2. The opposition is particularly strong on this issue. They are very concerned that we respect human rights and principles of justice. They believe that we should accept the liberal views of the great western civilisations particularly the United States of America.
3. In war of course you can kill anyone you designate as the enemy. The war against terrorism which many countries led by the US is fighting is not a war against any country. It is a war against terrorists.
5. If the US says a person is an Al Qaeda terrorist then no one should dispute this identification. The US Government categorisation cannot be questioned in a court of law.
6. Once the US classifies the person to be a terrorist, then he is the enemy and he can be considered as an imminent threat to the US. He is considered as planning to kill Americans. As an imminent threat it is justified to kill him.
7. According to the US the person need not be told of his classification as a terrorist. He need not be charged in a court of law. He can be taken out i.e. executed by the agents of the US.
8. And so today, even as the US condemns detention without trial, it executes just about anyone without trial. It considers executing individuals who do not even know they are classified as terrorist or that they constitute imminent threats to the US as right and proper. The US Government need not explain why the person is a terrorist and what kind of imminent threat he poses the US.
9. In 2011 an American citizen of Yemeni origin was killed with weapons mounted on a drone flying in Yemeni airspace. Many other US citizens have been similarly assassinated using drones. Of course there are any number of foreign citizens who have been assassinated in foreign countries without trial.
10. The Governments of these countries may or may not be informed. Their permission is not needed. They may be deemed unable or unwilling to kill the designated terrorists. Then the US has the right to violate their air space, their sovereignty and send their drones or unmanned aerial vehicles to kill the person concerned. In the process other people, innocent people, will also be killed. That’s too bad. They are collaterals.
11. I wonder what Malaysians who object to detention without trial think of execution without trial. So far, they have not commented on this issue.

The hypocrisy of those who “oppose the ISA” because it is “a breach of the Human Rights Convention” is simply astounding.
If the country tomorrow announced that “Islamic extremists” cells had been discovered and that they belonged to a very wide network within the country and that a couple of these “Islamic extremists” had already set off bombs, one wearing a suicide jacket, there would be an overwhelming call to detain without trial as many Malays as is possible. Without doubt.
The sheer extent of the hypocrisy of these opponents of the ISA is breath taking. Firstly one has to remember that in the common law in all countries people charged with crimes but not tried, are only free on bail. And what is bail? it is a surety that they return to court on the appointed day for their trials.
Those who cannot afford to make bail and incarcerated for months. Lorraine Osman was incarcerated for years. That period in detention was not on the basis of guilt but on the basis of an implied or suspected guilt. It happens everywhere. Just south of the causeway. In the UK and in the USA. In Australia, in Egypt and in Germany.
The right to detain someone without trial is public policy. It is often good public policy when in a place like Malaysia the political cancer of the opposition needs to be put away when they incite hatred and race divisions.
What would happen if there were another outbreak of a contagious disease like the new strains of flue. It has been the practice and remains the practice that those without the capacity to isolate themselves are isolated in isolation wards. No trial here. It is an offence against public health and it is a crime. No trial required.
A weak government under Abdullah Badawi softened the ground for the current government to do away with the ISA. The way things are going now with the rabid anti Malay anti Islamic rhetoric from the opposition would lead any reasonable reader of the situation to believe we would need more than the ISA to contain the fall out after the coming elections.

Atau jika Airasia banyak tipu muslihat, mungkin boleh diwujudkan budget airlines yang lebih jujur dalam perniagaan. LOGIKnya, jika tak mampu memiliki 5-star airlines… down grade sahaja ke budget class kan?… or VVIP kita tanak naik budget airlines?

Again, we can see that United States is not consistent with their principles. They said that others are not right and they need to repair the other countries. 1. It is not about USA. It is about Islam and the way of thinking. And it has led mankind to believe that kiling and / or torture ( mental and /or physical ) is justified for religious or Islamic reasons. It is now already translated into laws, so called laws of “God” or “Allah”, implying no one should question it. It also means there can be no Opposition to this, and any opposition to God is bad, evil, satan.
2. This hideous and cruel doctrine exists in many religions. And therefore we can find many examples of cruelty done in the name of religion. And as demonstrated by USA, it does not have to be religion, many cruelties in world history was done either due to religion or due to politics and power.
3. So then it is not religion or politics or power that kills, it is the way of thinking itself. Hence if a human feels it is justified to kill for anyone for thinking differently, there will then be, as we have all witnessed, many deaths.
4. Is that a cure for all this ? Yes, i think so, and it is by correcting our own way of thinking. And that is why we need opposition, so that we can balance our way of thinking and decide after hearing both sides of the argument and using our good heart.
5. However, it is Religion that does not allow us to think and use our hearts. USA during Bush days think well but have no human heart, and therefore says the killing of babies “worth it”.
6. And so life goes on in this manner until we humans come to terms that we should not kill and should not cause harm to others. Now if only the muslims can accept that that is Islam, we would have some measure of peace in this world, for a while at least.
7. The thing that comes to mind nowadays is, who will control and silence the local terrorists if the religious nuts themselves rule this country ? Bersih demonstraters are crucified but terrorists and ridiculous religious rules allowed to roam free ? I don’t know, i think we need a rationale and logical government. A government who is focused on progress, and not moral judgements, holier than thou laws, and above all can take effective action against religious threats and remove archaic laws.

2. Islam strictly forbids killing of innocents. Nobody can ever be justified in killing one innocent man, woman or child. It is indeed a grave sin. In fact, all forms of oppression are outlawed, and Muslims are encouraged to help others no matter what their religion or background is. Rather, it upholds the sanctity of life. It encourages human rights and supports resolution to peace (unless you are Arabs not living in Palestine (Gaza)!)
3. Good you might become as a Theologian but kindly refrain from abusing the Quran! Like this instance, you misquoted the Quran purposely, which is sinful.

Take the case of Singapore. The ISA is still there. See how absurd it is for the Singapore Government to retain it as follows:-
Lee Kuan Yew ruled as a one man ruler of Singapore for 55 years, 1959 to 2013 and it is suggested that he will be there for another 10 years. During this period, Singapore sprouted that their Government practices democracy, clean Government, meritocracy, fairness, rugged society, crime-free, world class, world’s best etc.etc. And during this period, 1959 to 2013, 38% of its indigenous Singaporean population disappeared through emigration or abortions.
Here is a Government which clearly laid out the lines of governance and engagement to all its citizens and blared their apparent successes in monetary terms to us Malaysian folks in the ulus.
And to compound the absurdity of mis-governance by Lee Kuan Yew with the impeccable starred Double First in Law from Cambridge, not Oxford, the Singapore Government at public expense produced a White Paper on the Population which starkly outlined to the remaining Singaporean folks that their remaining numbers will be reduced by another 12% to 50% and the other 50% will be hard-core foreigners of India and China origin. Further, if nothing is done, (this is the result of Lee Kuan Yew’s meritocratic pyramid’s policy), the existing 62% will be reduced by another 50% in one single generation to 31% by 2040. Hey! Hey! Those clever folks must have been drinking a lot of teas in the halcyon days to sell these poor Singaporean folks down the Singapore River !
Without the application of the ISA, as at the present date, 38% of the indigenous Singaporean population had already gone somewhere!
I think this White Paper on Population and its implications is the joke of 2013. White Papers were often demanded by the DAP.
During the same period, 1959 – 2013, Malaysia democratically elected 5 Prime Ministers and never boasted on anything at all. Our Prime Ministers were all compassionate and did what is required of them concerning good governance and the ISA was hardly used at all. And yet, Malaysia managed to build up a credible middle income group especially between 1981-2003 of 750,000 household with 7.5 Million souls and the majority are either millionaires or potential millionaires. This only one of the many goodies which the BN as led by the UMNO with the 14 component parties have delivered.
The main reason why we see all the injustices meted outside Malaysia at the present time is that we are Asians with compassion for the injustice and the sufferings of the innocents. Without the great Lee Kuan Yew as the bulwark of the Opposition and his warts or clay feet showing through his failed Policies, where is the Opposition going get MORAL support anymore ? His own Singaporeans came out to demonstrate for the first time AGAINST their own impending demise in ONE generation !
From the comparison of the tale of two countries, it is as clear as crystal that as regards that transparent fair play and justice, Malaysia has no guilty conscience to hide in the protection and security of her citizens. Killing without trial vs. detention without trial?
Are we trying to justify the act of detention without trial over killing without trial?
We should not justify the Malaysian Government’s practice of detention without trial just because the American government is practicing killing without trial.
Both (killing without trial and detention without trial) are BAD. Both are against the teaching of the Quran.
[6: 151] Say, “Come let me tell you what your Lord has really prohibited for you: You shall not set up idols besides Him. You shall honor your parents. You shall not kill your children from fear of poverty – we provide for you and for them. You shall not commit gross sins, obvious or hidden.
