2. The short answer is that we all want to remember and be recognised according to our racial origins, the countries of our ancestors came from, the languages we speak, the cultures we belong to.
3. We really don’t want to say we are just Malaysians and nothing else.
5. But are we so different from them. There are actually a lot of people of foreign origins in Malaysia who seem to have forgotten their origins. These are the people of Indian, Arab, Indonesian and even Turkish and European origins who are accepted as indigenous people by all of us. They have been so accepted because they identified themselves fully with the indigenous people. They speak the language of the indigenous people habitually, practice the customs and traditions of the people they have been assimilated into and incidentally they are Muslim.
6. According to the Federal Constitution these people are Malays and are therefore indigenous and not foreign in origin.
7. There is a row in Sabah because of the number of people who have been made citizens. Some of those people had been expatriated although many returned illegally.
8. But most of these people qualify to be citizens. They have been staying in Malaysia (Sabah) for decades. They and their children speak Malay, the national language.
9. On the basis of length of stay and mastering of the national language, they qualify to be citizens of this country. And so the acquired citizenship.
10. By comparison we have many citizens who cannot speak the national language who were accepted as citizens. And we are still giving citizenship to foreigners who wish to be Malaysians on condition they have been living in this country for 10 out of the last 12 years, speak the national language and take the oath of allegiance to the country. So why cannot the migrants to Sabah who have all these qualifications be accepted as citizens? The objections for them being accepted seem to be political.
11. And so the racial factor crops up again. There was a time in the distant past when parties based on ideology contested in elections. They were all rejected in favour of race-based parties.
12. If we don’t want our politics to be race-based, then we must forget our racial origins, speak the national language as our mother tongue and swear allegiance only to this country. We can retain our religion however.
13. Maybe one day this will happen. But for the present our politics will be race-based despite our protestations that we are not. We must not even say we are multi-racial as this implies consciousness of our racial differences.

I refer to your response on my highlight (not my claim) of the Swiss which is common knowledge amongst themselves that there are still 4 distinct tribes in Switzerland, the Germans, the French, the Italians and the Romanisch even after 800 years of the Swiss Confederation though they show a common front to outsiders.
You may be glad to know there has been assimilation amongst the different peoples of Malaysia beginning a long time ago in the Ming Dynasty, 17th century AD or earlier in the Kingdom of Patani and Cambodia.
Salam Tun,
Just a short summary.
1. In order for Malays to succeed and to progress further, we need freedom.
2. Freedom from the rule of other races, and freedom from the rule of our own race. Freedom itself should rule, and the rules of freedoom is what the government needs to lay out.
3. And that is the reason is am with PR. As i know BN cannot and do not want this to happen. Simply because they do not like it that way.
And that be the fate of us poor Malays.
Thank You Tun

the Govt must be opened to crazy ideas that come from anywhere
The present government has not the ability to do this. To accept crazy ideas, you need to accept crazy people. This government does not accept that at all.
But with big problems come big opportunities too. There is a blessings in disguise in everything. Its all in our minds and the
The government does not see it that way. They see the opposition as someone who aims to take over power, and they therefore are merely protecting their turf. Or should i say the rakyats “turf” from other rakyats.
Let us show to the World how big minded we are able to see ourselves only as fellow human race.It is not an option anyway.:)
It is not an option for UMNO or MCA or MIC to see themselves as belongging to their own race, ust an associate member of the human race. The big minded dream you talk about has just been shot down by Tun in his post.
Although i am with you on this, i am well aware most Malaysians especially Malays are very afraid to loose their race identity, because they have no other. A human being is not an identity, it is a species.
Islam offers an identity, but you know and saw for yourself how much resistance in your groups effort to bring the pure and beautiful Quran.
In my personal case, i do not need an identity. I am a citizen of Planet Earth. The less people know me the better.
May you all find peace.

salam to all,
dear wikibochor, mubarakchan, iskandar shah and the likes,
thanks for the comments be it positive or otherwise.
It’s just that we should always keep reminding ourselves and the younger generation that THE HUMANITY OF THE MALAYS ARE UNPARALLELED IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!
Malays are generally forgetful as they are inflicted with the MML syndrome, and other races would prefer to sidestep this benevolent act of the Malays that led to the creation of Malaysia as it is today.
We must know our history to shape our future.

1. There is a very good documentary called which explaines in great details we are all blood brothers.
2. Time and distance separated us, and we develop different languages and customs.
3. It is however obvious to me, all we want in life is fairness and freedom.
We may be 800 years away from localised geographically similar homo-sapeins or even homo-florences, i.e. bumiputra, as claimed by Mubarak Chan.
But let me ask our readers this. When can we start ?
Is next election too early ?
Thank You Tun

Dear Tun,
Asalamualaikom, the comment by Pashit is very relevant to this issue. All citizen of this country should read this and it just shows how much the malays in this country sacrifice to accomodate them, and i have no qualms that it was a good decission for the future of this country, and its has withstood the test of time, at least till now. I have many friend from all the various that constitute the population of this country and get allong well with them. We respect each other even though we are not of the same race or religon, but just as citizen of this country.
The issue now popping up i.e. race /religion base, is the result of certain political parties who have been drumming up the communal and relious issue to gain support. They are not bothered if the issues are detrimental to the peace and harmony of Malaysia as long as they can topple BN and take over power. The DAP and PKR is the main culprit and hey exploited the NGOs like DONG SHONG the chinese education association to spearhead the offensive using issues like education, chinese rights to have their own mother thongue be taught here, etc, the issue to recognise PKM/Chin Peng etc.etc. The assualt of these groups has definately provoke the malays to be DEFENSIVE, and then u also have PAS who have been issuing a lot of provocative statements in their support of the opposition stand and this has arrouse the feeling of discontentment between the Malays itself. So we now have a very explosive situation at hand, and no matter what will be the result of the 13th GE, the security senario is very tense and to me the agencies in charge of Security and harmony of the country should be prepared to face explosive situation. So who started the campaign to use RACE and RELIGION to gain the support of the Malaysia People, its very clear it originate from the opposition camp. On this issue its quite clear the MCA is not a very good option to rely on to as amongst their members and supporters are stubbing their back and i believe 40 percent of the MCA people will vote for DAP in the next GE. The MCA is a spent force and they hve lost out to DAP. For the MIC, its a 50/50 chances as their present leader is not as ‘charismatik’ and Samy Vellu, not because of leadership qualities but more on issues of how to tackle the indian communty effectively of which i salute SAMY an expert in this field. We can see how many vateran suffered under SAMY which has contributed to the current situation in MIC .
So YAB TUN, thats why we see the current situation where RACE and RELIGION has become the focus to generate support, and UMNO should play the card well if they are to survive and continue to lead the country. We can accomadate and be humble but we should not bent to low untill the MALAYS itself loose its DIGINITY, and the rakyaat become dissolossion.
I am not racist or a religious fanatic, but i believe in the pricipe of fair and impartial base on the highest law of the country as outline by the Malaysian Constiuation, and to the statement of the two co founders of Malaya..as mnentioned in Pashit comment above.
Thanks TUN, and selamat HARIRAYA AIDILFITRI maaf zahir dan batin kpd YAB TUN DAN TUN SITI ASMAH.

Why does not someone admit on this Blog that the difference between a BN Government and that of the Opposition is like between Life and Death ?
The easy accommodation between the different communities right up to 2003, was the fair and reasonable availability of opportunities for all. Those who did not understand or could not understand left for other abodes.
The non-Malay political parties have a major role to play and explain to their constituents the meaning of Malaysia and their very existence in this beloved land. They failed to do so. We are now left with a hiatus to be filled in a hurry before the next General Elections. It all seemed so easy in the past since Merdeka but these folks were overtaken by events which they did not forsee and now have ended up a pole, leaving the Malaysian Chinese in limbo.
Issues of financial misdemeanor can easily be resolved. As President Harry S Truman said, ‘ The buck stops at my desk !’
On issues of race, even Switzerland with 800 years of the establishment of the Swiss Confederation, the 4 tribes do not get along behind each others backs but try to do so openly.
For Malaysia, we have come a short way since Merdeka successfully unlike Pakistan, Sri Lanka, some African states etc since obtaining their freedom. We will rue the day that just because some politicians have a lot of money and want an important job, the Rakyat fall for this quick turn of mind and glib talk – changing Governments is not like changing shirts.
Again, take the case of Singapore and learn from their mistakes of pursuing meritocracy ( that was what they told us ) to the utmost which unfortunately was linked with money and not nationalism. Hence,
‘ there’s many a slip ‘twixt cup and lip.’
Yes ! Malaysia has lost much money because of fault lines in her administrative system which can be corrected and corruption be contained. We can only improve by recognising the mistakes.
There have been sarcastic comments on this by ignorant wise-cracks who are not only sanctimonous but condescending. What do these people really know……..? Talking is free. Talking is easy. This is one type of democracy for you if you do not vote the BN.
On Singapore’s record which is generally well-known if you really want to see and not look eg.
1. The use of money as an instrument of Foreign Policy resulting in the deaths of innocent men, women and children in friendly countries. Malaysia has not such a blood-stained Foreign Policy. Her Prime Ministers’ have no blood on their hands. Vide. ASEAN Regional News.
2. The 2 child family Policy which actually diminished the will to re-produce by the enforcement of efficient laws and penalties in contravention of possibly Clause 16 of the United Nations Universal Charter for Human Rights. Vide. The Star. Lee Kuan Yew. 13 August 2012.
Sayonara folks ! It is far far too late to catch up by doing double time !
3. The gigantic loss of US $108 Billions of her citizens Trust money in October 2008 on the NYSE. Vide. Channelnewsasia. Lee Kuan Yew. November 2008. All Singaporean Blogs. 2009-2912. Financial Times London. Gillian Tett. ‘Singapore’s Harvard Model’ April 2010.
4. The absence of humanity and multiculturalism resulting in racial friction at all levels of Singapore’s society. Vide. Channelnewsasia. Ministers’ pronouncements and the ‘Curry Smell’ Tribunal.
5. The lifestyle and wealth of the ruling elite is generally well-known.
Vide. i) The sale of Kim Eng Securities to Maybank. ii) The daily importation of 5,000 pigs into Singapore. iii) The supply of products from flower nurseries.
6. The importation of sportspersons from foreign lands to hit above the belt for vainglory. Singapore’s sports medals are made in China. Malaysia’s medals are made in Malaysia, out of hardwork and love of the beloved country. Vide. News media.
7. The importation of mercenaries eg. the Brigades of Gurkha Guards, jet fighter pilots, tank drivers, submariners, bomb disposal squads etc to protect the ruling elite. In other countries, these units are part of the Order of Battle for War.
The above facts are some reasons for not voting for the Opposition which is heavily foreign influenced and the Malaysians will be the paymasters.
This is the raison d’etre or real reason why all Malaysians especially the Bumiputras, the Malaysian Chinese and Indians should vote BN.
Hidup Malaysia ! All Malaysians stand tall and proud and vote BN !

You are right to point out all those points of differences between different races.
Switzerland celebrated its 800 years of Confederation in 1992.
Even today, the 4 main tribes, the Germans, the French, the Italians and the Romanisch still do not quite get along behind each other’s backs. In front, they all seem alright but their racial differences remain. But in nationalism, sports and other achievements, the Swiss are united.
All the idealistic comments on this Blog are fair and commendable. But in reality, to produce the real Malaysian person biologically with Bumiputra characteristics, may take some time.
Maybe more or less than 800 years.

It is appropriate and timely that your raised the topic ‘ The Race Factor ‘ at the present time in the midst of the 2012 London Olympics.
As I said before the words ‘ The Race Factor ‘ is devious, mischievous and down-right dangerous which were specially designed to disrupt, create chaos and throw out our tested and proven Malaysian political system which had successfully delivered to the diverse population of our beloved country, Malaysia through the guidance of the Royal Sultanates and the successive governments of the BN since the Merdeka of 1957 and the years and centuries before this. Where was the Opposition ? I mean the 6 distinguished gentlemen of the Opposition.
It is pride and honour that Malaysia, one of the over 150 countries in the United Nations, could compete with the biggest and the best on level terms and won 2 precious medals, one Silver and one Bronze. Credit must be given to the many sports officials behind the Olympic Contingent. Their successes cannot be achieved overnight without the long years of sustainable support of your famous 22 year Administration.
A long time ago, I could organise the SEAP Games single-handed within 2 weeks when the incumbent President of a State shooting association ran away to become a judge in another State. 34 Hakka Chinese members excluded all others because the rule was a member needed a gun permit to be admitted. On the instructions of Tun Tan Siew Sin, Tan Sri Kamarul Ariffin bin Yassin and myself changed the rules of this association to admit all Malaysians who were interested in this sport.
Today, this association has thousands of members and RM 2 Million. On my retirement, I surrendered my 7 Olympic target guns ( without destroying them ) to the Police Armoury. The Police armourer who took up this sport, spread this wonderful sport to all Malaysians, especially the Bumiputras who are now in this sport in acceptable numbers.
The Police armourer eventually became the personal bodyguard to a Royal Highness. And Malaysia won its first gold medal in the 1972 Teheran Asian Games.
All told, the development of any sport takes a lot of time and money – only the Government can do so. For the shooting sport, it took 7 years to win a Gold medal at the Asian Games. Malaysia will prevail.
The Silver and Bronze Olympic Medals won by our heroic sportsman and sportswoman are not to be sneezed at.
The whole Malaysian Olympic Team took years of preparation, practice and heartaches to even to achieve qualifying marks at selected Games.
The most important of all these are made in Malaysia. There were no race factors involved.
All Malaysians stand proud in the face of the achievements of our sportsmen and sportswomen who never demanded more than what is deserved for them to train and to improve to world standards.
Our Olympic medals are made in Malaysia, not more, not less !
Unlike Singapore which spent much money to acquire foreign sportsmen and women who could only deliver 2 Bronze Olympic medals made in China, and also has hired mercenaries like the Brigades of Gurkhas, fighter jet pilots, submariners, tank drivers, bomb disposal squads etc or whatever to safeguard the ruling elite at huge public expense, Malaysia took the peaceful and friendly route in all her honesty and beliefs in Humankind under the United Nations Charter. She has no plans for monkey business and waste public money.
Malaysia does not believe in vain glory !
This heavily armed Policy of Singapore maybe one of her many mistakes !
As a footnote, Britain only managed to pay off their Lend-Lease debt to the United States and Canada which was incurred in the Second World War 1939 – 1945 as late as 2006. Vide Financial Times London. 2006.
On hired mercenaries, during the Ottoman Empire, the famous elite Ciscerian guards were the mercenaries. This tradition was adopted by the British with their Gurkhas and the French, the Foreign Legion. But all were not deployed to guard the ruling elite. These formations were for the Order of Battle as the need arose.
No hired mercenaries, for peaceful purpose or war for us, we are Malaysians.
All Malaysians, especially the Bumiputras, Malaysian Chinese and Indians, do not feel inefficient, deficient and incapable. We have really and solidly come a long long way. Vote BN. Be proud !
No Bluffology for us, we are Malaysians !
YAB,
93. Malaysia is flushed with over whelming of cheap foreign labors from poor countries which caused social crimes out of control that made BN looks so bad and disorganized.
94. Now MIC VP, Mr Subramaniam said he and KDN and agencies will fly over to Bangladesh to re-activate the ban of hiring labors for manufacturing and plantations via government to government, to by passed middle-men.
95. Since Sabah, Malaysia, has over 2 millions of immigrants turned voters, why don’t this Human Resource Minister and the teams flyto Sabah first to do this study?
Good day, YAB.

….//In the words of the late Tun Tan Siew Sin (1916-1988), “The Malays, through UMNO, were generous enough to relax the citizenship laws of this country to such extent that within 12 months of independence, 90 percent were still non-citizens after nearly 100 years of colonial rule in the Malay States. In return for this major concession. the MCA and the MIC agreed to continue the policy of preserving the special position of the Malays while at the same time upholding the legitimate interest of other communities.( “Tun Tan answers critics on special previleges”, 3oth April 1969)
More so, in the words of Tun VT Sambathan, “Now, in 1955 we won the elections with a great majority. Then we obtained freedom in two years time. During this period, we had to discuss citizenship and various other things. Now what did the Malays do – since we are speaking on racial lines – what did the Malay leadership do? The had 88 percent of the electorate still with them. What did they do with citizenship? If we look around in Asia and East Asia, particularly, you will find that my race the indian race, is not welcomed in Ceylon, is not welcomed in Burma. Look at my brother Chinese race, it is not welcomed in Thailand, in Vietnam, in Cambodia, in all the other areas. What help do they get for citizenship in all these territories? In Burma, as we know, Indians have been send packing, in Ceylon they refused them citizenship and in Burma it is likewise. I know it, you know it. And yet in Malaya what happened? Here we found that the Malay leadership said, “We shall take them unto ourselves as brothers, we shall give them full opportunity to live in this country, we shall give them every opportunity to become citizens.” And so, in 1957, for the whole year, we waived language qualifications, and tens of thousand of Indians, Chinese, Ceylonese and others became citizens…As I said, it has been my great good fortune to have born in this country. Where else can you find a more charitable, a more polite, a more decent race than Malay race? Where else can you get such politically decent treatment for any immigrant race? Where else in the history of the world? I ask you. These are the facts. Who are you to safeguards us? I am 10 percent minority race here. But I am happy here.”(State Assembly Debate, 1st of June 1965)//….
Dear PAShit
1-This either shows the mindset of a very sincere trusting Malay leadership or the mindset of one leadership really lacking in forsight. Why did he agree to offer citizenship so easily knowing just how vulnerable the position of the Malays then a people being left a thousand miles behind the immigrant races in its economic doimnance?
2-Doesn’t he know just the reason why other countries had not been so generous to these immigrant race is simply to protect the interest of the locals.Everywhere in this world the immigrant races are the ones controlling the economy,be it in all the
countries in Asia,Africa well even in America.
3-So can we say that this decision to give citizenship in a haste without studying the implication it had for the future security of this country shows the immaturity of the early Malay leadership at that time?
4-No sir, I do not think that they are so stupid but rather they had not a choice.I believe this is the condition bulldozed by the British to the Malay leadership as a condition for them giving the independence of this country. This is what happen when independence is achieved through negotiation and very much arranged by the British.
5-The British was keen to transfer these mostly Overseas British Citizens to the Malayans otherwise England will have to accommodate them should they be unhappy staying here.Through this arrangemen the British had successfully transferred their baby to us.
6-This easy citizenship was also planned to ensure their former colonies will never rise to challenge them in the future. They had created time bombs such as this everywhere in their former colonies .Too many due to civil wars had remained undeveloped even until now, unlike our blessed nation. This bomb has obviously been working too as the British had designed considering 13th May 1969 and the kind of constant threat of same from time to time.
7-That is what I think had happened and there is no point crying over spilt milk. What is done cannot be undone.Todays Chinese and Indians have been born Malaysians .Where their grand parents came from has nothing to do with them.Whether their grandparents/parents got the citizenship easily or not is also not their concern. Being equal citizens they only demand equal rights. This is their country too.
8-Bringing this matter up and hoping they would realize their good luck and be grateful and so accept the special privileges is not realistic.
9- Instead of lamenting over past events that cannot be changed ,for the survival of our children in the future and in order to go forward what we must do by hook or by crook is to diffuse this time bomb.It is not a choice.
10-We need to discover a new formula. We need some real crazy ideas. We must be extremely extra creative because we need to think out of the box. There is a solution to every problem but the Govt must be opened to crazy ideas that come from anywhere. We must be ready to think big because our problem is really very big.

YAB Tun
In my opinion, races also reflect the survival of their religion. If Malay could not be a dominant or majority in governing this country what will happen to its religion which is Islam. Therefore in order for Islam to survive, Malay also has to survive in Malaysia. Malay cannot expect other races to leverage Islam, other races will leverage their religion if they have the authority. So, if Malay keep on fighting with each other I believe sooner or later they will become a minority race in their own country and of course Islam will become weak while other religions will become strong. When that happen, we cannot reverse the time anymore, and Malay race in this country will become like Malay in Singapore. Therefore Malay race political party is still relevant for the survival of Islam in this country. Malay people need to be careful with the political games being played by the opposition party nowadays because there are a lot of hidden agendas being kept behind them. Malay party who keep on partnering the opposition party should realise that they are part and partial of movement to demolish the Malay majority in ruling this country. Hopefully all Malay will realise this matter before it is too late.
Regards.
Assalamu’alaikum Tun
terimakasih Tun
salam Tun,
if we REALLY want to be called 1race 1Malaysia then shouldn’t we ideally…
1. abolish all types of National Schools and ban the use of mother tongue languages other than Bahasa Malaysia and English?
2. all Malaysians should have Malaysian sounding names only as practised in Indonesia?
3. all races should discard their cultures and wholly embrace the mainstream culture which is uniquely Malay?
Then only can we claim to be truly Malaysian! Political parties based on races would be a thing of the past, Malaysians will all speak in one language and everybody would fathom the National Anthem and Rukunegara.
Of course this scenario is unlikely ever to happen because there are many extremists who only want to take and not give.
The native Malays on the other hand have given up so much to accommodate other races, which is unheard of throughout history, as aptly described by Tun Tan Siew Sin and Tun VT Sambanthan;
In the words of the late Tun Tan Siew Sin (1916-1988), “The Malays, through UMNO, were generous enough to relax the citizenship laws of this country to such extent that within 12 months of independence, 90 percent were still non-citizens after nearly 100 years of colonial rule in the Malay States. In return for this major concession. the MCA and the MIC agreed to continue the policy of preserving the special position of the Malays while at the same time upholding the legitimate interest of other communities.”
( “Tun Tan answers critics on special previleges”, 3oth April 1969)
But I am happy here.”
(State Assembly Debate, 1st of June 1965)
THE HUMANITY OF THE MALAYS ARE UNPARALLELED IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!
Let us never ever forget this fact.
As it is, if Malaysians really crave for a society not based on race, then you should be willing to give up your name, race and cultural identity. Don’t be a hypocrite and demand all sorts of privileges but never wanting to give up anything on your part.
If you don’t agree with the above issues, then just shut up and try to integrate and assimilate into our profoundly unique Malaysian way of life which like it or not, is based on race.
And please uphold our Rukunegara, understand and fathom the lyrics of Negaraku.

Dear Tun,
The sarcasm in the article written by Opposition politician is understandable. I would sum up this way,
Tun Dr Mahathir may not be an angel, neither is he perfect, because he is human. Human errs. However, in the context of being the Prime Minister of Malaysia and I have never known him personally or benefitted directly from him, hereby vouch and attest that he was the best Prime Minister Malaysia ever had in all 22 years of his premiership. I agree literally ‘whence cometh such another’
I am not a sycophant(kaki bodek) of Tun Dr. Mahathir. This is what I think of him. He is hard working and responsible. He is clean and discipline. He is capable and efficient. He is courageous and has sense of fair play. He is visionary, intelligent and virtuous. He is loyal to a friend and his country(setiakawan). He writes and speak clear and good English and Malay. Tun, you are a man of stature of the best and highest level, no matter what your detractors and the opposition sour grapes call you because they are the modern Abu Jahal and Abu Lahab.

Good morning to all !
It is indeed interesting to read this article on how the writer comment on this and the truth and falseness of its contents.
Let us read it ,compare with Tun’s articale and comment neutrally.
==========================================
Mahathir Mohamad is an angel. A perfect being. He is incapable of doing wrong. He is a model to all Malaysians. He is wise. He is incorruptible. He never took a sen while in office. He saved his salary for his old age. Whatever goodies he received when he was prime minister, he gave to the Government. He only ate some of the fruits given as gifts because they would otherwise go bad.””

Dearest YAB Tun,
1. Of course Tun, some people what the most for their own race, but they always say that they want to be referred to as Malaysians only.
2. At the same time, they want to have Chinese schools, Indian schools and schools for each main RACE in Malaysia and yet they do not want to be identified based on their races.
3. Another funny thing is that they claim that their parties are not race-based parties, but the majority of the members are from 1 particular race, and also fight for the rights of that 1 race. “Cakap memang tidak serupa bikin”.
So in conclusion, Hidup UMNO!, Hidup BN! Hidup Malaysia! Hidup race-based politics!
And, VOTE FOR BN…
Thanks Tun.
*** May Allah SWT bless Tun and family ***
I would like to suggest to the government on how to have peaceful merdeka nite.
My suggestion
1. Tangkap these bersih people especially the kepala a week before merdeka and release them a week after merdeka.
2. For those balaci balaci bersih, just tangkap and tahan reman for a week. Then release them.
No need to charge them. Just tahan reman. It is enough already.
Bar council? No need to worry them. Neither u tackle this issue in good nor bad way, u the government is still bad. So wat the heck
Tun.
I plan to go out with my family to sambut merdeka malam merdeka nanti.
It is unfortunate that i have to cancel that.
Bersih 4.0 nak but demo plak kat dataran. Disturbing me n my family.
I strongly believed that there will be no peaceful night that day. Perang saudara will meletus. A few people will die this time around.
I dah menyampah with this bersih people.
I think it is time for the rakyat to do something to put off these bersih people for good unless the government take stern action to provide harmony to the people like me.
I really wish that rakyat will berhimpun infront of this bersih people house and start throwing stone to the house. Like melontar jamrah.
I think i should start asah my parang. I could not tolerate with this stupid bersih people anymore and i think we people should declare war to them.
I love peace. I love to live in harmony environment. I dont care if you like to demo anywhere in this country. Just leave us enjoying our merdeka with our kids. Go to elsewhere i.e jungle and do your bersih demo there.
I write this because i m no longer feels that we are merdeka due to these horrible bersih people. I could not enjoy the merdeka that i used too. Poor to my kid.
I will take out my parang if i have to merdeka back this country. I believe this is not necessarry if people respect the merdeka of other people. Really hate these bersih stubborn people.

Bukan tak sokong melayu tp kita kena tau hakikat.
English wajib sbb himpunan ilmu adalah besar.
Renungkan lah…
We still can maintain all cultures of the races . It is the politicians whom are harping on the race factors.

He only ate some of the fruits given as gifts because they would otherwise go bad.
During the Royal Commission of Inquiry on V.K. Lingam and the fixing of federal judges, he answered many of the questions with “I don’t remember”. He genuinely didn’t. He’s a geriatric, for goon-ness’ sake! Cut the old man some slack! How can he be expected to remember so many things in the 22 years of his premiership?
His administration was the best ever, and of course the cleanest. There were some scandals, but that happens with any administration in any part of the world. What’s more, Mahathir had nothing to do with them. Others were culpable; he was above it all. There were some bailouts, but the bailouts were necessary – no, critical. Without the bailouts, the country would have been hurt.
There has also been talk that he was involved in a plot togive citizenships to illegal immigrants in Sabah. This scheme started in the 1990s so that the grateful recipients would vote for Barisan Nasional (BN) and keep it in power there. Some call it Project IC, but others call it Project M, with ‘M’ standing for Mahathir.
But of course there is no evidence to link him to it. That’s why he can now come out to say that giving citizenships to immigrants in Sabah is right, and that those who oppose it are unfair and doing so for political reasons.
He says the immigrants have lived in Sabah a long time and they are fluent in Bahasa Malaysia,so why shouldn’t they be made citizens? Yes, indeed. What more solid reasons could there be?
Of course, he may have overlooked the fact that many spouses of Malaysians have been living in Malaysia as long, if not longer, and are as fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, if not more so, but they have not even been granted permanent residence (PR) – even though they have applied a few times.
But then maybe for PR, the Government needs to be more stringent. Could it be that PR also stands for Pakatan Rakyat, and that is something the Government doesn’t want to touch?
Whatever it is, the time is opportune for Mahathir to bring this matter up. Prime Minister Najib Razak has declared he will be visiting Sabah on Aug 11 to finally announce the terms of reference for a long-awaited Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the very same issue. If Mahathir is hinting that this would be a mistake, that in fact there should be no RCI, Najib should perhaps listen to the wise old man.
Or maybe Najib could come up with terms of reference that would just probe the issue superficially. After all, he just needs to make the Sabahans happy that an RCI is carried out at all; he doesn’t have to upset anyone’s applecart.
When Mahathir was PM, he never upset anyone’s applecart. And he also tried to make a lot of people happy. He created a number of Bumputera billionaires but he also gave the Chinese ample opportunities to be rich.
As he has always maintained, the media was free. He has said he never told the media not to be critical of him; it chose by itself not to be critical. The fault was not his; it was the media’s. He didn’t castrate the media owners and editors; they castrated themselves.
It is a measure of the man that he allowed media freedom although he himself believes that freedom can be a problem. Only last month, he said in the Philippines that freedom is enjoyed “at the expense of others, often at the expense of the community as a whole”.
He was always thinking of the whole community, the community that makes up the nation of Malaysia.
By the same token, he was guarded about freedom of information. As he also said in the Philippines: “ Secrets, including sensitive military secrets, are being leaked in the name of freedom of information. The whistle-blowers are hailed as heroes … When you create a problem by revealing people’s official secrets, something has to be done about it.”
One cannot be sure if he meant the alleged leaking of secrets during the Malaysian Government’s purchase of the Scorpene submarines, but it’s doubtful that he did.
As for whistle-blowers, he could have meant Rafizi Ramli and Johari Mohamad, both of whom were recently charged for leaking information related to the National Feedlot Centre (NFC) scandal.
If he meant those two, of course he was right. They were not thinking of the community when they exposed the NFC scandal. They were not thinking of the shame and ridicule it would bring. At the expense of a Cabinet minister and her family, no less. No wonder the Government had to act against Rafizi and Johari. They deserved it.
Under Mahathir’s watch, there could never have been exposés like the Scorpene submarine deal or the NFC scandal.
That must explain why when he was prime minister, he had to stick with the Official Secrets Act – even though critics claimed it was protecting the corrupt. They wanted transparency from the deals the Government made on mega-projects. They blamed Mahathir for forsaking the tender system in favour of negotiated contracts.
They were misguided. Negotiated contracts were a necessity. He had to be certain that the big jobs were entrusted to people he knew; how else could he ensure that the projects would be successfully completed?
These naïve critics never understood that Mahathir’s responsibility was greater – and that was to look after his own people.
(So that you don’t misunderstand, “people” here refers to the rakyat of Malaysia.)
Now some people are saying that he was a dictator. How can this be? No wonder he is asking for proof that he was one. Calling him a dictator must be the unkindest cut of all.
Sure, Operation Lalang happened during his premiership and 106 people were detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA) then, but that was to prevent a potential racial riot. Well, don’t forget most of them were released soon enough. And if he did extend the detention of 40 of them to two years, it was because he genuinely thought they were a security threat.
At the very least, you have to admit that he’s consistent –last April, he still said the ISA was a good law because it “could curb potential threats”. He said it kept the country safe. See? He is always thinking of the country.
He was also doing the same when seven months earlier, he supported the repeal of the ISA because it would place Malaysia “on the moral high ground”. It meant that our country would be one notch higher than Britain and the U.S. because now “they are the ones” involved in “detaining people without trial”.
We should also take note of what he said about Malaysia: “Not all those who opened their mouth were immediately detained under the ISA … and the perception that there was no freedom in Malaysia was also not correct.”
Simply put, how could he have been a dictator? Not all who spoke up were detained. And those who were did not get detained immediately. What more freedom do we want?
Mahathir is perfect. He is always right. He was and still is a leader nonpareil. He has been the best prime minister we’ve ever had. To quote a line from Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar: “Here was a Caesar! Whence comes such another?”
Salam Sejahtera Tun,
Get rid of chauvinistic and racist DAP, then we can have non-race based political party, we can name it either UNITED MALAYSIAN NATIONAL ORGANISATION (UMNO) or MALAYSIAN CONGREGATION ASSOCIATION (MCA) or MALAYSIAN INTEGRATED CONGRESS (MIC).

Yg Bhg Tun is not far from the truth.
We cannot take issues of race and ethnicity for granted because it is a human instinct for us to identify ourselves with, unfortunately, people who are of a similar race or ethnicity. As much as we want to move away from ideas of race and ethnicity, it is not in the State’s capacity to do so if the people are not ready yet. If you read Charles Tilly’s arguments about Democracy you will realize how Democracy only happens when there exists the right social conditions. Look at how sonorous certain countries are at saying that they are democracies when they are not e.g. Kazakhstan.
I feel Malaysia under Yg Bhg Tun has balanced the issues of race and ethnicity as well as the special position of the Malays somewhat well enough.
It is hard for one to understand the importance of the special position of the indigenous people of Malaysia if one does not understand the ideas and philosophies behind the forming of a nation with all the failed examples in the world that have led to either civil war, separatism or even genocide. That being said, the people with special privileges themselves must value their social standing and use it for good.
Tahniah Yg Bhg Tun and don’t regret or look back.

Assalamualaikum and hi Tun & readers.
We say Malaysia is a multi-racial country, but some of us want race-based politics to disappear. So, is there a great liberal political way to serve the nation as a whole in which advantages are more than disadvantages? Please share with me if you have it. Explain it to me.
Thank you.
Salaam Tun.
I am of mixed blood myself (Malay and Pashtun) and I feel very Malay because we all speak Malay as our mother tongue. I believe that it will be difficult for the various races in Malaysia to assimilate so long as they stay within their own sphere of cultural pride. Also religion play an important part in the assimilation. When you talk of the various races in the European countries and the USA that could assimilate very well; they are able to do that mostly because they belong to the same religion, Christianity. And we see that the Turkish find it difficult to do that and this is mainly because they are Muslims and not Christians.
The biggest mistake that our founding fathers did was that they did not assimilate the various languages in Malaysia into one single language like in Thailand and Indonesia when they agreed for independence from the British . They should have only one type of education system to begin with and do away with the Chinese and Indian schools which are based on races.
When I am in Thailand, I do not encounter or feel that race is a factor or that the people feel that they are of different races as we do in Malaysia. The main reason for this is that they all speak the same language. The Chinese is the dominant race in Thailand now, but they do not use Chinese names or go to Chinese schools. They all go to the same Thai schools like the others and have Thai names and speak Thai. Although many still speak good Chinese, they are on the decline. The same thing with Indonesia. The Chinese use Indonesia names and go to the same schools. Sooner of later they will feel proud of their single identity.
The Chinese schools and the Indian schools, as it is today, cannot sustain national identity and integrations and will only divide Malaysia into racial lines.
It is good and healthy for Malaysia to retain various cultures but when coming to integration they must use only one language and one type of school.
Thank you Tun.
Love to see the ideological Gerakan resuscitated and rejuvenated; only my idea involves talented persons to accomplish the process. Too bad Ahmad Murad Merican can’t see much but for his little seat in Perdana Foundation; third world brain with a glamorous Prof and Dr like Omar of USM and yet they say they respect the values of a Mahathir.
I do not care much for East Malaysia unless they change – it is the mentality of the Moros and Indon prevalent there: third world country mentality and proud of it with third world infrastructures.
What to do, even your son is a millionaire arak producer and you are very proud of it. Cheers, Che Det.
Salam Tun and All,
In my opinion, it is best that we have races in this world. There’s ‘hikmah’ (great meaning) in it. That is why Allah created human into nations and tribes. With this, I also think that there is no harm in race based politics so long that we understand why we were created into races.
The Glorious Quran says at the following:
“O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).”
Surah 49. Al-Hujurat Verse 13 (Yusuf Ali Translation)
Also in the Glorious Quran almighty Allah informs us that differences in our Races and languages is a sign from Him:
“And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who know.”
Surah 30. Ar-Rum Verse 22 (Yusuf Ali Translation)
I’m not a religious scholar but I strongly believe that race based society was for a good cause not otherwise. Our only enemies are the bad people and they came from variety of races. That is why we should not generalised people into their races.
In our case, Malaysia has been doing better than many countries in the world with single race.
Tun
The Race Factor ? What Race Factor, Tun, if you excuse me by asking this question ?
These words are devious, mischievous and downright dangerous with a heavy foreign overlay designed to disrupt, cause havoc and throw overboard our precious political system which was not built overnight but on the lives and backs of generations of well-meaning public leaders and the Royal Sultanates in our beloved Malaysia.
Arise all Malaysians, especially the Bumiputras, the Malaysian Chinese and Indians that we should be very proud of ourselves as we are. Together we have come a long long way not since Merdeka but generations before this signal landmark of history.
For the Malays and Malaysia, our system of Royal Sultanates dates back many centuries and improved upon with the establishment of the Yang Di Pertuan Agong and the Consititution which compassionately embraced all the other inhabitants as well. There are not many political system like this in the world ! The Emperors of China went kaput at the turn of the 20th century ! They refused to keep up with the world 200 years before this.
This is something which we already have and you must protect, safeguard and treasure forever. If you do well, the non-Malays will do well. As simple as this.
There is nothing to be ashamed of, fellow Bumiputras and all the non-Bumiputras as well.
Just because of a moment of weakness in our political socio-economic system from 2003 when interlopers invaded us and overlorded us and told us what to do or not what to do and made us feel deficient and inefficient, we became beseiged mentally and suffered frustration, dissatisfaction and unhappiness – and hit out at each other.
All these are nonsense deliberately created to cause internal dissension and chaos and shoot ourselves in the foot – a sort of self hara-kiri by brainwashing. The ultimate objective – to weaken us through sly and cunning means ! Stupid !
As a very interested observer of the good and the great on both sides of the Causeway since October 1951, I saw all these nonsense with dismay since 2003.
There is no better deal in the whole world than what we, Malaysians have got at present and it is in your hands whether you want to continue to build on it or destroy ourselves at the whim of others which is stupid. Stupid !
Fellow Malaysians please wake up.
And for all the Malaysian Chinese, you, rest assured, are not going to disappear into the longkang and diminish in real numbers unlike even one ignorant leader of a major non-Malay party told us some years ago. Stand proud, stay proud and work with your compatriots, normally. You will be alright.
I had many chances to runaway since 1951. I stayed and contributed in my own enigmatic way. Why ? Because I discovered all countries, the good, bad or ugly, are the same only the mind-set is different.
I saw this as the main reason why you, Tun, had to do something now or it will be too late for all of us like sayonara folks and disappear down the longkang and end up as a footnote in history !
Thanks to you Tun, this must never happen for the sakes of all the Bumiputras and the non-Bumiputras.
And Malaysia will be great, very great just by behaving normally. No need to be like the awesome Lee Kuan Yew or Icarus to reach for the sky. We are just normal folks, we Malaysians. Let us all march together for progress firmly and normally on the ground.
Reach for the sky, folks, here are the facts again eg.
1. Unlike Singapore, Malaysia has no blood stained foreign policy which caused the deaths or injuries to innocent men, women and children in friendly countries. Vide. ASEAN news.
2. Unlike Singapore, Malaysia did not impose a 2 child family policy for a generation in contravention of possibly Clause 16 of the United Nations Universal Charter for Human Rights.
3. Unlike Singapore, Malaysia did not lose US$ 108 Billions of her citizens Trust money on Wall Street in October 2008, abdicating her sovereignty, national interest and self esteem. Vide. Channelnewsasia Lee Kuan Yew. November 2008. All Singaporean Blogs 2009-2012. Financial Times London. Gillian Tett. ‘ Singapore’s Harvard Model ‘ April 2010.
4. Unlike Singapore, Malaysia practices humanity and multiculturalism since the Royal Sultans of yore and successive BN Governments since 1957. Vide. Channelnewsasia. The Curry Smell Tribunal.
5. Unlike Singapore, Malaysia does not have a Judicial System which is perfunctory. Vide. Channelnewsasia.
Tun, you have saved not only the day for us ( by coming out to say your piece instead of enjoying yourself and forget about us, the digits ) but the continuation of the Malaysian Dream which we had till 2003. And some have now shown to be never satisfied with anything, not even life itself. Stupid !
To the Bumiputras, stand proud and tall, you have one of the world’s best religions which is clean, strong and compassionate. There is nothing wrong with Islam.
All Malaysians please do not think in a negative way but positively.
For example, Malaysia has the No. 2 best badminton player in the world, the No 6 in keirin cycling, No 34 in ladies air rifle, the divers reached the Olympic finals and more.
And most importantly, all our Olympic sports men and women, past and present, are made in Malaysia. In the United Nations, there are over 150 nations of the world.
Our Olympic Silver Medal for Badminton is made in Malaysia unlike some countries which paid with millions of dollars to get bronze medals made in China. And their made in China shooting competitors fired blanks. All these ‘ made in China ‘ derring-dos at public expense.
Wake up Malaysians be proud of yourselves and those which guided the beloved country of ours for decades which is the BN and our unique system of Government with the Royal Sultanates and the Yang Di Pertuan Agong at head of this beloved country.
Malaysia’s democracy and politics are on par with the World with our system of Royalty, Federal and State Dewan Rakyats.
What went wrong will be corrected and improved upon. We are Malaysians. No need to knock each other on the head and call for a revolution. We believe in Charles Darwin’s evolution.
Maybe, one day, the World will come calling to see our unique system of dealing with humanity and multiculturalism e.g. Norway, Wisconsin, Australia, Singapore etc., as trans-migration increases in intensity due to political oppression, famine etc. We should welcome them to examine how we Malaysians deal with our own problems the Malaysian Way.
The World may even award a Nobel Prize to us if they are not so biased.
There is only one resource which Malaysia does not have and that is ‘ bluffology ‘.
A normal way of life for all things including the Government is the secret of our success. Not more or not less ! The word ‘ normal ‘ is a very big word in the Malaysian vocabulary !
No bluffology for us, we are Malaysians !
The Sekolah Wawasan should be fully implemented nationwide, with comprehensive curriculae to preserve the various etnicities in Malaysia. Every Malaysian who resides in Malaysia & goes through ten years of education in Sekolah Wawasan will undoubtedly be fluent in Malay. With ten years of positive interactions between the different races from a very young age, Malaysia will see a brighter future.
The story of Babel tells us what and why God did to disperse the first people. We were then ONE…united and having a specific goal back then. We want to reach for the skies….we wanted to be like our Maker. Hubris….that is what makes us fall….just plain HUBRIS.
Peace!
[49:13] O people, WE created you from the same male and female, and RENDERED YOU DISTINCT PEOPLES AND TRIBES, THAT YOU MAY RECOGNIZE ONE ANOTHER. The best among you in the sight of GOD is the most righteous. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant.
Based on [49:13], I believe that race-based politics is acceptable.
In the USA, people of different origins (Italians, Greeks, Irish, Hispanic, Mexican etc) are allowed to have their annual parade on the street. You may see these parades in YouTube.
Based on [49:13], it is acceptable for us to have differences and we must recognize (acknowledge) our differences. However, it has also been emphasized by GOD that from HIS point of view, our differences is not important compared to being righteous.
As per [5:42], it is also important for us to be fair to all races even to those who are liars and eaters of illicit earnings.
[5:42] They are upholders of lies, and eaters of illicit earnings. If they come to you to judge among them, you may judge among them, or you may disregard them. If you choose to disregard them, they cannot harm you in the least. But IF YOU JUDGE AMONG THEM, YOU SHALL JUDGE EQUITABLY. GOD loves those who are equitable.
As for the Sabah illegal migrants, I heard that most of them are Philippines origin.
We should also remember that as of 2008, Malaysian Government had been paying cession/rental money to the heirs of the Sultanate of Sulu for the lease of Sabah. This is an act of British government before the federation of Malaysia and continued by the government of Malaysia. I have no idea whether Malaysian Government is still paying this cession/rental money to the heirs of the Sultanate of Sulu.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabah_dispute
http://www.mysinchew.com/node/14285?tid=16
I sincerely believe that, based on the cession/rental money paid by the British and Malaysian government to the heirs of the Sultanate of Sulu, Sabah is the property of the heirs of the Sultanate of Sulu.
Rgds.
The race factor is the creation by politicians to exploit the weaker minds.
Dear Tun,
I don’t see any harm for race-based politics in Malaysia. Like you have said, we are so different – we speak different languages, eat different food, sing different songs, behave different ways, and pray to different God(s). Actually there is nothing that unifies us here in this country, except for common jokes and some common food and common references to people we all seem to like – Lat, Chong Wei, P Ramlee.
The Chinese want to keep everything that is Chinese – language, schools, religion, temples, graveyard, cultural practices, sing Chinese songs, keep the Chinese way of life and freedom to make as much money as possible.
The Indians too want to keep everything Indian, language, religion, enjoy Indian movies, just the same. The Malays too want to keep whatever is left of the Malayness, except for the young generation who don’t seem to care.
The Ibans want to keep their culture, language, etc just the same. So are the Kadazan, Bajau, Bidayuh, Orang Asli etc. And they should.
Even among the Americans, whom none of the migrating races can claim of being the original tribe, are quite proud of their original races. I know of a friend, who was of German stock, having objections from her parents and siblings for wanting to marry someone of Italian origin. Also, remember even Steve Jobs’s original parents could not get married, due to parental objections, with the mother from German origin and father of Arab origin. Thank God Obama’s grandparents were more liberal. But in politics they are united by the common dominant religion – Christianity, albeit the Catholics facing some form of discrimination. Only Kennedy got away with it.
The fact is, the majority of us want to be proud of our racial or cultural origin, and be proud of our ancestors. Hence race and religion will for a very long time remain the basic and background pillars of political party principles here in our land. We just have to live with that, at least during our life time. Don’t dream of an ideal non-racial party. Just be real.
Salam Tun
Demokrasi Malaysia masih muda lagi.
People are only telling lies when they say they are without race. We all belongs to certain race, whether we can proudly admit it is another thing.
Race Politic is one of the most basic and honest struggle to ensure the race along with its culture and religion to be fairly or fully defended. That was how country was formed.
Once country was formed, ruling the country is by ruling politic. That is where power struggle comes in. Opportunists individuals in accumulating power and wealth sometimes (most if the times) blinded the ruling group into destruction of nation.
Nationalist alone can not save the country. People change nationality all the time, but they can never change their race.
To maintain the stability of nation, race politic and nationalist must be in balance. When more than single race is in the nation, sacrifices among the residing nations through social tolerance are called for.
The balance among races must be a very delicate one. The real threat to the balance is the extremist. Beware of these…they comes in many forms and shapes. Most of the times they are from outside. Now a day they hide behind human rights, democracy, 1 world race, on and on. There will always be ungrateful and dissatisfied sector that they can harbor around and lunch their attacks.
Race Politic will always be around whether we like it on not just like Religion Race. People who believe that they can accept religion party but not race party are hypocrits to national politic.
SELAMAT HARI RAYA TUN dan Semua.
A’kum Tun. Think most politician are not aware that majority of voters, the younger generations, ie people on the street are fighting for their identity as ‘Malaysian’ and not as Malay, Chinese or Indian. Only politician are fighting the race issue for their own survival or personal gains. Why we cannot have non-race party to fulfill the needs of these younger generation. If we can turn sport assn into political platform, you can say bye-bye to BN or Pakatan. Look at football matches or recent LCW badminton final, people from all walk of life came out to support. Cant a party having the same spirit? Why cant govt be fair or be seemed to be fair? The ‘old guards’ thinking does not hold water any more. Their forefathers/mothers are dying with most of them already death and the present generation with their parents are borned in Malaysia, so why we cannot be a truly Malaysian. Why we still need to play with race issue? Why govt seemed to support those people who purposely instigate racial issues? People on the street are getting fed-up and most are frustrated. The GE2008 result, does not mean rakyat like the opposition but they hate the ruling govt more.
Assalamualaikum Tun.
Terima kasih Tun.
Tun
This is the most serious topic brought up by you in the history of this Blog.
I am against any change of Government under the leadership of the BN.
I have followed political personalities and events since October 1951 when a significant event happened in my family. From then, I saw the rise through politics of young, brash and arrogant folks to the greatest heights and then, the fall with mistakes compounding mistakes due to some mystical belief that some human beings are greater than others.
From my experience, I can say we all end up the same as when we were born.
The Alliance which ruled from Merdeka until the formation of the BN after 13 May 1969 was the old model which was revised through the wise leadership of Tun Abdul Razak in co-operation with others.
How many of us remember that the MCA pulled out of the Alliance at 2.30 pm 13 May 1969 on a whim and by 10.00 pm they returned to the fold ?
They gave the reason that they lost heavily because the Malaysian Chinese did not support them. This was not the case as the signs were already gathering for some years according to seniors pundits who were close to me that the MCA would take a heavy beating in 1969 for neglecting to serve the interests of their constituents and its one-sided constitution. The leadership then was the result of a palace coup-de-tat in 1960 which removed a qualified leader who became too big for his shoes.
The rest who followed, were never qualified to lead the Malaysian Chinese which actually consist of 2 types of people eg. the Mandarin speaking Chinese and the English speaking Chinese. Both live in a world of their own and with different characteristics.
The reason why we must focus on Malaysian Chinese politics as you pointed out recently, Tun, is that on the one hand, it is easy to deal with them if you know how and the other, it could be difficult.
As for UMNO in Malaysian politics, it must always remain the core like that of an onion with the many layers of add-ons because it carries with it the legitimacy to rule with the antecedents of history, religion, culture and legacy of the Malay Spring of 1946 ! A good example is that it looks funny if the Pakistanis in Great Britain seek to have a Prime Minister from one of their own.
And as for the DAP which is inspired and motivated by foreign forces until it sees the light of enlightenment, it played the waiting game until Lim Kit Siang has now become a wise man and would soon be an oracle.
How could the Malaysian Chinese in all respects of a country’s sovereignty, national interest and their own self-esteem worship a foreigner who could influence two generations of Singaporeans, many Malaysian Chinese and others, with only a one-off double first wartime Oxbridge degree – and most important of all, the following mistakes are showing – because of these mistakes, only the experts can tell whether Singapore has become or going to become a failed State ! – eg
1. The use of money as an instrument of foreign policy to kill, maim or injure innocent men, women and children. Malaysia has no blood on the hands of her respective Prime Ministers. Vide. ASEAN Regional News.
2. The possible contravention of Clause 16 of the United Nations Unversal Charter for Human Rights in the implemenatation of the 2 child Policy of 1970s and 1980s. This mistake probably sounded the death knell to the natural progression of Singapore’s indigenious population. Sayonara folks !
3. The loss of US $ 108 Billions of her citizens Trust money on Wall Street in October 2008. Vide. Channelnewsasia. Lee Kuan Yew. November 2008. All Singaporean Blogs. 2009-2012. Financial Times London. Gillian Tett. ‘ Singapore’s Harvard Model ‘ April 2010.- how can a sovereign state copy a university investment model ? Is this not an abdication of her sovereign powers ? Vide – the steady stream of advice to Malaysia from the Singapore Business Times etc.
4. The absence of humanity and multiculturalism which has now divided the residents by the importation of instant multi-millionaires with the possibility of being the 1% ruling elite over the 99% indigneous population – a daring attempt to tinker with demographics. In history, only China with cogent reasons and Hitler attempted it. Vide. Channelnewsasia. 2011-2012. A tribunal settled the question of whiffs of curry smell from one’s neighbour. We love curry in Malaysia.
5. The perfunctory Judiciary System which loses out to Malaysia’s Judiciary System by not being of Oxbridge standards. Vide. The Life of Admiral Canaris who was first demeaned by stripping him naked and then hung him with piano wires on Hitler’s orders !
6. The life-style and wealth of the ruling elite. Vide. i) The sale of Kim Eng Securities to Malayan Banking. ii) The importation of pigs into Singapore and iii) contracts for certain flower nurseries.
Please remember if you vote for DAP you will definitely not get Lee Kuan Yew !
Returning to 1969, we can now see the results on that fateful day by the unilateral action of a major political party within the Alliance.
Many innocent men, women and children lost their lives or were injured.
It is good that we are aware the political events leading up to 1969.
I was present when heated debates broke out between the Alliance and the PAP in the Dewan Rakyat in 1964-1965 – and the pre-election rallies at Suleiman Court, Kuala Lumpur and other places.
I was present when demonstrations were held in Foch Avenue ( Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock ) in protest against the shooting of a person in Kepong by the police before the General Elections of 1969.
I was present when post-election motorcades of the victorious Opposition toured the streets and roads of Kuala Lumpur making a big din with their loudspeakers drums and cymbals etc.
And as it is said the rest is history.
Even before the General Election of 1969, we can now discern that the security was not in control ( even at a time when the communities used to live apart ) and the political leadership was hit by something which was not dealt with after considering all the options. We must not forget that Singapore left Malaysia under a cloud in 1965 and LKY cried on TV as a result.
The word ‘ revenge ‘ in politics is as common as ‘ yes ‘ or ‘ no ‘ in the vocabulary !
But fortunately, Malaysia’s resilience and will to survive were ingrained in UMNO’s leadership beginning with the NEP right through to 2003 from then, the image of an iron pyramid with goodies flowing down its slippery slopes was forgotten.
The more the authorities tried to do their own thing and bring in fresh ideas from Singapore and further afield, the more they were lost. Why ? They did not control but let others controlled them like the New Straits Times and put ideas into their minds not in Malaysia’s interest but something else more sinister.
And now we end up with Kuala Lumpur full of spies overtaking Singapore and Bangkok in the 1950s-2000s !
The DAP with its unique Lee Kuan Yew lineage, the PKR with its very rich family in play and PAS with its esoteric objectives are lined up to take-over and change the BN Government in Putrajaya.
Unfortunately, the PR is a copy-cat version of the BN and its aims are just the adjustments of the abnormal administrative mistakes of the BN, no more or less ! Their task will be formidable if not impossible.
There is nothing wrong with the policies of the BN per se except for the out-dated exclusive political practices or lackadaisical manner of UMNO’s partners. The system has worked well only the weaknesses have come from the political digits who were in place in a period of general political and socio-economic activity from 2003 !
Therefore, it is not racial politics which have held down the political-socio-economic progress of the Nation but the digits. A quick and smooth recovery will be to put the right digits in place at important points of the iron pyramid which has served the Nation well for centuries.
It is so important for UMNO to have a wise and strong leadership which safeguards our sovereignty, national interest and self-esteem. All Malaysians should understand this nub of our existence.
It is so important for the non-Malay parties in the BN to be like Caesar’s wife who was beyond reproach and work doubly hard for their constituents. No more fun and games, folks ! Politics is a serious business without the money !
What BN needs is to evolve into a more acceptable 21st century version. Many revisions were undertaken in the past. Why not now and the future ?
Malaysia’s politics is the Malaysian way of racial politics which could be the answer to the humanity and multiculturalism problems of developed and advanced countries today. The longer they ignore this fact that people on the Planet are different from each other the more problems will come to hand for them eg. Norway, Wisconsin, Australia etc.
In other words, other countries may find our way of democracy more up-to-date and fitting to the diverse populations in these Western democratic countries with maybe outdated political systems.
The Malaysian Way !
Dear Tun,
Please allow me to post the following link
http://www.nst.com.my/nation/general/pm-never-allow-politics-to-supersede-islam-1.121838
It shows the wise political strategy of Prime Minister Haji Najib Tun Razak to counter PAS potent blending of religion and politic. Recently big notice is being put up in every masjid under MAIS forbidding individuals or politicians from using the masjid as a platform to spread fitnah against others.
vote BN
amin tan
Salam hormat Tun Dr.Mahathir
Kalau kita lihat Thailand,Philipines,Indonesia
Tun,
Then the federal constitution is out dated and should be update for a united Malaysia.
Are you saying that the Malay race doesn’t exist and was created just because of the constitution?
Why claim something that you personally know that don’t belongs to you?
Every type of race or people of the world have unique facial, skin, body, bones structure and features. So how to claim something when the appearance show something else?
Don’t understand how this Constitution can be created!
There are many that can speak BM, taken the oath of allegiance to the country, accept Malay way of life (baba nyonya) and born and live in Malaysia since birth but not Muslim. So how to categorise these type of people?
I think the constitution based too much on religion and the British help to create the constitution and they put a time-bomb in it.
Well…. Lee Chong Wei may not be as “stylish” as Lin Dan but at least he is not a pariah like some people……..
Salam Ramadhan pada Tun yang dihormati,

//2. The short answer is that we all want to remember and be recognised according to our racial origins, the countries of our ancestors came from, the languages we speak, the cultures we belong to.//
1-If this short answer is the reality then its no big deal,Tun.If we can’t change the situation then let us treat this as God’s blessings to us and learn to live with it.What we should be doing is to see how we can reap the synergy all this diversity could deliver. We will be Malaysia, truly Asia, forever.
2-Wisemen say, when life hand us lemon, make lemonade.Don’t worry be happy.
3-To go forward onto this truly challenging terrain we must first create the right all-terrain vehicles that can carry us to our destination as smoothly as possible. To create them which we must, will cost tons of money for some. Some others will only require enormous political will and courage, like the kind you have shown during your 22 years..
4-First ,deliver to all Malaysians a just and fair treatment as their basic human rights .Once everyone feel equal, they can now be naturally united.Focus on this racial unity thing like our life depends on it. That much loathed by non Malays ‘,the Malays special privileges’ stuff therefore has got to go.Give a realistic dateline for the Malays to achieve whatever their target, after which, achieved or not, only special privileges to the needy irrespective of race will be in place.
5-Next, we need to relook at our extremely flawed education system which would surely need a ‘total’ revamp. This is the factory to churn out the peaceful and global generation,so this is mandatory. The Govt must attempt this initiative at all cost. This is the clear ‘F minus’ for the BN at the moment.
6-Next,allocate a higher portion of GDP to an all new Sports ministry. This will not be an expense at all but rather an investment. For a multi racial country like ours sports will be an effective adhesive like no other to get us together, forever. Do the Malays care if Lee Chong Wei is Chinese?
7-Ensure complete fairness in identifying the sportsmen to join the sekolah sukan at Bukit Jalil and elsewhere.Develop cricket, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, golf, etc to world status.Spent whatever it takes esp at the takeoff period.Buy players if need during this time.Give citizenship whatever.
Introduce NKRA’s that will force the Minister responsible to deliver results or get sacked.Maybe the PM himself should double up as the Sports Minister.
8-Last but not least,in the light of the changing and uncertain economic environment now,we need to discover an alternative business model immediately, the kind ..
a-that encourage intermingling of races while they make money together.
b-that make their uplines support their downlines irrespective of race with all their hearts and soul simply because it is a win-win situation.
c- that requires such an unbelievably small investment all races could participate and one when they persist will make them wealthy beyond their wildest imagination .
d- that would offer all the these three major races a fair opportunity to reach out to the top three biggest economies of Asia ,China ,India and Indonesia through their well preserved cultural links.
9-That business model I think I have discovered is the one and only ,Network Marketing(NM) .Its a magical business model I believe will be the new civilization of the 21st century now that it has been fully enhanced by IT and speedy global delivery systems. After the global collapse to come,Network Marketing due to its awesome leverage of exponential growth and global reach will dominate the entire world in an unbelievably short span of time.
10-Malaysia, strategic and blessed with the right human materials is poised to be the natural launching pad to capture Asia and the World! No other country could do it better. In order for Malaysia to take prominence in this ‘newly emerging world ‘ that would soon be looking for a leadership, we must attack this ‘ area’ others are ‘ ignoring’ with all our hearts and soul,as my good friend Sun Tzu had suggested in his ‘ Art of War’ .
11-No I am not delusional as middle ages would think,Network Marketing is definitely it Tun.
Thanks Tun.
Good morning YAB,
14. After reading comment by BT2 August 7, 2012 at 10:17 pm on
“Simply, if truly some people want the race-based to go, as first a step, all Chinese and Tamil schools must go. That’s the yardstick.”
15. This is barbaric and extreme Malay UMNO and PAS propaganda that cannot tolerate other races.
16. This is why PKR, Malay DS Anwar bin Ibrahim is raised as economic consultant to bring new hope to both Chinese and Indian community to go against these extremist.
Selamat Berpuasa, YAB.
SALAM KASIH DAN SAYANG
AYAHANDA RAKYAT TUN
Izinkan,
….
12. If we don’t want our politics to be race-based, then we must forget our racial origins, speak the national language as our mother tongue and swear allegiance only to this country. We can retain our religion however.
Saya Ipoh mali sama itu kelete api lo..
Saya api kereta naik .. Sg. Siput mari jugak..
A choice between slim chance and fat chance of no. 12 happening!
Veli soli and a thousand apologies lah, Ayahanda Tun.
ALFATIHAH, AMIN
Ps. We have had serious and learned comments on this Blog. Maybe we have should have some real life and light-hearted ones for a change here. A good and wiseman once said.
Simply, if truly some people want the race-based to go, as first a step, all Chinese and Tamil schools must go. That’s the yardstick.
Sekian, Salam Hormat Yg Bhg Tun & Wassalam.
This is a long overdue issue that to be solved.
We still cannot solve it. Why?
Because we have people like kit siang. Damn racist. Hate malay very much.
