1. Di zaman informasi ini maklumat boleh diputar sehingga yang buruk menjadi baik dan sebaliknya. Kebanyakan kita belum faham kegunaan big data – atau maklumat yang amat luas dan terperinci. Tetapi sudah ada perusahaan besar dalam bidang ini. Di antaranya ialah Cambridge Analytica yang memberi khidmat analisa maklumat untuk tujuan tertentu.
2. Melalui pengumpulan data yang menyeluruh berkenaan individu dalam sesuatu masyarakat, maka pihak pakar analisa boleh kenal pasti sifat berkenaan apa yang disukai dan tidak disukai oleh individu berkenaan dan seterusnya oleh masyarakat. Dengan pengetahuan ini cara mempengaruhi fikiran majoriti anggota boleh ditentukan.
3. Maklumat ini berguna umpamanya untuk mempromosi barang jualan oleh pengusaha dan peniaga. Demikianlah jayanya proses ini sehingga pelanggan membeli sesuatu yang tidak dikehendaki olehnya, semata-mata kerana dipengaruhi oleh iklan yang faham sifat pembeli.
4. Big data ini juga berguna dalam bidang politik. Analisa big data oleh pakar akan kenal pasti apa yang boleh menguasai pemikiran pengundi umpamanya. Dengan pengetahuan ini maka kempen boleh diadakan supaya pengundi terpikat dan menyokong.
5. Di masa lampau ini kita sering lihat calon yang buruk mendapat sokongan dan kemenangan. Kempen yang diasaskan kepada kajian big data boleh menjadikan seorang penyangak dimuliakan dan disokong. Orang ramai boleh lupakan keburukan seseorang dan menjadinya hero yang didewa-dewakan.
6. Orang Melayu dahulu bercakap dengan “pukau”. Apabila kita dapati seseorang itu melakukan sesuatu yang bukan normal tanpa segan silu kerana terpengaruh oleh kuasa yang tidak dikenali, maka kita anggap ia telah kena pukau.
7. Di zaman ini “pukau” dilakukan dengan mengetahui sifat-sifat yang ada pada seseorang atau sesuatu kumpulan sehingga mereka melaku perbuatan yang luar biasa.
8. Pukau moden ini berasas kepada sains dan psikologi. Maklumat terperinci dan menyeluruh (big data) berkenaan seseorang atau sesuatu kumpulan boleh didapati dari segala kegemaran memakan, membeli-belah, jenis hiburan, sukan, pelancongan dan lain-lain. Data yang didapati boleh dianalisa dengan komputer dan peribadi ditentukan. Dari data ini, strategi boleh dibentuk untuk mencapai matlamat.
9. Kos oleh pakar analisa tetap tinggi. Hanya mereka yang kaya raya sahaja yang boleh upah.
10. Tetapi bagi mereka yang berkepentingan dan berduit, mendapat khidmat pakar analisa big data tetap berbaloi. Fikirkanlah melalui cara ini pencuri boleh jadi hero yang didewa-dewakan.

On Covid-19 vaccine.
It would be a good idea for our Health Ministry to think outside of the box, having been under the guidance of WHO since independence. Malaysia and Indonesia and other Asian countries are teeming with traditional medicines and remedies, but they are considered “subversives”. Our old folks often tell us not to look down on the odd plant outside the house fence. At one time, a rather odd plant leaves were used by us to clear the common yellow skin appearance of our first son, and it cleared up in just two days. But when we asked the nurses and doctors, they couldn’t name the plants but instead were well-versed with the latest antibiotics et cetera. Same with the skin condition Psoriasis. I know of people who for years took western medicines and still do it until the skin is irreversibly damaged. Then I prescribed a certain plant leave, one of them who believed, recovered in just two weeks. And she never has the condition anymore, after more than ten years on western medicine.
Malaysia has its own funds. We don’t receive funding from the World Bank for development anymore. So why can’t we elevate our traditional medicines to the same level that western medicines receive all this while. The Malaysian government can allocate annual budget for the Health Ministry for further research into traditional medicines, to see how traditional medicines can complement western medicines at the same time.
Reliance upon one source of cure does not make sense. Open-mindedness is necessary if we want to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, or any future virus for that matter.
So, state funding for traditional medicines of Asia is the way forward.
P/S. I am not anti-western medicines as I am a product of western education myself (..in fact, I am an Anglophile). But there needs to be a level head when one wants to solve a problem. Not through emotions.

Tun, I dulu ada client yang besar kepala. As consultant I always try my best to solve his problem with the public perception. Since dia ini suka pandai2 sendiri, ikut kepala dia, tak suka dengar cakap consultant, I hanya buat sekali dua kerja untuknya. Because sikapnya yang begini dia sekarang bukan lagi top corporate figure.
My friend another consultant pernah beritahu I dulu yang dia pernah dapat offer dari PKR, dia tolak sebab against his principle. Ini adalah perkara biasa, bukan semua consultant nak buat kerja untuk politician or any individual yang mereka rasa tidak sesuai.
Even in the advertising agency pun sama, kalau rasa client ini semacam tolak account ini, buat kerja untuk lain. Jadi consultant bukan sangat pasal duit tapi the value of the advise yang diberi. Kalau takat nak free, armchair critics berlambak, tapi taukah Tun dan orang2 Tun gunakkan ini untuk buat satu kempen politik dengan jayanya. Yang sering I nampak seperti meludah kemuka sendiri. Asyik2 kena.

One racial wars pandemic.
It looks like the Covid-19 pandemic has produced a new form of pandemic currently spreading like wildfire on every continent, in almost all “European”-based countries, in fact. The ethnic minorities are doing their best to TAKE control of these countries and are trying their best to turn everyone of them into another South Africa, the failed state post-Nelson Mandela, it is today. South African Airlines is undergoing bankruptcy process as of now. The thing is, they might succeed. Some concerned white people, who choose to remain cool “for the time being”, are silently complaining of a new anti-white racism around the world. Who can blame them..
What essentially is a result of centuries of economic failure of ethnic minorities and majorities throughout the world, due to persistent lack of competitiveness (emm… that reminds me of certain ethnic group in our very own Malaysia!!), has been taken out on a revengeful ego trip to destroy their more successful white neighbors where the live together. Statues and symbols of colonial supremacy are defaced and torn down(!!), even though these hundred years-old statues are not responsible for their economic backwardness today. AND sadly, for these revengeful people, their ego-centric destructive activities does nothing to improve their socio-economic wellbeing, nor send the correct lesson to their own future generations still at school(!) In short, the wrong solution has been employed(!) But what else can one expect from them(?!)
In fact, the example that they will impart to their young kids is simply… if you cannot beat others by studying hard and working hard, then just destroy the world.

On PPBM’s future.
The way I see it, if PPBM rejoins the PH coalition, Tun and TSMY will have the same problem all over again. DAP and PKR will want the Prime Minister post and they will pressure PPBM exactly for another time frame that suits them. Unless of course Tun and TSMY agree to this.
Besides, as already proven in successive by-elections, PPBM has already lost its grassroot Malay/Bumiputera support to UMNO and PAS. That means this will very likely end in tragedy for all PPBM candidates in PRU 15. The writing is already on the wall for PPBM.
The only way PPBM leaders can salvage their political career (including the incumbent PM himself indeed) is if PPBM is merged with UMNO, or if PPBM is merged with PKR so that they can contest in PKR’s safer constituencies. How much leverage PPBM has with either party depends on what that party is asking for. As I see it, PPBM has better leverage dealing with UMNO.
By the way things are at the moment, PPBM’s future is bleak.

If there is a no confidence vote toward the Prime Minister in next Parliament sitting, I don’t think it is in the interest of Bersatu (TSMY Faction) to have a general election. The reason being, there is no agreement on seat allocation for UMNO, PAS and Bersatu (TSMY Faction). Mostly likely UMNO PAS will contest all parliamentary seats including Bersatu controlled areas. This will wipe out Bersatu (including TSMY faction). The most reasonable action would be a return to PH government, led by you as Prime Minister.

I pun dah beberapa kali cakap sini no money malas nak campur. If tiada duit or tak nak keluar duit, boleh buat hentam kromo, tapi hit and miss la, dah macam siluncai terjun dengan labu2 nya.
Zaman sekarang dengan internet memang payah nak delete old datas. That’s why masa mula2 ada cyberspace ada Mat Salih hilang kerja and business due to his earlier bad comments about certain powerful individual online. Boleh cari punya sape punya account, jangan main2 ya!
Kat investment forum pernah terjadi case a few years back, dimana retail investor kutuk another retail investor yang kaya raya online. Khabarnya that person akhirnya bunuh diri, while that retail investor yang kaya raya dapat sponsor Tun dan PH.
If that person yang kutuk cakap kat I, I mungkin dapat selamat nyawanya dengan strategy tertentu. But itu pun kena kos duit, I tak nak campur jika there’s no duit for me. Mana ada consultant nak kasi free advice and ideas. Kalau tak nak bayar boleh guna armchair critics, that also berbalik pada hit and miss, siluncai terjun dengan labu2nya. Nasib la.

1. Saya amat setuju dgn pandangan Tun yg mana “big data” amat berguna kpd yg mempunyai kepentingan dgnnya dan yg mampu memperolehi servis ini. Malangnya semua data yg dikeluarkan hanya utk kepentingan yg membayar utk servis tersebut walaupun data-data tersebut tipu dan palsu. Amat berguna sekali tipu-daya demikian kpd yg kurang cerdik dan tahap pendidikan yg rendah yg tidak boleh membezakan yg benar dari yg batil. Amatlah dikesali, kebanyakan mereka adalah org-org Melayu.
2. Sayugia, ramai juga rakyat Msia yg pandai ttp bodoh tak bertempat. Ambil contoh, AI. Ketika PH rata-rata cuba memperbetulkan ekonomi negara, beliau sibuk mencium tangan-tangan yg rakyat sedia maklum berbaur politik. Memekik yg beliau mempunyai sokongan yg mencukupi utk menjadi PM ttp bila sampai waktu, gigit jari. Kini, dah jadi Ketua Pembakang, dah bisu mcm tikus mondok. Yg diutarakan cuma perkara-perkara remeh-temeh yg anak-anakpun tahu jwpannya. Kenana PH takde calon utk PRK Cini? KP AI, takut kalah or takut Covid19 atau dah ada persetujuan dgn PN? Haprak.
3. Politik Msia dah hancur. Kita kembali ke zaman Rejim Najibul cuma didlm acuan yg berbeza. PH membelanjakan wang rakyat seolah-olah ia cap duit daun pisang. Kalau berhutang, berapa tahun baru lunas? Mana sumber utk byr balik hutang? Harga minyak dah jatuh. Kelapa sawit dah jual lambak. Lain-lain hasil negara dah tak laku. Naikkan atau perkenalkan cukai-cukai baharu? Sepatutnya, 2020, Msia menjadi negara maju ttp nampaknya kita kini dah “gostan” ke Msia tahun 90an semula. Karut.
4. Sudah sampai masanya, Msia mengemukakan calon-calon politikus yg profesional dan yg muda dlm linkungan usia 40an utk mengambil-alih pemerintahan negara. Politikus sediada berserta parti masing-mading eloklah berundur dan beri laluan kpd politikus yg lebih myda dan berwibawa. Elok Msia maju kehadapan dgn polikus yg berwibawa walaupun tidak berpengalaman drpd maju bersama politikus sediada yg dah basi dan tak relevan. “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
5. Sekiranya Tun masih ingin meneruskan kerjaya politik, saya akan sentiasa menyokong Tun. I sedia menerima 10 Tun drpd menerima mana-mana politikus ygsediada sbg ketua negara saya yg tercinta ini. Ttp, Tun harus ingat (dan jgn sekali-kali lupa!) bahawa semasa memilih kawan, pilihlah kawan yg nampak kesedihan didlam senyuman Tun, kesayangan dibelakang kemarahan Tun, dan sebab-musabab Tun berdiam-diri. Realiti.
