1. Kami cuba dapat ramai orang untuk memberi pendapat berkenaan darurat. Ramai mereka yang berpendapat darurat tidak perlu. Mereka sebut beberapa sebab mereka berpendapat demikian.
2. Mereka jelaskan tetapi ternampak mereka dalam ketakutan. Mereka rendah suara sambil memandang sekeliling mereka. Dan mereka pun pesan jangan bagi tahu sesiapa berkenaan pendapat mereka.
3. Kata mereka, mereka takut kerana Kerajaan penuh kuasa dan boleh buat apa sahaja kepada mereka. Denda sebanyak 5 juta dan penjara 10 tahun. Tidak boleh dapat perlindungan undang-undang.
4. Saya cuba jelas Kerajaan tidak boleh buat begitu. Tetapi mereka tidak berasa senang.
5. Disuruh tandatangan surat rayuan supaya darurat ditarik balik – mereka tolak.

Dr Moron Si Polan aka pengganas ISIS kata saya keturunan Cina komunis kurang ajar. Dia ini keturunan pengganas ISIS lebih kurang ajar sebab saya pun tak bergelar dia ISIS dulu. 4. Most people know about Tun Salleh’s dismissal but few care to find out what really happened. Some believe that the action against Tun Salleh was because he had proposed a panel of 12 judges to hear the appeal against Judge Harun Hashim’s findings that UMNO was an illegal organisation. Others believe it was because he was biased against UMNO
in his judgements.
5. None of these is true. Tun Salleh had not been biased against the Government. He dismissed the application by Lim Kit Siang in the case involving UEM and the Government, for an interim injunction made by a lower court in a lengthy judgement made by him as President of the Supreme Court. In numerous other cases his judgement favoured the Government. As to the panel to hear the appeal against Judge Harun Hashim’s findings, a bigger panel could actually be good for UMNO, which wanted nothing more than the validation of the election results making me President and Ghafar Baba Deputy President. Whether the panel rejects or approves Judge Harun’s decision, UMNO and UMNO Baru would not be affected.
6. The truth is that the case against Tun Salleh was triggered by his letters to the Yang di Pertuan Agong which were considered by the Agong as being highly improper and insulting to him.
7. In his first letter Tun Salleh had written to DYMM YDP Agong complaining about the noise made during some repair work at the Agong’s palace near Salleh’s house.
8. This alone can be considered as very improper. A man as senior as he was could have asked to see the Agong and verbally informed him about the noise.

I have to say that this blog is probably the most open-minded blogs I have come across. Either the blog admin never bothers to filter what is being spouted in the blog, or the blog admin is remarkably open-minded. Either way, this should be praised as exemplary of freedom of speech.
Freedom of speech is not an individual thing. It is not the birth right of any particular group of people, whether in the West of the East. If you asks me, the majority of people in the world are inherently narrow-minded. If given the chance, they will steal, they will kill, and they only accept like-minded people as them. This applies to people in the West, believe it or not. The storming of the Federal Capitol building in Washington DC is just the latest example of what you can expect when there is no law to tie people down to proper behavior. The point is, just because a person is a European or an American, doesn’t at all mean he or she is open-minded. And likewise, just because a person is black or brown, doesn’t mean that he or she is narrow-minded. This is not a character by birth. It is a character formed out of institutions.
By institutions, I mean the religion, the education system, the family environment, and most importantly the country’s laws. Freedom of speech is enshrined in the US Constitution, and for this reason every American citizen is Expected to be open-minded with other people’s views. But if the law is suspended, suddenly you get to see how the general public really behaves in an unlawful environment. It is like going back to the jungle.
I am sure there are plenty of open-minded ordinary people in China, but the country officially does not allow freedom of speech or freedom of association. Their police actions in Hong Kong says it all. In short, a country like China wants people to be narrow-minded, for whatever reason.
Malaysia the way I see it, is going to be a very open-minded society. This can be due to the rapid rise of the educated middle class besides its unique demographics, and higher expectations are raised as a result. More freedom is expected and soon maybe this will be permanently enshrined in the country’s Constitution. Who knows.
Any thing is possible these days.

Teringin saya melihat Si Polan yang mudah lupa menulis dalam BM. Tong kosong saja kot. Tahap BM dia saya yakin lebih teruk dari Si Sewel HantuBukitTinggi.
Apapun, orang Malaysia tidak kira dari kaum mana mesti fasih dalam BM. Tambahan pula kalau artikel Tun dalam BM. Kenalah sekali-sekala menulis dalam BM. Itupun kalau tahu adab.

I ingat dulu2 ada game show wheel of fortune, wonder juga tak de ke tv channel nak bagi free channel untuk rerun of old game shows.
On jobs. I nampak sejak akhir2 ini, ada beberapa banner gantung nak ambil pekerja. I think bagus sangat buka peluang bagi orang Malaysia kerja. Kita bukanlah kaya sangat nak tanggung selagi ada negara susah bagi rakyat mereka kerja sini.
On pets. Kalau tak larat bela jangan main buang2 campak2 merata rata. Hantar pets ini ke animal shelter or panggil saja local authority such as MBSA collect dan dihantar ke animal shelter. Setelah hantar jangan lupa animal shelter juga perlu duit untuk urus binatang2 ini, so hulurkan duit semampu mungkin.

While we are still on this topic, here is something that Tun and friends might want to consider.
Consider FINALLY, holding a public referendum in Sabah and Sarawak, like what the UK did in Scotland in 2014, to ask how the people in these two former British colonies actually want to be governed. Is it…
A) To be independent countries, or
B) To merge with Malaya and form/stay in Malaysia, or
c) To merge with another country like the Philippines or Indonesia.
If Tun is wondering, I would confidently say that the people of Sabah would want to remain inside Malaysia. I would, anyway. But I don’t represent Sabah. Be clear about that.
Here’s the thing. Tun might wonder why Indonesia suddenly went ballistic with the Konfrantasi once Malaysia was proclaimed on 3 September 1963. Tun might also wonder why the Philippines now and then pester the Malaysian and Sabah governments with their historical claim over eastern North Borneo. Should be glad that Brunei didn’t do the same thing. Or Brunei would have if they had been a party to the Manila Accord that was agreed between governments of Malaya, Indonesia and the Philippines, and I quote:
“10. The Ministers reaffirmed their countries’ adherence to the principle of self-determination for the peoples of non-self-governing territories. In this context, Indonesia and the Philippines stated that they would welcome the formation of Malaysia provided the support of the people of the Borneo territories is ascertained by an independent and impartial authority, the Secretary-General of the United Nations or his representative.” (Manila Accord, 31 July 1963)
Let’s cut the story short. The United Nations came to Jesselton and Kuching not to do what they were supposed to do, i.e. conduct a “full-scale public referendum”, but the lazy bums simply endorsed an earlier flimsy report by the British Government-appointed Cobbold Commission on the wishes of the people of North Borneo and Sarawak. The whole world knows that the Cobbold Commission was entrusted to support the formation of Malaysia, no matter what the public wanted. That’s the simple reason Indonesia and the Philippines asked for an independent body like the UN. And the UN Secretary General didn’t do what was expected of him under the Manila Accord, did he, eh. I can’t remember anyone from 1963 telling me they went to a polling station for a flippin’ referendum(!) Because they was NONE. N O N E. Fancy to know what to expect of the Indonesians and the Philippines to do next when the agreement was clearly breached by Tun knows who. Yes, a Konfrantasi and an unending ridiculous claim on Sabah.
So, why not get rid of the Takut factor and simply hold a public referendum, for goodness sake. Who knows, the people of Sabah and Sarawak may still love Malaysia.

1. Darurat tidak diperlukan dalam menangani penularan wabak COVID-19.
2. Cukup sekadar PKP (dan variasinya) dan SOPs COVID-19 yang ketat – pelaksanaan dan penguatkuasaan yang TEGAS mesti dilakukan. Jangan bagi muka langsung, dan jangan ‘flip-flop’. Yang ingkar denda saja minima RM10,000 bagi setiap kesalahan.
3. Menggantung Parlimen semasa darurat kesihatan lagilah tidak diperlukan.
4. Cuma di Malaysia saja kita ada PM yang PENAKUT (@bacul – penyakit takut yang kronik) yang menggantung Parlimen semasa darurat.
5. Banyak negara lain yang turut isytihar darurat, tetapi Parlimen / Kongres tidak digantung.
6. Lagipun di Malaysia kita tidak ada demonstrasi GANAS menentang PKP (lockdown) dan SOPs COVID-19 seperti yang banyak berlaku di negara luar.
7. Jadi, darurat tidak diperlukan.

The point is, it is no different in politics. When the country was in its infancy, there was no such thing as an anti-corruption agency, as there was no much to steal from. But when the country becomes an industrialized economy, hundreds of billions pass through ministries daily. Human temptation is always there. And when it got into them, then politics no longer become a labor of love, but simply a necessity to stay out of trouble. Politics have to continue. That simple.
Before anyone says it, this is not trying to point finger at any particular people. That’s not a nice thing to do.
