2. From Indonesia to New York, suicide bombers, airplanes, cars and vans loaded with explosives are being blown up, killing people and destroying buildings almost with impunity.
3. Security measures have been taken, using sophisticated and costly methods, specially trained anti-terror squads, electronic detectors and tedious body searches, including scrutiny of shoes, hand bags and luggage. But the terror attacks have gone unabated. We seem to have to live with this danger striking where we least expect with no end in sight.

The analysts and writers have attributed such acts as being due to the teachings of the Prophet of Islam, as the tendencies of Muslims to be violent, as the expressions of the clash of civilisation, as the jealousies against people who are better off themselves. They blame the extremism of the Wahabi sect of Islam and the hatred of leaders of the sect such as Osama bin Laden.
6. Based on their analysis they prescribed measures to curb terrorist activities, arresting suspected, subjecting them to torture and humiliation.
7. But still the acts of terror have gone on and show signs of escalating. Muslim airline passengers are made to go through humiliating searches, detained for hours. Hundreds of so-called terrorist suspects have been detained without trial for years, often humiliated and tortured with no means of seeking redress.
8. But through all these the real reason for these violent acts of terror has been deliberately ignored. It is as if the Europeans and the Americans are in a state of denial. It is as if all the European and American leaders fear to state the truth. Their media too appear to conspire to avoid mentioning the true cause of the anger and frustration of the people who commit these acts of terror.

Yet if we pause to think we cannot help but notice that these acts began with the forceful seizure of the land of the Palestinian Arabs in order to create the formerly non-existent state of Israel; the expulsion of the Arab Palestinians from their homes and their country, the killings of the Arabs by Zionist terrorists, and the incarceration of the Arab Palestinians in makeshift refugee camps for the last 60 years or so.
10. This is the basic and original cause of the acts of terror. Initially the neighbouring Arab countries tried to regain Palestinian land through conventional war. But Israel with the help of America and Britain defeated the forces of Syria, Jordan and Egypt.
11. Not only were they defeated but Israel grabbed more Arab land. At each attempt to regain Palestinian land, Israel together with America and Britain seized more Arab land.
12. In the area of Palestine which the Israelis have not seized, Jewish settlements were set up. Roads were built on Arab land which the Arab Palestinians are not allowed to use. High walls are built to break up Arab villages, preventing the villagers from contacting their close relatives even.
13. In the meanwhile the world watched the expulsion of Arab Palestinian and their plight with little concern and less sympathy.
14. Against the powerful Israeli forces the Palestinians could do nothing. They have no guns or tanks or fighter planes. Angry and frustrated they tried guerrilla war. But this was to no avail.
15. Eventually they resorted to what is referred to as terror attacks. Not having delivery vehicles they made use of suicide bombers, blowing themselves up.
16. Instead of resolving the Palestinian issue the Americans and the British decided to attack other Muslim countries. Afghanistan and Iraq were invaded, and Syria and Iran are threatened. Naturally this did not help solve the Palestinian issue. It simply aggravated the problem. And now other Muslim people, knowing that there can be no solution by their Government have adopted the same terror tactics as the Palestinians.
17. I was in Syria recently to attend a conference on the “Right of Return” of the Palestinian people I was also in Iran and Yemen. Everywhere I went I found among the ordinary people anger and hatred directed at the Jews, the Americans and the British. Their Governments are terrified by the British and the Americans. But their people are more and more bitter. There will be many who would be willing to blow themselves up even if they will not succeed in liberating their countries.
18. Terror attacks will not diminish for as long as the Palestinians are forced to remain as refugees, are denied the right of return.
19. America will have a new President soon. If the membership of his Cabinet and his staff are anything to go by, there is little that Obama can do, even if he wants to solve the Palestinian problem. All American Presidents and legislators are hostages of Israel. Fail to side with Israel and they will be defeated at the next elections.
20. “Terrorism” is going to be a part of the world scene for a very, very long time.

You say the Palestinian suicide bombers are a classic example of “melepaskan anjing tersepit”. I agree with you. I can even empathise with them but I will not go as far as saying therefore suicide bombing is OK. And we do not need to rally the support of all Muslims against all Jews, like many readers seem to suggest with their comments. Doing so is leveraging the influence of sectarianism to defeat humanity. You seem to revel in the prospect of Islam becoming the second largest religion in the world. With due respect, I think it’s quite worrying, for it shows the growing sectarianism in our world.
Religion makes it too easy to divide people by creed. It gives us different uniforms to wear in war, to differentiate between ‘self’ and ‘enemy’, when we need not be involved in any war and there need not be an enemy in the first place. Without religion, we are just humankind. With it, we are Muslims, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus. I agree with v9179 (December 28, 2008 3:34 PM) in that religion is just a membership. When a member from our religious institution wages war against another member from another religion, we pledge our support based on religious allegiance. Without religious divisions, Israel’s assault on Gaza is a flaw in humanity which needs to be improved upon. The disappointing part is how impotent the Arab leaders are. I’m sure the fuel for the fighter planes, tanks and other ancillary vehicles used in the attack come from muslim countries in the middle east.
All the Arab leaders have to do is to call for a week long moratorium of all oil deliveries to all the world. Then, and only then will everyone sit up and listen.
But then, it would need political will and coiurage from the Arabs, and unfortuantely they are lacking in both.

I went to Syria quite recently. Was very surprised that the country is quite peaceful as compared to what has been portrayed by the western media. No tanks no sign of soldiers patrolling the city streets…etc etc, and the people are very peaceful.
My point is part of the world problem nowadays is also contributed by not well-meaning reports from the media especially western media on Muslim world. Our local media seems to be lead by the nose also as their sources on the world news are from these people.
I do not have any solution to this, but I hope that you can give some thought to this. The real danger in the world today is actually the obvious Fitnahs made by these western media.

Lets face the facts, the western got the brains to stop all these nonsence. They knew the root causes and they certainly can resolve this issue with the muslims. But as usual they pretend that they did not know and misdirect with something else. We take for an example 2 main groups that cause problems in the world.
A. The Muslim terrorists and The Drug Cartels.
1. The reason that Muslim terrorists act was to get back their lands, the drug cartels just want to make more money. Eventhough the methodology of killing innocent/civilians is extremely prohibited by Islam but the reason which directly involves the root cause.
2. Most muslim terrorists are not rich and most of them living in caves. Most of Druglords live in mansions and as per wikipedia Pablo Escobar was once the 7th richest man in the world and Osama didnt even make the top 10 list of rich guys.
3. Damage have been done by muslim terrorists can be considered massive with substantial civilian losses and properties but when we compare with drug cartels, they even worse, they killed judges, policemen, civilians for control, their products destroy youths in watever country, religion and color which is in the millions, the cost for rehab for the addicts is far more costly then these muslim terrorists have done. But strange Iraq got invaded and these cartels crops still fluorish, no soldiers invading?
4. The terrorists depends on hatred and fanatism to fuel their course but drug cartels depends on money. But strangely the effort to spoof the cartels money in the banks still questionable.
5. Drug cartels network is everywhere even in government institutions everywhere in the world. Excerpt from wikipedia from one of the cartels, “we dont kill judges, we buy them”.
So, lets face it, the key word is money. If these muslims terrorists can pay more money to their western enemies, they dont need to blow themselves up just like the cartels. The western to me is the most corrupted nations ever, their corruption index are low cause their got methods to make it clean and dont get caught so it seems the index looks low. So there..the double standards, if we muslim got alot of money, dont think western going to do these horrible things to the mmuslims they even wanted to be buddies. So for all the muslims out there, stop the killing and hating, lets work together and make the muslim countries more prosperous.
Note: So Sad majority of Dubai lucrative contracts goes to the western …sigh.

Id like to response to a reader who mentioned terrorist is not happening among Buddhist, Hindus and Taoist. Who said so? Most of the triad and ah long is buddhist, I remember Hindus who demolished a mosque and killing Muslim in India and many more. Isnt this a terrorism? what is your definition of terrorism?
However, I do agree that muslim country should be united, but not to solve an issue of terrorism. It is to enable us to protect our member from being terrorised in a more concrete manner. Easier said than done huh.

prejudice is inherent in all human beings. even between married couples. even between family members. so it is not hard to imagine people of different races having prejudice among them, what more between two races that have been at war for the last 40-50 years.
it is easy for us malaysians sitting on the desktop to think about a solution for them, that is to share the land equally as they have been doing in ancient times during prophet muhammmad’s time, perhaps even before that. but how certain are we that they havent thought about this before? and how can we have equal sharing when one party clearly thinks that they are above the other, the chosen one among all races?
well, see, as I am writing this, I already have prejudice against other races. Point proven.
can we really be clear of all bad things in our heart, and strive to make world a better place for all of us? we cant… we all have needs and these needs at times create conflict with others’ needs. i feel so pessimistic abt this, cant help it. I would like to congratulate Kokabala on December 28, 2008 7:33 PM for being practical and make us all remember that religion is a membership where we should note what really matters and what doesn’t.
I would like to suggest that the subject history should be taken off from our educational system. Of course, it benefits us to know our roots, progress and it makes us to back at what we should have done and what should not.
However, on the negative note, history instills hatred,
feeling of vengeance, feeling of betrayed, suspicion, non cooperation and so on.
Worse still, some have changed the facts of history according to their wishes and whims from time to time. This adulteration of history makes many of us have wrong and improper information. This would eventually force us to have wrong facts and impression on others and on ourselves.
Lastly I think it is better for us to think individualistic. This would reduce,if not eradicate, unnecessary indulgence on our part.

Cerita isu TERRORISM bukan isu baru. Isu ni sememangnya dah lama saya nak bangkitkan, tetapi satu isu yang bukan mudah utk dipertikaikan.
Dalam Islam, mengikut sejarah, Israel memang terkenal dan telah ditulis didalam Al Quran, mereka adalah golongan yang terpandai, tercantik dan jahat. Pernah saya mendengar cerita kawan semasa saya di luar negara, mereka bercerita kepada saya ( kawan saya bangsa Eropah ), sekiranya orang Islam berkawan baik dengan bangsa Israel, mereka memang baik tidak dinafikan, tetapi sebagai orang Islam kita boleh baik dan berkawan tapi nasihatnya kepada saya kalau seorang Islam baik macamana sekalipun dengan bangsa Israel kalau kerumahnya jangan sekali kali kamu datang dan tidur atau bermalam dirumahnya, dlm baik sifat mereka dengan kita, mereka boleh bunuh kita sekiranya kita bermalam dirumah mereka, dan mereka sanggup berbuat demikian.
Nasihat kawan saya itu banyak maksudnya, mereka ini bangsa Israel adalah bangsa yang licik dan susah dipercayai.
Saya masih lagi mencari sebab mengapa berlakunya perkara sanggup bom diri. Mengikut islam, kita diharamkan dari membunuh diri, saya masih mencari cari dan buat kajian sendiri.Saya ada buat tafsiran sendiri tapi tidak tahu samada relevan atau tidak.

There are two points I want to mention here.
First, American in reality are not independent as they are still being colonised by Jews economically and politically. It is a shame for a country claimed itself as a world police but being run administered by a small country–Israel. It also a shame for country like US which claimed itself to be a hero in fighting human rights but at the same to be number one supporter of a world terrorist country like Israel.
My second is, the quarrel among Muslim countries, especially the Arab countries in fighting their common enemy. In Palestine itself Fatah and Hisbullah cannot sit together and unite to fight Israel. If this continued, forget about fighting Israel. The Arab countries also should be blammed. They are very rich in natural resources especially but they failed to use these significant ‘weapons’ to fight agaisnt Israel and its allies like America and Western countries.
So Muslims and the Muslim countries, open you ayes and brain and seriously prepare yourselve with knowledge and strenghten your mind to face big challenge that are facing us.g

RM3 Million In IJN Coffers This Year
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 26 (Bernama) — The National Heart Institute (IJN) Foundation has collected RM3 million this year from charitable organisations, private companies and the society to help fund heart treatment for the poor.
IJN Foundation manager Alawiyah Yussof said six private companies had been making regular contributions annually while organisations and individuals contributed from time to time.
Contributors to the IJN foundation include Pfizer Malaysia, Airasia and the Tenaga Nasional Foundation.
“The contributions were not only in monetary form but also as partners in our programmes,” Alawiyah told Bernama recently.
Formed in 1995, the IJN Foundation collects funds to treat poor heart patients and to fund IJN’s research programmes.
She said the foundation was never short on funds when called upon to help and last year funded 85 patients at a cost of over RM2 million.
“Sometimes, we also help to buy additional equipment for patients.”
IJN treats three categories of patients, namely government staff or retirees, patients who could afford to pay, and those who could not afford like farmers and fishermen.
She the foundation did not receive any complaints on lack of equipment or poor service from patients or their family members.
On the deferred plan to privatise IJN, Alawiyah said the privatisation of IJN would drive away donors.
“This is because the society regards private companies as profit-driven and wholly dependent on capital expenditure,” she added.
Sime Darby Bhd was recently reported as planning to buy a 51 per cent stake in IJN Holdings Sdn Bhd, the operator of IJN.
IJN, the leading medical heart centre in the region is 99.99 per cent owned by the Ministry of Finance.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said on Dec 19 the privatisation of IJN had been postponed pending an indepth review by the relevant ministries.

KOTA SAMARAHAN, Dec 26 (Bernama) — The global economic slowdown will not affect Malaysia’s tourism industry as the country has value added products that can attract visitors, said Deputy Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Abdul Rahman Abdul Taib.
“Local tour operators need not worry over the global economic situation as Malaysia is still the destination of choice for many foreign visitors,” he added.

But my concern is, hopefully this act of terrorism will not happen in our country. So the government must always be alert at all times. If there is a slightest indication or sign that this act of terrorism is going to spark and cause havoc to our society, the government must act immediately. Prevention is better than cure. The government must apply the ISA without fear and favour and reprimand those individuals or leaders of any organizations who are inclined to stir and destablise our country in the name of democracy and freedom for their vested interest. The government must not be seen to be weak and allow some people to capitalise the situation for their own selfish action and behaviour as if they are the champion for the people.
Don’t give them any space at all if the end results could risk the security of the country.

ALOR GAJAH 27 Dis. – Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi berkata, kerajaan akan memberi perhatian dan pertimbangan yang sewajarnya bagi membantu pekebun kecil getah yang terpaksa menanggung kerugian berikutan kejatuhan harga komoditi berkenaan.
Bagaimanapun, beliau berkata, bentuk keputusan yang akan dibuat oleh kerajaan itu belum lagi ditetapkan.
“Turunnya harga getah ini adalah sesuatu yang kepada kita menjadi perkara yang penting diberi perhatian,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas melawat D-Paradise Tropical Fruit World & Aboriginal Native Village dekat sini hari ini.
Perdana Menteri diminta mengulas mengenai komoditi utama negara iaitu sawit dan getah yang mengalami kejatuhan harga sejak pertengahan tahun ini berikutan kemelesetan ekonomi dunia, menyebabkan permintaannya berkurangan.
Harga Getah Standard Malaysia (SMR) 20 umpamanya susut sebanyak 62 peratus daripada RM10.51 sekilogram pada 3 Julai lepas kepada RM3.98 sekilogram pada pertengahan bulan ini manakala bulan ini, harga getah beku di peringkat ladang paling rendah iaitu RM1.39 sekilogram.
Keadaan itu menimbulkan rungutan pekebun kecil khususnya pekebun getah yang mengharapkan kerajaan melakukan sesuatu bagi membela nasib mereka yang telah terjejas teruk.

Saya setuju dengan kenyataan Tun… bahawa penghinaan dan pencabulan hak umat Islam yang berlaku di Palestin akan terus berlaku pendek katanya hingga keakhirnya… tidak akan pernah berakhir…
Orang kata kalau kita tak boleh jumpa orang cara berdepan… kita boleh kirim salam kat orang yang hampir kepada orang yang kita tak boleh hampiri… yang mana sudah pastinya… sekutu kuat mereka…
Cara yang bijaksana harus kita gunakan…
1. Kalau negara barat boleh menekan negara Islam melalui sekatan ekonomi dan sebagainya… agar mereka mengikut telunjuknya.. kita juga boleh minta sekutu yahudi yang boleh makan pujuk untuk memberi tekanan secara dalaman ( yang terkuat sekarang pastinya ekonomi )kepada pemimpin yahudi ini… cara yang terbaik adalah serangan peribadi seberapa ramai pemimpin negara tersebut… agar tumpuan untuk menekan palestin berkurang dan pada masa yang sama pihak PBB harus melaksanakan peranan mengikut kaedah-kaedah perundangan.
2. Memperkuat suara muslim tulin dalam PBB agar dapat didengar sebagai satu suara yang mempunyai ‘kuasa’ dan bukan hanya suara yang merintih dan meminta sahaja. Disini peranan tok arab pemegang emas hitam yang boleh merubah ekonomi dunia dalam sekelip mata harus berperanan lainlah kalau tok arab ni dah tertutup matanya oleh serban yang dipakainya sendiri.Camtu mmg la sampai ke bila pun… camtu lah … dia
3. Satu lagi kalau kita tak bole lawan elok la… kita buat kawan… saya tak pasti samada orang palestin bole tak berkawan ngan orang israel… ke tak… sedangkan anjing ngan kucin pun.. boleh tumpang susu.. anak masing2.. depa kan manusia… (ka lebih teruk dari bukan manusia?) erm bukan susah sangat… sebab lelaki palestin tak dak senjata kasar nak lawan gunalah senjata peribadi hang sendiri … tak yah letup diri… cuba tackle makwe israel tu ramai2 (especially anak-anak pemimpin israel tu.. )pakat masuk Islam ramai2 pastu kalau ada rakyat palestin yang bukan muslim pun buat camtu gak… nanti kalau dah ramai sedara depa kat palestin erm.. tergamak ke di anak belasah lagi…

I’m can’t help feeling apprehensive reading the comments some of your readers have posted. What some of your readers have written here smacks of hate-mongering. Many have conveniently assumed the jihadist stance. Unite all Islamic countries, they say, and fight the enemies. For example, pakmangAuthor (December 27, 2008 12:32 PM) has told us to “THROW SHOES TO AMERICANS & EUROPEANS” whenever we meet them. Whatever happened to ‘Malays are the most gentle, tolerant and accommodating people there are’? Can we blame others for not believing us? It shows how stupid we are to hate another category of people according to the man-made rules of categorisation that we impose on them (Europeans, Americans, Jews, Arabs, Muslims, etc.). In so doing, we disregard their human qualities altogether. pakmangAuthor seems to think anyone who holds the citizenship of any European country or the USA is worthy of ill-treatment just because Bush and Blair decided to invade Iraq and Afghanistan. Why didn’t he throw shoes at himself for Pak Lah’s decision to raise the petrol price a while back, or for the Bukit Antarabangsa tragedy? If we can’t call this behaviour emotional, childish must be it. And let’s not forget the USA has picked on various victims in recent history, including communism (think Vietnam and Korea), but we didn’t hear anyone complain about it because supposedly communism carries a negative connotation. The point I want to put forth is, it is right to voice concerns against injustices done to humanity, wherever they happen and whoever they involve, but pitting one group of people against another is not the way to do it. Religion is a convenient tool to divide and manipulate people, no matter how holy you think your religion is. The moment you call yourself a Christian, a Muslim, a Buddhist, etc. you have created a barrier between people. We mustn’t call the Israel-Palestinian conflict a USA/Europe vs Arabs issue, or a Jews vs Muslims issue. It is simply a human issue.
Coming back to the issue of the Israel-Palestinian conflict, true that Israel didn’t exist before 1948, but all countries in the world today came into existence one way or another. Most involved warfare. If you decry the use of war to create a country, then every country in the world, including Islamic nations, are as guilty as Israel. The truth is, there is simply not enough Jerusalem to go around between so many Abrahamic religions, so a compromise is definitely needed. Similarly, there is simply not enough soil to go around for the number of fellow human beings, so tolerance is needed. If only the Muslims would tolerate the Jews living amidst them, and vice versa, and similarly if every human being could practise tolerance towards all other fellow human beings, then the need for national borders wouldn’t even arise. The question I want to ask your readers is, if they think they could advocate unity amongst human beings, why did they confine it to Muslims? They know full well that when they say “all Muslims must unite against their enemies”, they instantly divide humanity into two hostile factions by virtue of religious belief. This is the last thing we need in today’s world.

It came to me that we Malays are unable to govern our nation with political power. Economical power were long gone history. I am talking about average Malays. Look at Indonesia, every citizen have to use an Indonesian name and talk Bahasa Indonesia, went to the same school with Bahasa Indonesia as the prime language. So does Thailand.

Actually Mr Jamal you are right but Tun also is not wrong at all.
For me, it’s required to do some research without miss to talk about international issue as Tun did. I suggest you to search on Geneva Conferences and Camp David Accords more details. Then you know what Arabs ( Muslim countries nearby )can do or not to do and why. So you will realise the points arised by Tun through this issue later.
There is a famous arabian sheikh so called ‘ulamak’ normally to be refered for any, said it is allowed to do so ( in a certain condition – darurat or ‘no choice at all’ ) in the name of God to protect our Muslim integrity , honour and self-respected. I strongly believe he’s not the one. Thats the reason. But it is very clear in any condition is prohibited to kill kids and ladies in war. Eventually, except ladies that are proven by all mean as a ‘soldier’ to the enemies. You have to check this more details too.
If Tun positioned in PBB as a General Secretary, maybe so many things can change and to be changed with God blessing, am I right Tun ?

United Nation sepatutnya sudah tahu bahawa ketegangan pasti akan berlaku sekiranya dia mengistiharkan kuil tersebut sebagai warisan dunia. Lagipun kuil tersebut tidak kelihatan hebat.
Negara Iraq dan Afghanistan adalah antara negara mangsa perang yang diakibatkan oleh fitnah. Sumber kekayaan minyak negara tersebut dikaut sehingga kini. Serangan bom mesti sentiasa diujudkan dari masa kesemasa untuk menjadikan negara tersebut kelihatan tidak stabil dan sebagai alasan mereka untuk terus menduduki negara itu.
Osama bin Ladin mesti dibiarkan hidup dan bebas supaya lebih banyak keganasan dapt dilakukan (oleh mereka) dimasakan akan datang dan Osama (Islam) akan sentiasa akan dipersalahkan.

Salam tun, Tapi apa yang saya dengar, umat Islam kini terbahagi kepada 3 golongan : negara Islam, umat baru sperti di Barat, dan ‘penggnas’ islam. Pun begitu, mereka semuanya mempunyai satu aliran saja iaitu mengembalikan Islam ke tahapnya, yang dikenali sebagai salafi.
Jadi, ‘perjuangan’ menegakkan Islam ini dilakukan dalam pelbagai cara yang berbeza : reformasi atau penyesuaian di negara2 Islam; dakwah dan penyusupan nilai2 Islam dalam masyarakat di Barat: dan keganasan bagi pengganas.
Makskudnya, dunia kini sedang menyaksikan antara 3 golongan ini, yg mana akan berhasil. apa yang jelas ‘penggnas’ ini dikatakan telah ‘berjaya’ mewujudkan rangkaiannya di semua negara Islam, manakala di Barat, fahaman mereka (menegakkan ajaran Islam dgan yakin dan ‘berani’) semakin diterima. Malah di Asia Barat, contohnya, ramai dari tentera dan polis, juga orang ramai yang memihak kpd mereka.

We often hear muslims all over the world say – “if only there is some thing I can do the help our palestinian brothers”…some have become suporter of Osama and his like, other have donate to the suffering. But NONE have shown any real results!!!
Well Brothers and Sisters in Islam – we can each and everyone of us join in to help our brothers and sisters in Palestine.
We can do it all very easiy by being good MUSLIMS. MULSIMS who abide by the teachings of the QURAN and Prophet Muhammad SAW.
We can do this thru living our MUSLIM ecomomic and financial lifes as required of all Muslims.
We MUST Rid Riba’ from our lifes. By, using the paying of ZAKAT as the basis of our economic activity and NOT interest payment.
How can we each and averyone do it?
1) each individual abandon all avtivities that smells of interest, i.e bank loans, credit card loans, purchase on installment with interest, bonds with interest payments, etc…
2) muslim leaders must provide the infrastructure for us muslims to abandon interest payments. Goverments must withdraw the right of banks to give loans on funds they do not have in reserves. Let the creating and supply of money be the responsibility of the goverment only. Replace or convert banks to investment institutions where funds are being managed for funds owner together with enterprise for projects, business, infrastructural development,i.e. as professional project managers of funds. Where projects are run purely on RISK SHARING basis. NO such thing as sure win basis such as what the banks are allowed NOW!!! NO MORE BANKS!! but real investments institutions.
3) These investment institutions collect funds and savings and deduct the compulsory zakat; or if the owner so wishes be used for (productive economic activity),i.e. real investments on risk sharing basis.
4) The present MUSLIM BANKERS convert their banks to such investment institutions to manage fund, projects, etc…on risk sharing.
5) The Muslim business people get your financing from these investment institutions NOT the banks who charge interest.
6) The buniness people can start their own professional firm helping the investment institutions to find viable projects and manage them for the funds owners.
7) Housing, small busninesses, loans can be interest free.
8) Our poor, hard up and the 8 asnafs including education can have sufficient funds from the collected zakat!!!

In one of the books of the Christian Bible,i.e, Revelation or Apocalypse, there is a statement concerning the four horsemen of the apocalypse. One of them is the personification of terrorism. This rider is allowed by God to go forth and spread the terror around the world and in the process, killing many people, innocent or otherwise. We are in that period at present. Very soon, the Israelis will demolish the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem and on the very site they will rebuild the ancient Temple of Solomon. This is when real terror will be unleashed on the world. Unless God intervenes in human affairs, the world and its peoples will destroy the earth. Luckily, God keeps His promises so we can rest assured that this will not happen. As for the Palestinians, we can only hope that Barack Hussein Obama will do the necessary and return the land to the rightful owners. The Jews claim they are the rightful owners of the so called Promised Land. The Arabs will have to adopt Israeli citizenship and become Israeli Arabs. I don’t think there will ever be Palestinian state. This is not good for the world but it is the eventual reality of that part of the world which, in turn, will affect the entire world and lead to WW IV.

What we see today with regard to terrorism is more than what meets the eyes. I agree Tun the oppresion of the Palestinian is one of the root cause, however there’s more.
There’s been terror attacks since the 1980’s. However, the one terror attack that has change history and affect us till now is the 9/11 attack. Preemptive attack, war in Iraq, tight security at airports, racial/religous profiling, guatanamo bay, imprisonment without trial and torture are all the after effects of 9/11.
Evidence now emerging from professional reserchers such as the 911 scholars for truth movement and many more suggested that 9/11 was not carried out by so called “muslim terrorist” from a cave somewhere in Afghanistan. Rather more sophisticated and complex than that. It could even be an inside job.
But I agree that the “small” terror attack that we read every day in Palestine, iraq and etc are actions of people who are angry and frustrated with the oppresion. They have lost everything, their job, house, properties, wife and children. In another word, these are people that have nothing to loose.
I do not condone these acts of violence although I can see where it’s coming from. If the international communinties are serious about stopping terror, give the Palestinians back their rights. That will solve half of the problems at least. American please leave Iraq. Reopen the enquiry into 9/11 so that the real criminals can be brought to justice and all these tortures, imprisonments, preemtive attacks and racial profiling madness can stop.

There are many lessons in history to be learnt.
The Colonial powers of yesteryears chose the land of Palestine to house the Jews because the Jews deem themselves the sons of the soil who first occupied the holy land. Why else would they choose to be surrounded by hostile Islamic nations?
War is a crime, except when committed by ourselves, then it is a Holy War. How else did the Arabs snatch the land from the Jews if not through war? How else have the Israelis been able to defend their country if not by military might? The Israelis see defending Israel a holy mission as much as the Palestinians see it a holy mission to kick the Jews out of their land by whatever means necessary, war included. It doesn’t matter how sophisticated or crude their weapons are, war is still war.
All wars in history started because man placed their allegiance in values other than humanity. Money, religion, pride. When these get the better of us, we forget we are all humans first, then Arabs, Jews, Malay, Chinese, Indians, Muslims or Christians. As a result, we become stone-hearted towards humanity in the name of defending our wealth, beliefs and honour, to the extend that we are able to humiliate and maim other human beings and feel right about it.
If only we realise all human beings trace their lineage to a common ancestry, and that more sanctity is to be found in human life than their monetary wealth, misguided beliefs and vanity, we would learn to treat other fellow human beings with respect regardless of their skin colour, language, religion and economic status. This world would then be a better place.
Malaysians especially have a lot to learn from the conflict between Israel and Palestine. If only we learn to accept that we are all different in very small ways, but same in a big way (in that we share the same human genome), we will then learn to accept each other unconditionally as human beings instead of harping on racial, economical and religious differences.

The real reason is to rob the people of their land and its riches. It has nothing to do with religion, beliefs, liberation, human rights, democracy …
They need to justify their actions so they create a “world view” of honour, chivalry, the greater good, etc, to con the gullible.
They are the worst terrorists if we go just by the number of deaths among civilians. The term “collateral damage” is to appease their conscience, if they have one.

Pray, pray and pray harder, harder and harder to help our fellow brothers the Palestine. Not just Palestine, many rich muslim country ignored others poor muslim countries the likes of Chad. They happily invested in the European and American countries and made more fortunes. To agreed on using Dinar too will take ages to realise or it may just go to the garbage bin!. The combine Islamic population or countries will form a very big market that will create demand and supply unfortunately most of the leaders are not seeing us muslim as an UMMAT or ummah but rather as individuals!. Thousand years after Muhammad the world has progress muslim still celebrate Hari Raya on differents days and we still have Mahzabs hovering on our heads and we are proud of it. At least for one thing for sure muslim can be proud of is the first man who venture to space is a Muslim and his name is Muhammad, prophet Muhammad pbuh. He also the first man that travel on the most sopshicated travel machine that man can imagine. Now who says the Russia and American are the first in space.

It’s really amusing that one has to defend his many reasons just to quality it to be adequate in order to protect some human in some name/form, thousand has to be killed.
I’d like to raise a point regarding Palestine – at some extend, I prayed to God that the people vanished from the planet so we dont have to hear the suffering of its people due their leaders greediness. I hate people begging for help, but they themselves dont want to do anything. Then, waiting others to fight on their behalf. Damn!
Life is so difficult – many things have to taken into account for any action. But killing another life (terrorism or what ever name we have), should never be one of the choice.

You were the PM of Malaysia for two decades and at some point were Chairman of the OIC.
Tell us, did you make any attempts to unite the Muslim leaders and to take concrete and constructive actions to bring justice to the Palestinians? Or were you merely making ‘statements’ on behalf of the OIC?

Yes Tun,It is very barbaric and even an animal would not commit murder of innocent lives such as the elderly. children, women and others who have not committed any harm knowingly and unknowingly to the terrorists. The are worse than the beasts because the beast kills only for food (Just like we do remember). I would say that these are the creatures which are the direct tools of evil force.
I am very positive that no religion in this world condone to this barbaric act. If at all there is any group claiming to represent this religious group and that religious group, they are actually deviants who have misinterpreted their religion for their own or for their leader’s selfish aim. It looks like the terrorist act of violence is on the rise lately.
How to punish such terrorists if they are caught? Many would say shoot them at point blank. I beg to disagree. I feel that if they are shot at point blank. They will die quickly and die fast.
Beasts like these terrorist, who take the lives of the innocent, should be tortured for long period of time and then send them to the gallows. The act of torture of these sinners should be allowed to be witnessed by the public(So that the public will know what is in store for them if they commit murder of innocent lives).
Lastly, I would like to state that there are some so called good group of people who are no better than the terrorists mentioned above. They are known as the Economic Terrorists. Many of their victims are in Africa and in many other poor countries. It is quite difficult to detect the Economic Terrorists unlike the violent terrorists. This is because they will move with us complimented with long lasting smile and humble words. Be wary of them too.

All MUSLIMS, lets all unite and start on a journey to eradicate interest based financial system – which is HARAM riba’.
With the demise of the banking system as is, the JEW lobby can be cut down to size. This is our opportunity – the crisis in the convetional banking system has to be removed from our muslim lives. It is HARAM.

“Terrorism” is going to be a part of the world scene for a very, very long time.
In my humble opinion, “terrorism” is just the new fad word for what has always existed — the violent pursuit of power and personal interests masked as a pursuit of principles or greater good?
It’s an interesting view of the Middle Eastern conflict but in my view, there are also other factors like
1. The former colonial masters arbitrarily carving out the Middle East (and Africa) to form artificial nation states that locals hold little allegiance,
2. Events leading to the formation of Israel. Some like Ahmadinejad says the Holocaust is a work of fiction….
3. The current politics of oil
4. Along with the reasons that you’ve mentioned.
Anyway, once the oil runs out, no one will bother too much with the Middle East or Africa, I suspect.

I think rather then pointing finger to others, Islamic Countries should mirror themself.
What I can see is there is no UNITY between Islamic Countries.
There is OIC but I can’t see the unity.
If UAE, Saudi, Iran and other Gulf countries which stand by Islam stays United, do you think that Israel can pick up the land?
But whenever there is an attack against Palestine, none of the Islamic countries sending Army troops to fight against Israel.
Even Malaysia not sending their Army (Tentera Pengaman). Why?
When I give the same comment to my friend, “Whenever there is terrorist attack it’s reflect Islamic teaching”
My friend asked me “Why wanna take terrorist as an example, why don’t take Prophet as an example?”
I told him “Unfortunately, Prophet never making the headlines on news. Those who are making the headlines are terrorist”
He couldn’t get to answer more. But my point is not to hurt him or humilate Prophet.

Kita umat islam sekarang ni dalam dilemma.. sama ada hendak bersetuju atau membantah perbuatan terrorist yg dilakukan. Walaupun tujuannya ‘mulia’ tetapi mengundang padah kepada umat islam sendiri yg terpalit sama dengan gelaran ‘terrorist’ yg kian sinonim dengan islam pada kaca mata media barat.
Seharusnya kita patut bangkit dengan kesedaran kita sendiri untuk ‘refute’ perbuatan ini dan juga kita kena lebih bertindak untuk menangani punca berlakunya perbuatan ini. Saya teringat kata-kata seorang ulama’ dari Amerika, Syaikh Hamza Yusuf bagaimana orang-orang yg melakukan terrorism ini adalah ‘angry people’ yg cukup bertentangan dengan prinsip islam. Sepatutnya kita juga lebih sensitif dengan menganiayaan yg dihadapi umat islam di negara-negara barat yg di hantui penindasan kerana menganut islam. Mengebom orang ramai bukanlah salah satu penyelesaian, tetapi punca kepada fitnah yang paling besar.

Setakat kumpul dana sahaja dah jenuh dan banyak kali benar.. tapi serupa juga, Palestin masih tertindas. Sudah sampai masanya untuk menggerakkan perang saraf terhadaf Israel dengan senjata mereka sendiri iaitu media.. Soalannya siapa ndak jadi kepala?

Man has done a great deal of dis-service to each other since the beginning of time. The Israel vs Palestinian is but only one example. Besides that there are also the Sunni vs the Shiya, Iran vs Iraq in a bloody war that kills even more. All this people is killing in the name of God(Allah). Don’t think there could be a solution to these land where people greeted each other with the word Salam or Shalom meaning peace. Sad, indeed.

I think the war on terror that the US has introduced in the past few years by attacking Afganistan and the invasion of Iraq has been
a nightmare to us all.The moronic President Bush and his goverment has created a world of fear and full of terrorism.
Sometimes i wonder why country like Singapore look up to a country like the US.The current situation that is happening in US right now is actually a karma to all the killing,murders and violation of the US troops and its goverment to the innocent people of Afganistan and Iraq.I hope they will never sentence the journalist that throws the shoe to Presidents Bush earlier in the week,because deep down inside in know that the journalist is doing everbody a favour to us all.The shoe should have hit his face lah.

Keganasan…Umat islam tidak terkecuali. Saya tidak menafikan penglibatan penganut agama lain, tapi kenapakah umat Islam terlibat sama, sedangkan pengajarannya tidak sedemikian. Islam mengajak kearah keharmonian dan keselesaan kehidupan. Bumi Allah ini adalah muilik semua.
Mungkin mereka terlalu terhimpit. Mungkin mereka kecewa dan terlalu marah. Pemimpin mereka sangat bijak mengambil kesempatan untuk menyuruh umatnya yang tengah marah dan kecewa untuk meltupkan diri sendiri. Kononnya itu jihad dan masuk syurga. Mana dia ulamak-ulamak yang bijakpandai yang bisa mempengaruhi semua umat supaya kembali kepada keharmonian dan keselesaan hidup ini.
Di Malaysia..saya nampak dengan jelas, jika tidak ada pemantauan, tidak sampai 50 tahun keadaan keganasan spt yang Tun maksudkan mungkin juga akan berlaku. DiMalaysia, bukan satu perkara yang susah untuk memasangkan bahan letupan peringkat permulaan.

Thank you for the tireless highlighting of the Palestinians plight again and again.
Its almost 2009 but there is still no solution in sight for the Palestinian.
I believe this issue will continue to run forever and ever as is mentioned in Jewish Protocols chapter in “International Jew” book written by the Great American Industrialist the late Mr. Henry Ford.
Mr. Ford had already forecasted the terrible plight and the fate of the Palestinian and for that he paid the ultimate price which was the withdrawal of his popular DEARBORN INDEPENDENT News which up to the point of withdrawal had tirelessly forewarned American of impending Zionism worldwide control.
I hope Tun will also continue to fight for the Palestinian cause just as Mr. Henry Ford had done 80 years ago..

I belive that all the act of terrorism is an act of reaction due to absolute infringement of citizen’s right and the absolute invasion of the sovreignity of a muslim nation, Palestine.
I shall concur with your opinion YDK Tun that the terrorism will exist as long as Israel exist. 911 tragedy is a pure case where Islam was rigoursly branded as terrorist wherein for a fact we know that it was masterminded to create the “brand name” for muslims as terrorist.
Unfortunately, YDK Tun’s aspiration and vison to unite the Muslim countries yet to be responded positively especially amongst some arab countries due to “open secret” reasons.
