our beloved Malaysia today and every day.
But history is the finest arbiter of the Truth. All Malaysians have contributed to the success and well-being of our beloved Malaysia. We are all linked tightly together whether we like it or not. We have become inseparable in more ways than one.
SO WHEN ONE COMMUNITY ASKS ANOTHER COMMUNITY TO GO HOME, HOW DO I FEEL AFTER CONTRIBUTING MUCH LIKE ALL THE OTHERS WHO EVEN SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES IN THE COUNTER COMMUNIST INSURGENCY ?
Without hesitation and I am already 101 years old, I contributed the following thus :-
1. Donated my father’s mansion with 13 acres to be the 1st Istana Negara in 1957.
2. Conceptualised my 1972 Proposal to capture Sime Darby to fast trek the Malays into big business without interfering or impinging on the existing or future Chinese businesses which was supported by the Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak and his confidant YBM Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah. The rest is history. But a MCA Leader called me ‘A MALAY BUM SUCKER’ which he used as an excuse to cheat his own Chinese. By 1985, he could remit S$ 100 Million from Singapore HSBC to his girl friend’s account HSBC Hong Kong via my friend !
3. In 1975, the National Savings Bank was proposed which was implemented by the good Dato Haji Rastam Hadi.
4. Between 1972-1981, the Ringgit was RM 1.00 to S$ 1.03. Bank Negara Malaysia had gold in its vaults in preparation of the future Government’s Policies from 1982 to come which would be export driven.
5. In 1973, at a moment’s notice I lent RM 1 Million to 4 Malays including UMNO Youth for them to obtain a licence from Bank Negara Malaysia. One of them does not know me or UMNO any more but only consorts with Kuwaiti princesses in London !
6. In 1984, I was given a task, the very first. I found it could not be done and did not cross the red line whilst others all did, including the Korean-Taiwanese closest aide to create all those big and ugly scandals which they blamed our beloved Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who was only interested in painting the ‘Mona Lisa’ the right way with his broad strokes and not up-side down by crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s !
7. From 1975-1984, the MIDF with HSBC, Standard Chartered, Bangkok, UMBC appointed me to save the biggest corporate bankruptcy in the early 1970s. They expected me to run away after 2 weeks. The sum owing was RM 32 Million (Cost of BMW RM 50,000). Not a single sen was given to save it. I was paid RM 7,000 per month with an Alfa Romeo but no allowance of any kind. Even though I was not a shareholder, I made millions and millions of ringgits. The 1,200 Malay workers working 3 daily shifts were happy and contented in the BN Constituency of Taiping. After collecting the RM 32 Million in full, the MIDF and Consortium walked away as though they did not know me.
But the fat beardless boy of no merit had RM 50 Billion cash and made NOT ONE SEN AND LOST ALL WHICH NEARLY COST THE LIFE OF OUR BELOVED MALAYSIA AND HER RAKYAT. Stupid.
8. I lent 9 Million Renong Berhad shares to UMNO Baru in 1990 to redeem the assets of the old UMNO from the Official Assignee without security.
9. I donated to the UMNO and MCA buildings and the Kelantan UMNO building because Dato Haji Yacob the MB was my friend.
10. The finest unique gold and silver 18th-19th Century Malay Sultanates coins and Straits Settlements and Malay coin collections with unique gold coins were donated to Bank Negara Malaysia and Maybank respectively. A World’s best collection of Malaysiana of 2,000 books was donated to a university.
Thousands of non-Malays also contributed with money or their lives to build a successful Malaysia together with all the others.
In 1889, my father came to Malaya at 16 and worked as a dish-washer in Towkay Loke Yew’s kitchen. By 1913, he together with Towkay Loke Yew and others established the Kwong Yik Bank which is now the RHB Bank. In 1921, for pacifying an unruly tin miners strike, he was the first Chinese to be awarded the Justice of Peace (JP) by the DYMM Sultan Selangor. He was invited to be the co-founder of the Bank of East Asia, Hong Kong 1919 and Lee Wah Bank, Singapore/Malaya in 1931 because of his integrity and hard-work which had spread far and wide in those slow moving days.
HOW DO I FEEL WHEN I AM AWARE THAT ALL NON-MALAYS CONTRIBUTED AN ASTRONOMICAL AMOUNT IN MONEY AND LIVES TOGETHER WITH THE MALAYS TO MAKE MALAYSIA A SUCCESS ? HOW DO I FEEL BEING SCOLDED FOR NOTHING BY 13 TENGKUS DOWN TO DATUKS BUT NO ENCIKS?
I still remain a normal Malaysian, a Constitutionalist but never a Communalist and also, always well-informed. Without information, a person is blind and cannot not make a fair judgement.
Most importantly I did NOT run off to join the DAP.

Malaya is a place that restricts rather than allows its inhabitants to express their talents. I have seen with my own eyes how a Malay youngster who tried his very best to converse with me in his stuttering English years ago, was literally laughed at with utter derision by his listening friends. I felt sorry for the teenager. This is what you encounter everyday. Then you get the occasional traffic questions who the car belongs to before he gives you a traffic summon for maybe not wearing your seat belt in time. Then you get people in party politics who decide whether the top post should or should not be contested depending on who is the incumbent at that time.
Such things do not happen in a Western country, and can be reported to the press if one encounters it. There are laws against those sort of nonsense.
A Malay was at one time the owner of a popular college in London. May be he would not be doing that had he stayed in Kuala Lumpur. He would probably had been roped in to run as a division head at Putrajaya. Thus limiting his hidden potential.

KUALA LUMPUR: Laporan Ketua Audit Negara mengenai Penyata Kewangan Kerajaan Persekutuan 2018 mendapati sejumlah 59 peratus pinjaman baharu kerajaan dibuat untuk membayar hutang kerajaan terdahulu.
Laporan itu turut mengesahkan bahawa jumlah keseluruhan hutang Kerajaan Persekutuan adalah RM1.021 trilion. Daripada jumlah itu, hutang negara adalah RM741 bilion manakala komitmen kewangan lain berjumlah RM280 bilion.
Pada 2018, kelima-lima syarikat tidak boleh membayar sepenuhnya pinjaman yang sepatutnya dibayar, berikutan itu pihak Kerajaan Persekutuan membayar balik pinjaman yang dijamin dan matang bagi pihak syarikat sebanyak RM2.839 billion.
Daripada jumlah itu, RM1.753 billion sudah dibayar pentadbiran terdahulu manakala sejumlah RM1.086 billion dibayar oleh pentadbiran semasa.
Lima syarikat berkenaan ialah KL International Airport Berhad, CoVco Holding Berhad, Asset Global Network Sdn Bhd, Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd dan Danainfra Nasional Berhad.

One of my favourite English nursery rhymes etched in my mind from kindergarten days is the story of Humpty Dumpty. The rhyme goes like this – Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall; All the king’s horses and all the king’s men, couldn’t put Humpty together again. Its origins are obscure, and several theories have been advanced to suggest the rhyme’s meaning.
The bad fall leading to a chaotic nation
Perhaps we can suggest a new meaning of the rhyme in the context of the country’s political situation. Malaysia had a great fall on May 9, 2018, and all the king’s horses and all the king’s men could not put Malaysia back together again.
We have a constitutional monarchy system where the prime minister and his Cabinet has the duty to put the nation together again; and not the King.
What was expected after the fall – of Umno and Barisan Nasional – was for the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government to set the economy right after the fallout of the world’s biggest kleptocracy case: they would rebuild the nation, introduce reforms, and turn Malaysia into a prosperous and happy nation thereafter.
That was only a dream. Maybe PH tried, but in the end, they succumbed to bitter infighting. The infighting has continued ever since, in the rebranded coalition of Perikatan Nasional and other sub-coalitions at state and federal level.
Most of the players remain the same under different banners, trying to fool the rakyat with the same rhetoric and promises that always come to naught.

At one time, Malaysians questioned whether we needed a constitutional monarch. Now many would agree that without the monarchy we would have anarchy. It is apparent we have become dependent on the monarchy as the “arbitrator” in our political system, as our politicians are incapable of sorting out pettiness among themselves. Can it still be said that the King only has a ceremonial role?
Our politicians seem to like running to “mama” which usually occurs when siblings fight. My mama used to say that you sort out your squabbles among yourselves, and eventually we did that for all our squabbles. The politicians are incapable of doing that and need a “mama” to settle their quarrels.
Monarchy represents democracy
The monarchical system in Malaysia is more democratic than the current political system. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong holds office for five years, and the Malay Rulers take turns among themselves to become the King. This system is respected by all royal families.
For the people, the principle is quite simple: the people pledge loyalty to the King and the King protects his people. The biggest problem now is the political reliance on the King to settle political squabbles, and questions raised of the necessity of a Westminster type electoral system if the prime minister can circumvent the system by relying on the King to calm the unstable political situation.
The King was asked to declare a state of emergency last October, which was promptly rejected by His Majesty. This year, the King finally acceded to Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s request seeing that the politicians did not listen to the King’s advice to stop politicking.
The budget, which was supposed to be about expenditures to run the country and to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, became a test of the vote of no confidence. The hype about the vote was a non-starter and many politicians ended up with red faces.
Imagine if we did not have the King to help keep the calm in Malaysia, we would be like Donald Trump’s America.
Malaysia full of drama queens
There are so many drama queens in Malaysia – one said they had the numbers to form a new government and failed; another said they would quit because they were not given the respect and position they deserve; and yet another said they would leave the coalition because of selective prosecution. Everyone seems to be like a crybaby.
Muhyiddin’s reasons were transparent: he sought an emergency to prevent the collapse of the PN government after being deserted by some of his coalition members and reducing his slender majority to negative.
While there are cries of Muhyiddin being undemocratic and trying to save his own skin, we should not be caught up in the heat of the moment.
By all rationales, he did the right thing and at the right moment. Imagine if the PN government collapsed and a general election had to be called during the pandemic.
In the aftermath of an election, the movement restrictions could then be extended for longer periods of time affecting the economy even further. There should be lessons learnt from the spike in Covid-19 infections after the US and Sabah state elections.
Greed and a thirst for power
In Malaysia, greed and thirst for power has consumed our politicians.
Many could not survive after the fall from the gravy train in 2018 and want to regain the privileges of their former lives. Even after being given some of the privileges to continue their lifestyles as part of their notion of “self-entitlement”, they have continued to rock the boat.
Perhaps their only mission in life is to get back control of the government and to continue milking the nation dry.
The question for us now is whether all the king’s horses and all the king’s men can put Humpty Dumpty together again.

One Tengku scolded me for making a slip of the tongue in honorifics. A Dato scolded me for not giving him his commission when only the MOU was signed ! Until now, I NEVER MENTIONED I DONATED MY FATHER’S MANSION TO THE NATION FOR THE FIRST ISTANA NEGARA AND MUCH MORE. Or did I run off to join the DAP because of these scoldings. I JUST SMILED BECAUSE I KNEW THE BACKGROUNDS OF THESE NOBLES BETTER THAN THEY KNEW THEMSELVES. I stayed the course as a Constitutionalist never a Communalist since 1954 because I want to build a better Malaysia for all Rakyat like our beloved Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and others like him.
2. I always tell the Chinese, young and the old that we the Chinese, Malays, Indians, Ibans, Dayaks, Kadazans and all are entirely different from each other in more ways than one. AND DO NOT EXPECT OTHERS TO BE LIKE US IN MANNERS AND CUSTOMS LIKE WORK ETHICS, STANDARDS ETC.
HERE IN THIS DISTINGUISHED BLOG WE HEAR STRIDENT DESCRIPTIONS OF THE SHORTCOMINGS OF OTHER MALAYSIANS as compared with themselves or other communities or brilliant Singapore ! This is not comparing chalk with chalk but chalk and cheese.
Of course I am aware of all the shortcomings of the CHINESE and others being at the leading edge of our society all the time. Hence, this is what makes Life interesting because our efforts and sacrifices to build a better and more prosperous beloved Malaysia never ends !

Too the most Senior Adviser to the Federal Government on Counter Communist Insurgency once told me that when Communism comes into contact with Capitalism, Communism will get CORRUPTED. Enlightened Globalist: The years of mismanagement and policies have come home to roost. The reasons why we have become the ‘sick man of Asia’ include;
1. Dependency syndrome and lack of meritocracy, due to prolongation of the New Economic Policy (NEP) beyond its shelf life, has had a serious effect on our competitiveness.
2. Brain drain of hundreds of thousands of highly educated and skilled Chinese and Indians due to perceived discrimination and the Malay supremacy ideology. And the brain drain of liberal Malays due to increasing Islamisation. They are a smaller number but still significant. In many instances, capital drain follows brain drain.
3. Emphasis on quantity over quality in the education system, resulting in a mismatch between graduates and jobs. A common complaint of employers – there just isn’t enough skilled labour.
4. Falling proficiency in the English language has allowed our neighbours to catch up. This was an advantage in the first few decades after independence, but we have lost it.
5. Rent-seeking economy where well-connected individuals are given plum monopolies in major industries. This increases the cost of services.
6. Over-bloated civil service is a big drain on the budget. Nearly 50 percent of the budget goes to emoluments and pensions, one of the highest in the world. Much of this expenditure is non-productive. A large chunk of the civil service is probably redundant. For the past decade, developmental expenditure is financed by debt, hence the ever-increasing debt ratio.
7. Lack of discipline and motivation in the local labour force, compared to Vietnam, South Korea, etc. This is due to poor education and dependency syndrome.
8. Over-dependence on foreign labour, resulting in suppression of local wages. We have probably the highest of foreign-to-local labour ratio in the world. Sadly, foreign workers are more eager to learn and are becoming skilled in many disciplines, while Malaysians are flocking to low-wage delivery services and as staff in fast-food outlets.
9. Too much emphasis on religion in schools at the expense of Stem (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Our Pisa scores for science and maths are among the lowest in the region.
10. Hundreds of opaque quasi-government entities at federal and state levels, many of these are heavily in debt. It’s debatable whether these entities are serving any purpose, and it’s politically difficult to shutter these units.
11. Failure to save for a rainy day. We could have started an oil wealth sovereign fund like Norway and UAE to help us through any crisis, like what we are facing now. Instead, billions were wasted on white elephant projects. Now the oil fields are almost dry.
12. Corruption of institutions. We were once the envy of the developing world. Today we hear stories that our institutions are politicised and have lost their independence. The 1MBD fiasco has exposed grave weaknesses within our institutions. We had the dishonour of having produced the greatest financial scandal in global history, largely due to weaknesses in our institutions.
13. Finally, corruption at every level of society has increased the cost of doing business. Like cancer, it has metastasised everywhere. Tens of billions of ringgit are lost, which could have been spent to build hospitals, schools, infrastructure, etc, and also help pare down our debts.
We were on the correct footing in the first few decades after independence (under Tunku Abdul Rahman and Hussein Onn), but the advent of Mahathir, Najib Abdul Razak and others changed everything.
Instead of being the ‘tiger of Asia’, we have become ‘the sick man of Asia’, like Greece – a sort of a repeat of the Greek Tragedy.

It is unfair to compare Malaysian minister’s qualification with that of Singaporean counterparts. The ministers there get million of dollars remuneration and it might be highest pay in the world while Malaysian ministers get peanuts. But Malaysian minsters can take up positions in GLCs, sport associations and etc to make up for the shortcomings. Some of them are smart enough to earn side incomes and make billions.

Meritocracy and nationalism.
Nationalist sentiments will reach all-time high in Sabah and Sarawak, as can be expected. It is just a matter of time. That fate is already sealed, for sure.
As the French astrologer Nostradamus would have it, a nation sows its own seed of destruction when it wasn’t supposed to exist in the first place. Just a matter of time, something that was not read properly by its founders.
Leaders and Meritocracy.
Like wise, would any one care to name one of their nations or their clone in Asia that is not corrupt, that is industrialized, and that is not involved with one kind of armed conflict with another country in the last 10 years. By the same token, name one even the smallest global brand by any of them in the global consumer market, of any kind or product. While still at it, how about a Noble Prize winner in any filed, including as tea ladies and drivers as most are qualified to do at most. Is that the reason why 99% are employed in the civil service, as no one will take any in the private sector for not being conversant in any language other than one that is only spoken in one country.
Hard pressed to find the answer.
It’s the IQ level. That’s what it is. Brain cells.

We all know what Meritocracy is. Best man for every job there is. It makes a country world-class developed country, and not just wishing to be one. Not just a Vision 20**

Malaysia rose from the Royal Sultans and Malays Unity against the British Malayan Union in 1945 right through to 2003.
From the tragic 13 May 1969, our beloved Malaysia rose again with the Unity of the Malays led by our Father of Development Tun Abdul Razak which brought us Political and Socio-economic Progress and Prosperity till 2003 by his successors, Tun Hussein Onn and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

FMT – Tommy Thomas’ claims shocking and ‘fantastic’, says Dr M
PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has broken his silence on former attorney-general Tommy Thomas’ tell-all book, expressing shock and bemusement over some of the claims.
In a lengthy statement, Mahathir said Thomas’ account over his resignation as prime minister was “quite fantastic” as Thomas did not have knowledge of some of the things he wrote about.
For instance, he denied telling Thomas that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong wanted to appoint then deputy prime minister Dr Wan Azizah Ismail as interim prime minister.
“This is nonsense”, said Mahathir.
While he admitted that his resignation was a personal choice, Mahathir said there was no way the Pakatan Harapan Cabinet could have remained as it had lost majority support to remain as government.
“I cannot fathom how a lawyer was unable to comprehend that this was not a change of prime minister. The PH government had lost.
“The Agong could not appoint Wan Azizah, the deputy prime minister as acting prime minister. Like me, she did not have a majority after PH was overthrown by PPBM leaving together with (Mohamed) Azmin’s (Ali) faction of PKR or Justice Party. Neither did the Cabinet.”
Mahathir also admitted that he had expected to win when the Agong met with MPs to hear their views on who should lead the next government, as Perikatan Nasional secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin had obtained statutory declarations from all Umno and PAS members supporting him.
“Hamzah’s plan was to get me to head a new coalition consisting of Umno, PAS and PPBM. I would still be prime minister and that should persuade me to leave PH.”
He added that Pakatan Harapan’s MPs had named opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim as their candidate instead, after the latter claimed that he had the majority support to become prime minister although he only had a total of 92 MPs on his side.
“I managed to get only 62. So both of us lost.”
Commenting on his relationship with Thomas, Mahathir said the two of them had got on “quite well”, adding that he trusted and had defended him when the Malays condemned him.
“PAS never directly asked me to drop him. But I had taken so much bashing because of him that I felt he should not continue after ending his term.
“But when I resigned as prime minister he came to see me to inform me that since I appointed him and since I was no longer prime minister, he should also resign.”
Mahathir also said he did not believe in overstaying his welcome, adding that he had resigned in 2003 as he felt he had been the prime minister for too long, despite being labelled by many as a dictator.
Meanwhile, his reason for resigning as PPBM chairman and prime minister, he said, was simply because his party had lost confidence in him and PH had lost its majority.
While he was still interim prime minister, Mahathir said he had proposed for a unity government as he felt that all political parties should work together for the sake of the nation, similar to the idea second prime minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein had when he formed Barisan Nasional.
“I thought that something similar was needed. But I failed because (Lim) Kit Siang said I was trying to become a dictator. He supported Anwar as the PH candidate.
“Had the 92 votes gone to me I would have had 154 votes. You can imagine what direction the nation would take when all parties put the nation first.”

TUN – THE PEOPLE HAD ENOUGH
Mahathir has many skills. One of them is never to take accountability for his actions and always blame others. He knows he has significant influence but has not used it wisely. The chronology of events is available publicly. The whole thing started with the Malay Congress event where he was trying to build up support. His plan is by time to handover post to Anwar, he will ensure that all Malay MP’s continue to support him and this will deny Anwar (AI) the PM post on the argument on majority MP support.
On the day of the Sheraton Move, BERSATU had their meeting. Agreed that the Party had rejected Tun M but who planted the seed of suspicion for them that led to the mutiny? It was Tun M himself. He didn’t have to resign or submit a resignation letter. He should have sat down with his partners and discussed. Instead, he resigned and partners only found out through the media. PH Presidential council members had to search for him high and low and he refuses to meet them.
It was Marina that arrange for a meeting between PH presidential council and the Tun at this home and even then Tun refuses to meet all of them in one go. He maintained his divide and rule practice and met each party head separately. If he did not resign, the situation would remain fluid and it would have given PH coalition partners to work out a solution. Instead, he let the situation go out of control.
At the time when the YDPA was trying to determine who has the majority, Tun was repeatedly asked to sit down with the PH presidential council to strategize. He refuses. Instead, he waited at his corner with so called 66 MP’s supporting and expects Anwar et al to come to him. His ego and the need to show that he is in control. This led PH to submit Anwar as a PM-designate. Whose fault is this?
If he thinks about Malaysia, he would have sat down with PH presidential council. He refuses to do so and insisted that since he did not have the support of this party, he is no longer the Chairman of PH Presidential Council. What logic is this? Isn’t it is clear that based on public evidence that Mahathir is guilty? Tommy Thomas’s account of the event was correct? The underlying issue is Mahathir does not want to hand over to Anwar and has been orchestrating series of events to ensure Anwar does not have the majority MP support when it is time for handover.
Malaysian at large will remember Mei 2018 election win and will also remember how Tun betrayed the nation. He always says that Melayu Mudah Lupa. Well, this is 2021, the Malays do not forget easily because information lives forever on the internet. It will resurface regularly. Melayu mungkin lupa tapi Internet tak lupa!.

Saya memang pantang melihat orang yang kuat menipu/memfitnah dan menghasut.
Penjelasan Tun tentang PERLETAKAN JAWATAN Tun memang sudah jelas sejelas air mengalir di sungai yang bersih dan jernih.
Tetapi, kita ada segolongan manusia yang enggan menerima penjelasan Tun, dan enggan menerima HAKIKAT sebenar.
Hakikatnya ialah Tun tiada di majlis makan malam di Hotel Sheraton pada 23 Feb 2020 bersama BERSATU, PAS dan UMNO (dll.). Hakikatnya ialah TSMY dan geng berada di sana. Tun enggan bersekongkol dengan mereka.
TSMY dan geng merampas BERSATU dari Tun. Orang sebegini akan mendapat pembalasannya. COVID-19 pun agaknya gelak terbahak-bahak (jika boleh gelak) melihat gelagat TSMY dan geng yang masih perasan hebat dan dalam penafian! Majoriti pun tiada.
Sekarang, Tun dibalun kiri-kanan oleh geng TSMY dan geng Anwar-Kit Siang, tetapi Tun masih teguh berdiri. Saya sokong Tun. Jangan berganjak ya Tun…

The whole issue here your PH gang threw you under the bus. They wanted the new PM Nuo, not you, not your idea for unity government.
Agong made a wise decision beri jawatan pada TSMY, dari Bersatu. Tradisi itu jalan seperti biasa Tun dari BERSATU letak jawatan, TSMY dari BERSATU ganti jadi PM.
Kenapa perlu bitter hingga sanggup duduk kerusi pembangkang dalam Parlimen. Takan Tun jeles sebab Nuo or LGE tak dapat jadi PM. hahaha
Accept the facts la Tun, they JV ngan you because nak masuk Federal Gomen dengan agenda2 yang tidak baik dapat mereka jalankan dengan baik.
Sepanjang Tun jadi PM under PH, Tun dah cukup stress, so let it be la, life goes on. Now banyak masa untuk nilaikan hidup dengan baik. Now muka2 talam 2 muka jelas nampak siapa, sudah tentu bukan TSMY.

My past comment saw the light of day in your blog. You are responsible for the downfall of PH government. When your party rejected you, there is no reason for you to resign immediately. You should have consulted your partners in the government. Instead, you resign silently and your partners had to find out through the media. They had to run around to find you. It was Marina that open the path for your partners to see you at your home. Even then you didn’t see them at one go. You insist on seeing each party president separately. The game is divide and rule ie your old game
Had you consulted your partners, several hours could have been used for fruitful discussion to retain the government. Unfortunately, you played the victim game and hoping that everyone came running to save you like how u cried when during the UMNO assembly when u announced your resignation after 22 years rule.
You must admit, that your strategy was wrong. No one came running to you. You failed this time. Not only you fail your partners in the coalition. You failed the nation. You will be remembered as a TRAITOR to the people.
PM post conundrum.
How was the current Prime Minster selected when he had no clear majority, as explained. When the whole exercise of meeting the 222 MPs was to determine who had a simple majority of support. Either he did have it or he didn’t actually have it, upon becoming the Prime Minister. The thing just doesn’t click.
We will never know the fact, will we. It’s not a courtroom testimony. Under oath.
