2. But alas, for the small countries of the world, there is now more fear. The great democracies of the world, headed by the United States have decided on a crusade to democratise the whole world, through violence and war where necessary.
3. I am reading Robert Fisk, a British journalist, on the great war for civilisation i.e. the war in the Middle East. In all these wars the US plays a dominant role, not as a peace maker to stop the violent conflicts between the fractious Middle Eastern and Central Asian countries but to start wars against them so as to spread democracy.
5. Israel built “settlements” on Palestinian land with impunity, ravaged Palestinian villages, seize their land and expelled the inhabitants, openly shot and kill children, destroying houses with their occupants still inside, jailed and tortured more than a thousand Palestinians without charges or fair trial, illegally blockaded Gaza, attacked foreign ships on mercy mission while in international waters, killing foreign personnel on board, refuses to allow the Palestinians to call their land Palestine but instead to refer to themselves only as the Palestinian Authority.
6. Robert Fisk describes the torture methods of the Israelis and this is confirmed by Amnesty International. These include sleep deprivation, squatting for hours, violent shaking, imprisonment in a cupboard, beatings, pressure on the genitals and exposure to heat and cold.
7. Why is Israel free to do all these dastardly things? It is because the US backs it all the way.
8. Even when the Israelis ran over an American woman with a tractor, killing her, the US did not protest.
9. Netanyahu, the Israeli PM ignored President Obama when the latter demanded that no more Israeli settlements be built. The US President had to eat humble pie and did nothing.
10. That is Palestine and the Palestine/Israeli conflict. Then when the New York World Trade Centre was destroyed apparently by Saudi Arabs, the United States invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. These two countries have been bombed and rocketed over and over again, their towns and villages razed to the ground. Innocent people were killed by the thousands.
11. There is no respect for borders. Towns and villages in Pakistan also experience missile attacks, strafing by aircrafts and bombing, again killing civilians.
12. In Iraq, the excuse for invasion is that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. A “shock and awe” blitzkrieg has killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians. Iraq was occupied by US forces but no weapons of mass destruction were found. This excuse was a blatant lie and the US has belatedly admitted it. Now Wikileaks exposed that Israelis and pro-Israelis “fixed” the intelligence that induced the US to war with Iraq.
13. In Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan the killings and the destruction are still going on. But the US is not yet satisfied with the bloodbath it has initiated.
14. The next target is Iran. After their experience in Iraq there is seemingly less inclination by the US to invade Iran. Instead the method adopted is to starve the Iranians through a siege.
15. The United Nations Security Council has not approved the siege (sanctions) of Iran but the US has enough clout, influence over the countries of the world to get them to carry out its wishes.
16. Thus if the banks of any country has any dealings with Iran, the US will disallow the bank from doing business with the US. Many other arm twisting methods are used by the US to render its siege of Iran effective. The purpose of doing this is to impoverish and create difficulties for the people of Iran allegedly because of Iran’s nuclear programme but actually to punish the Iranians for the closure of the US Embassy and the detention of its staff during the civil war. Revenge is very much a part of US foreign policy.
17. Now it is the turn of North Korea. It is the US who planned and implemented military exercises in waters close to North Korea. The idea is to threaten that already poor country to submit to the US.
18. Provoked, the North Koreans fired at the South Korean island in the narrow strait between it and South Korea where the military exercise is being conducted. And then the Western media condemns North Korea for this when it was in fact America which provoked North Korea into firing their guns.
19. Presidents of countries are not safe from arrest by the US. President Noriega of Panama is now languishing in an American jail. Now President Omar Bashir is being sought by America after the International Criminal Court found him guilty in a trial in which he was not defended.
20. President Salvador Allende of Chile was assassinated through the machinations of the CIA because he was a Marxist, even though he was elected by the Chileans.
21. Nicaragua had its harbour mined by the US in 1984. The United States was found guilty by the International Court. The other countries of South America live in fear of the US.
22. In the Far East the US ensured the enmity between Japan and China is perpetuated and heightened. Rapprochement between Germany and France was possible but not between Japan and China. The US opposed the formation of the East Asia Economic Group.
23. A policy of containment of China is urged on all the countries of South East Asia. Lately the US wants to be involved in the dispute over the islands of the South China Sea. For the US the dispute provides an opportunity to involve South East Asian countries in the encirclement of China.
24. It is clear that the US is seeking to make war against the small nations of the world. The US is willing to kill hundreds of thousands of people in order to spread its influence and domination.
25. No country in the world dares to condemn the US for its bullying of small weak countries.
26. Everywhere in the world US Embassies have to be fenced and guarded. Everywhere there would be demonstrations against the US. The country is the most hated nation in the world.
27. The US should be the leading nation in the world, abiding by the decisions of the United Nations, helping the poor and the weak, enriching the world with its technology and generally creating a better world by upholding non-violent ways of settling disputes between nations.
28. It is sad that the US has chosen the ugly way just for the sake of Israel. It is sad that a country which preaches human rights, justice and freedom is the country which is most guilty of breaching all the high values that it preaches.
29. Obama, with all his promises of change has changed nothing about US warlike ways and disregard for international norms. Clearly changes of Presidents, of parties forming Governments of the US will change nothing concerning US creed and policies.
30. The capacity of the US to learn from its experiences is almost nil.
31. The world will have to be reconciled with having the most powerful country in the world remaining addicted to the gun which won it the West in the past. This great democracy is anything but democratic in its relationship with the world community.

I am ten years behind you, sir, so maybe it is us older men that can see more clearly the inefficiencies of the USA.

On the subject at hand, the only solutions, albeit, highly improbable but not impossible to achieve, are FIRSTLY, that all muslim-led countries particularly the Arab world must unite and share their strength to fight ALL MUSLIM TERRORISTS whoever and wherever they are.( ” MUSLIM TERRORIST” has to be defined with a definition common to all ).SECONDLY, All muslim-led countries must have a unified common market front for everything , be it in finance, economy, commodities etc virtually everything under the syariah principle with a single islamic currency such as DINAR backed by GOLD bullions or better. THIRDLY, all these muslim countries must endeavour in every field together and share their knowledge and findings together , whether it is on education, research, science and technology, medical, agriculture, weoponry etc for their people under a common syariah system. In other words irrespective of each of their diverse nature, these muslim countries have a common syariah system that can make them work together as a single but bigger force vis-a-vis the rest of the world. Only then USA, Israel,Europe and all the big boys will know how to be humble and stop being bullies. As it is , it is just wishful thinking on my part, but still,the idea is worth mulling over.

I conclude that if the Palestinian people become the “love your neighbour” and “love your enemy” people, the US and other peace-loving country will surely help them to achieve what they aspire to achieve.
But if they start shooting rockets at their neighbour, and if Obama helps, his administration will become a lame duck due to public outcry, and he might even lose his presidency.
The extremists know this all too well.
So they hijack the peace process by shooting at the other side from time to time. (The extremists also include the Zionist extremist, who killed Rabin).
Therefore, both sides must have the wisdom to restrain themselves not to retaliate if the unexpected happens. Otherwise, they will fall into the trap set by their respective extremists.

USA has become a great world BULLY since the fall of USSR. It is obvious that ISRAEL has the hands behind all these. What else can we expect?

Dear Tun Dr. Mahathir,
1- As a country governed by Muslim majority, it is expected that Malaysia support other Islamic states including Iran in response to US call for sanctions.
2- Regarding to paragraph 15, Malaysian banks have banned (apparently by BNM’s circulars) any direct banking with Iranian banks including basic facilities such as LC and TT which is considered crucial for maintaining trading between the two countries.
3- Small amounts of TT for the living and education costs of increasing Iranian students in Malaysia are not allowed to be transferred from Iranian banks due to the US embargos. Their application to open accounts in some banks are rejected. I myself faced the same experience in EON Bank.
4- Malaysia has stopped selling petrol to Iran although it was denied by Malaysian authorities at first. We all know that petrol consumption has nothing to do with Iranian nuclear and missile programmes and the sanction is designed to directly cripple whoever lives in Iran.
5- The question is which side does Malaysia support in the real world? Muslim states or US?

Janji ALLAH itu benar, maka hendaklah kita bersedia rohani jasmani dan bertawakkal dengan ikhlas dan sepenunya. Akan bangkit ISLAM bila tiba masanya dan jangan cuba kita mentamsilkan dengan akal yang cetek ini bagaimana bangkitnya ISLAM itu nanti. Ingatlah ALLAH AMAT BERKUASA. Andainya kita diserang maka wajiblah kita berperang mempertahankan AGAMA, BANGSA DAN NEGARA dan INSYAALLAH pertolongan ALLAH bersama-sama orang yang benar.
Pada masa ini kita diuji dengan perpecahan kerana perebutan kuasa, maka rugilah kedua-dua pihak. Bukanlah perjuangan memartabatkan bangsa itu salah tetapi hendaklah bangsa itu berAGAMA. Tiadalah benar perjuangan menegakkan AGAMA yang menolak bangsa kerana ianya melawan fitrah kehidupan kita yang dilahirkan berbangsa-bangsa. Usahlah kita keliru dalam kekalutan ini kerana semua ini benihnya adalah sistem demokrasi ciptaan orientalis laknatullah. Usahlah kita memperdagangkan AGAMA untuk keuntungan dunia yang sementara ini kerana kita akan berada dalam kerugian yang nyata di akhirat nanti. Jadilah kita UMAT ISLAM BANGSA MELAYU yang bijak menilai antara kaca dan permata. Kembalilah kepada kalimah SYAHADAH atas segala makna makninya agar selamat kita semua dunia akhirat. Like many I also believe US has openly abused the principle of democracy, thus, shd be labelled as highly undemocratic country.
On the other hand I see comments that seem to show US is waging war against Islam that I am not sure. Busy with everyday life activities sometimes I read other people’s comment to help me see better. However, I usually when believe in something will put the believe into test by criticizing myself. If it passes then I will believe better.
Can someone tell me why US does not attack M’sia or Brunei that are Islamic countries. Is it because M’sia do not arm herself heavily and less known to be extremist? What are the points that make a country labelled as extremist? I am by no means favour US, just want to see things fair before I develop hatred towards anyone.

From the contributions here, there are many who are against the US, the easily labeled tyrant of the world. In almost all war theater, the US is somehow involved in it. But if hypothetically that the US is a neutral country, say like the Swiss. They stayed away from all conflicts. Just minding their own business. Okay, now comes Iraq who have suddenly woke up and decided that Kuwait was theirs and its time to take it back by hook or by crook. Now, Iraq encroaches into Kuwait, and take over the country. Now, could this be resolved by the UN? Could anyone else beside the US step in and fight for the people of Kuwait? Arabs? Iran? The arch enemy of Iraq?
If the US were not there to waste their citizen’s lives in Vietnam..and the communist party decided they too want to take over Thailand, and then perhaps Malaysia.. Who in this region that time would have the capability, resources, and intelligent to protect the 3rd.world countries like Thailand and Malaysia?
What about Afghanistan? Which the main export is cannabis and drugs, and oppressions of its citizens is a daily ritual. Should the world just close an eye and just kept to themselves, and consider it as their way of live and should not interfere?
The article here is not meant to be worshipping the US and how great a tyrant they are..but hypothetically, will the world be a safer place, more peaceful, more dialogues etc.. if there’s no US involvement? Would Malaysia be what it is now if there’s no business ties with the US..and perhaps trading with only with its Asean countries. Will Asean countries prosper within its own community? Without the US or Euro economies, will the yet to be formed Asean Community Council (ACC) strong enough economically and monetories independent ?
Anyway, we have spent too much time criticizing the US here. We spent most of our time studying and researching on the US’s policies and its actions and what’s not, that we failed to see or wanting to see what if there’s no US in that scenario. Will it neighboring countries respect each others enough that they do not spend monies on warfare tools? Like the north and south Korea conflicts. Without US’s presence, will the north practice restrains?
Why are we buying submarines? Why the MIGs, Falcons, etc.. to fight pirates? It will be an obsessively overkill expenditure.
If for instance China is the world policeman here, will Malaysia accept China’s military might as genuine and that its economic investment in Malaysia is purely business and not some Sun Tzu strategies for future conquering of the world?
Let’s face it, we live in the world of un-trust. And with un-trust, we see each other as a potential enemy of the country. And over time, when such un-trust grew, more and more affected countries begins to arm themselves. One country after another. And in the end, everyone is standing on their toes, or DEFCON 1. Any slight encroachment into the boarder line could spark a world war. No? Let’s think it could and happened. Could the conflicts be resolved thru the UN? Will every countries subscribe to the decision made in the UN?
Well, lets’ ponder for awhile.. Who beside the US could take over what it is currently doing? Perhaps there are none such role, and the Iraq encroachment into Kuwait is happening. Will the Arabs’ league meet and be able to “tame” Saddam who by history showed that Kuwait belongs to Iraq?

Why don’t Pyongyang launch a strike on American warship instead of shelling South Korea’s island if indeed the U.S is trying to meddle in the Korean affairs? Or in your opinion does the U.S not acknowledging South Korea’s sovereignty until Seoul has to stage a military exercise because the U.S tell them to do so? For your information, the U.S army too had hold joint-military exercises with Malaysian arm forces as an effort to counter terrorism. So, what’s the big deal if the South Korea-U.S military drill was actually a preemptive measure against possible threat?

There are many “indexes” being created and published around the world. There is the Transparency Index by Transparency International, the Corruption Index, the University Rankings, the Poverty Index and many others. The writer’s view can’t be taken seriously at all as he is not Malaysian living among us that can understand the complex situation we have in this country. I am not too sure whether you are Malaysian or not. But obviously the writer is a LKY fan. LKY to me is a great leader and he has done a lot for Singapore. However Tun Mahathir is also a great leader. He has done a lot for Malaysia. We can’t compare LKY with Tun as two of them are leaders of different countries with different challenges. Malaysia and Singapore is not the same. Malaysia with Malay majority and Singapore with Chinese majority. There are so many differences. I am a new Muslim convert that have spent most of my life overseas. I married a Malay lady who has done wonders to educate me on Islam. Contrary to the universal Islamic teachings that I picked up overseas, in Malaysia Muslims are not allowed to think for themselves. There is no freedom of worship in Malaysia despite claims to the contrary. Islam is controlled by restricted views of religious authorities which are controlled by either UMNO or PAS who use it as a means of controlling the Malays and to achieve power.
I call it restricted as to the religious authority, the only acceptable school of thought is only Shafie where in other Muslim countries there is no restriction.
There is Maliki, Hanafi, Shafei, Hambali and Ja’afari. These 5 school of thoughts are recognised by major ulamas who issue fatwas in Egypt, Syria and even our neighbour Indonesia.
I present below various fatwas from other countries in an effort to call for revision of the restricted religious enactment that restrict our school of thought to just Ahlus Sunnah’s Shafei.
As the following fatwas suggest, Ja’afari followers are also Muslims the aqidah on Allah, Rasul, Quran, Malaikat, Day of Judgement does not differ.
However, the mainstream media of Malaysia loves to downgrade the intellect of Muslims by highlighting false propaganda and depictions of other Muslim school of thoughts due to sheer ignorance.
The propaganda quoted on Syiah was absolutely atrocious and not based on actual tenets of the Syiah (Ja’afari) school of thoughts at all. It is the media who have divide and belittle Muslims and tarnish the universality of islam due to sheer ignorance and ‘jumud’ thinking.
Again, I call for support to review the religious enactment that restrict the school of thoughts for Muslims and to stop the mainstream media front constantly defying Muslims intellect by stating facts than false claims or opinions, for example by one Datuk Ahmad Khusnin that appeared in the papers last few days.
The fatwas from ulama of other countries on Muslim school of thoughts:
Quoting the Sheikh of Al Azhar, Syaikh Al-Akbar Mahmud Syaltut:
“Islam tidak menuntut seorang Muslim untuk mengikuti salah satu mazhab tertentu. Sebaliknya, kami katakan: setiap Muslim punya hak mengikuti salah satu mazhab yang telah diriwayatkan secara sahih dan fatwa-fatwanya telah dibukukan. Setiap orang yang mengikuti mazhab-mazhab tersebut boleh berpindah ke mazhab lain, dan bukan sebuah tindakan kriminal baginya untuk melakukan demikian.”
Quoting another Sheikh of Al Azhar, Syaikh Al-Akbar Mahmud Syaltut:
“Mengenai isu perselisihan pendapat antara Ahli Sunah Wal Jamaah dan Syiah, beliau berkata, selagi semua pihak berpegang kepada akidah yang sama, mengakui kerasulan Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. dan semua nabi serta mengiktiraf sahabat-sahabat Rasulullah, perbezaan yang berlaku itu tidak harus menjadi punca perpecahan.
Bagi saya tiada bezanya antara Ahli Sunah dan Syiah kerana kedua-duanya masih berpegang kepada akidah yang satu dan kita semua tetap bersaudara.

I feel that the best way to protect ourselves is to acquire or learn as much as possible the latest defence (or offence) technologies from countries like Iran, Pakistan, Russia and North Korea. I believe in peace but knowing how the USA and Israel act in killing everybody with impunity, I think it is definitely NOT wrong to acquire nuclear technology NOT for only the purpose of peace but also for war. As what the US’s favourite war cry states – you have to go into offence in order to defend yourself. Therefore, small countries MUST equip themselves with, dare I say it….yes….nuclear-capability to strike back (or first strike/pre-emptive strike depending on how we look at it).
As can be witnessed throughout the years, a country will be attacked regardless if that country has WMDs or not. So knowing that a country will be attacked anyway, why not equip ourselves with the latest defence technologies from the so-called “rogue countries”? There is no denying the fact that Iran, Pakistan and North Korea have advanced defence (or offence) technologies so we need to acquire or learn from them albeit very discretely.
One more thing, we should not forget our jungle-fighting capability (we were reputedly to be among the best jungle-fighting force in the world as shown by the fact that we whacked the hell out of the communists). Just in case if any country has funny ideas about conquering us like Iraq, we may have to be prepared to fight from the jungle – which I believe has always been our forte. But then again, we still need to prepare ourselves with the latest defence technologies (like nuke-capable offence technologies) as a deterrent to some countries who have funny ideas about “regime change”.

The Quran declares of such people that they have a status akin to cattle.
Praise be to Allah Most High through Whose Kindness Surah al-Kahf and the Modern Age is now published. May He bless this humble work to reach Muslims in many parts of the world. May it assist them to grow closer to the Qur’an and to this Surah – especially every day of Jum’ah when the Surah is to be recited for protection from the Fitnah of Dajjal. May it refresh their memory of the meaning of the Surah and, more importantly, constantly deepen their understanding of the Surah. Amin!

30. The capacity of the US to learn from its experiences is almost nil.
31. The world will have to be reconciled with having the most powerful country in the world remaining addicted to the gun which won it the West in the past. This great democracy is anything but democratic in its relationship with the world community.
1. Comparing living in a world community to living in a normal urban community, if any member of our community have an arsenal of weapons way beyond self defense capability and loiter around our own backyard, we would be extremely nervous.
2. Superpowers of the world over-equip themselves as a normal routine. And some of them, such as the US, believes in propagating their ideas through warheads. Us small countries shiver at the thought of possible use of these monstrous weapons.
3. Maybe we all should go back to stick and stones, but superpowers will never yield to such an idea. The great wars of mankind is both territorial and ideology. Weapons are actually used to protect ideologies, not people. That is why the killing of civillians is deemed “inevitable”. As one biologist said, we are probably the only spieces which kill each other because of ideology.
4. Since superpowers all have superweapons, and that is the prevalent thinking, mankind is doomed. However i believe a flicker of hope remains if all of us who believe in civil freedom demands that weaponry be kept to a minimum and asks that these super governments destroy all of their own weapons of mass destruction and highly lethal assault weapons.
5. If super majority of people control governments, again there is hope as most poeple will not want war, especially those who have been in, or have witnessed one. However, history teaches us that it is possible to have a situation where most people in a country wants war. But i think these people are talking of war not in their own backyard. I think they would not even agree to war excercises being conducted in their own backyard, let alone a real war. Education is perhaps the best way to convince people war is bad for our health.
6. I am of the opinion that a weapon strong enough to kill an elephant or a whale is big enough for mankind. Anything more capable i suspect would surely not be for food.
7. Science gave birth to nuclear energy. It can be said then that Science gave birth to the nuclear bomb. My own fear is that it is possible for science to be pregnant again, this time with an energy form of galactic proportions. I love it when people tell me such a feat is not possible.
8. Sure, it will solve the world’s energy crisis. But we can also predict how fast it will extinguish manknd.
9. There is series on National Geographic last month about the planet earth without people. There is also a school of thought that global warming is actually a normal and natural occurence preluding the next ice age ( it is perhaps accelerated a bit by our own fossil based emissions, but is nothing compared to Karakatau vomit ). It makes one think.
10. I therefore request, as an entirely defensless human being, that all these superpeople in superpowers persuade their population to focus on how to bring mankind to survive the next ice age ( rather than how best to kill most people in the fastest manner). The world’s energy crisis is but a simple barbeque problem compared to the ice-age.
11. I honestly think in the summer after the next ice-age, mankind may no longer be around.
12. I was very ashamed when the majoriy of US citizens supported the Afgan and Iraq wars. I am ashamed as a human being.

The State of Israel was declared in 1948, and traces its historical and religious roots to the Biblical Land of Israel, a concept central to Judaism since ancient times. The human mind has an amazing propensity to twist and turn. And as humans, we are all part and parcel of this. Nearer home, we have Ketuanan Melayu, even as the Prophet in his Last Sermon reminds Muslims in no uncertain terms that there is no race superiority: “All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action.”.
Of all of the Islamic teachings, we decide that eating pork is the greatest sin (even though Muslims are allowed to eat pork under extenuating circumstances), and that corruption, abuse of power, election rigging, and racial discrimination are all lesser sins.
Why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Maybe it is time for us to take a good look at our ownselves so that we may know if we are actually a part of all these insanities.

May I suggest two things:
There are many “indexes” being created and published around the world. There is the Transparency Index by Transparency International, the Corruption Index, the University Rankings, the Poverty Index and many others. May I suggest that the Perdana Global Peace Foundation develop an “Aggression Index”.
An Aggression Index can be developed by using various measures like:
i. no of troops a country maintains outside its borders
ii. military bases outside its borders
iii. military presence in other countries
iv. military occupation in other countries
v. disregard for UN Resolutions
vi. use of prohibited weapons
vii. amount of money spent on weapons
viii. Weapons research
ix. no of people killed and maimed directly by weapons made in a country
x. people killed and maimed by weapons originating from a certain country etc.
The criteria must be easily identifiable, objective and robust. Then every year the Perdana Global Peace Foundation can publish this Aggression Index. I will be glad to help in this area.
The second point is that we must use the psychologically disturbing term ‘shedding human blood’. Instead of saying ‘the United States and other countries must not resort to wars as a policy option’ we must say ‘the United States and other countries must not resort to shedding human blood as a policy option’.
Firstly this is telling the truth. They are shedding human blood. Secondly, recently I heard an American professor using sanitised terms like ‘war of necessity’ and ‘war of choice’ to describe American adventurism overseas. It should be ‘shedding human blood out of necessity’ and ‘shedding human blood out of choice’. The professor flinched when I pointed this out to him. Sometimes we have to put things in a proper pespective before people can understand what they are really doing. They are shedding human blood.

I am glad I am retired now and can enjoy reading their books more often. Occasionally, scribbling few paragraphs together.

The U.S. is but a drone. In Pakistan more than 700 civilians have been killed by more than 100 drone missiles. High tech weaponry is used to kill innocent people.
Counting those in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and other countries thousands of people have been droned. What more with their ground and air assaults in their so-called war against terrorism hundreds of thousands of human beings have been decimated.
To include the maimed, human displacement, property, infrastructure and environmental destruction, the tragedy by the war-mongrel is colossal. This is the true collateral damage of democracy.
Democracy is satanified defined. Human has no value. The U.S. is crusader state, killer of Muslims. The axis-of-satan is theirs.

We shld all be like China. Be strong, large, full of resources, money abundant & most importantly, united. Then turn a deaf ear to others. And whatever others say of you, they will not bother you at all.

Mungkin dlm masa depan terdekat China akan menjadi ruas kepada buku Amerika Syarikat (AS). Sekarang ini AS amat tidak senang melihat pengaruh china semakin mantap di dunia, terutama di Amerika Latin [Brazil, Venezuela dsb] dan di Afrika.
Selain itu, pengaruh China atas matawang AS semakin ketara. Mungkin tidak berapa lama lagi AS akan diajar oleh temadun tua ini bahawa senjata bukan sahaja yg meletup2 dan bukan semua peperangan dimenangi dengan keupayaan untuk memusnah. Bak kata pepatah china,’jika kita duduk lama di tepi sungai, tentu nanti kita akan lihat mayat musuh2 kita hanyut ke hilir!. Nampaknya China [dengan slow & steady] memang mempraktikkan peribahasa dia. 😀

I am particularly sad when Israel continue to build illegal settlement is now actively perusing a one state solution by not negotiating for peace with the Palestinians.
The Palestinian issue must not be seasonal trend where once we donate or help the Palestinians then we consider the issue closed as we did our part to help them. Muslims and their countries must constantly continue to help the Palestinians on a daily basis until victory is achieved for the Palestinians.
We talk about how the Muslim nations are not united. We read how Egypt closed its borders to the Palestinians so that the Palestinians are starved and do not have access to food and medicals. We read how Turkey allowed the US to use its base to attack Iraq and kill hundred and thousands of Iraqis. We read how the US used Muslim Pakistani soldiers to track and kill the mujaheddin of Afghanistan who the US consider as terrorists. We lament at why Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries who have large oil reserves are reluctant to use oil as a weapon.
It is not as simple as the Muslims must be united. If we do a careful study on history we will understand as to why the Muslims are as they are. For example, how did the Islamic Ottoman Caliphate in Turkey fall? Who caused the fall? Was it due to Kamal Mustapha Attaturk? Who is he? What is his ties with the US and the British?
Another important event was how was the royal Saudi formed? What was the history behind it? As far as I can remember, since the days of the prophet there was no royalty?
How was Israel formed? What was the Balfour declaration? Who actually caused world war 2?
How was the United Nations formed? What is the actual function of the United Nations?
All these events, if one were to study in greater detail, seem to be connected. It is part of greater scheme.
If we are to understand how these events fit into this greater scheme, then we would understand that the next step of this greater scheme is the complete takeover of Jerusalem by Israel and in the long run, the whole Middle east.
That is why the Palestinians are made to suffer. They are in the way of this greater scheme. The same goes for Iran, since Iran is an obstacle to Israel for total control of the Middle East.
The US President can do nothing. The Muslim nations and its leaders can do nothing. ‘They’ have planned this so well to make everyone else powerless. As Tun have stated during the OIC Meeting before you step down as Prime Minister, they are are the ones who is pulling the strings behind the shadows. They make others kill and die for them.
How do we stop them? Muslims must go back to the Al-Quran and As-Sunnah. We must remember we are all brothers. We must remember we have a duty to protect all Muslims. We must remember the world is only temporary, if we betray our Muslim brothers, then we will be answerable to Allah in the hereafter. We must not sell our faith for worldly materials to kow tow to the enemies of Islam.

It is G-d the Almighty who protect-th them, the group of weak people who follow the “love your enemy” and “love your neighbour” commands. Otherwise they would have been wiped out of this planet because they aren’t supposed to fight any war. How? How G-d Almighty protect-th them? Through His trusted people. Now we see why the US is their proxy.
Now, if the multipolar system is the future, where everybody will have the nuke, that will be a bleak future. Not every nation on Earth can be trusted with the nuke. Can we trust so many world leaders with the nukes? That’s why the present nuke powers must guard the recipe prudently.
The US has a good system of choosing, monitoring and impeaching their leader. That should be good enough to ensure long term stability.
Or else, the other rougue nations can easily be influenced by the other “force” and nobody will survive a future world war, which will signal the end time.
To delay the end time, we can only pray for wisdom and good reasoning guided by G-d, and keep the peace for as long as we could.

China to lease N.Korea islands
2. TOKYO – CHINA is planning to lease two North Korean river islands on its border with the isolated country to set up free trade zones and tourism, Japan’s Asahi Daily reported on Friday.
3. China plans to build factories to make beverages and other products, while North Korea would vacate the islands on the Yalu River and relocate the 1,000 households there, but would then provide workers for the factories, it said.
4. China plans to kick off the project in May after it acquired the rights to use the land for 50 years and continued with talks to extend the lease period to 100 years, the newspaper said, citing unnamed Chinese sources.
5. One of the islands, which Chinese call Huangjinping, is about 11 sq km and is separated by a narrow waterway from the jurisdiction of the Chinese city of Dandong in Liaoning province.
6. The other island, about 12 sq kmin size and further north, is called Heihua in Chinese. They are located in the Yalu River, also known as the Amnok River, the English-language Asahi Daily said.
7. North Korean leader Kim Jong Il apparently discussed the island development plan with Chinese leaders when he visited China earlier this year. — AFP

Open skies talks to take off
JAPAN plans to kick off talks for broad ‘open skies’ pacts with South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia, hoping to further liberalise air travel with them by early 2012. — PHOTO: AFP
TOKYO – JAPAN on Friday said it plans to kick off talks for broad ‘open skies’ pacts with South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia, hoping to further liberalise air travel with them by early 2012.
Open skies agreements allow airlines from countries that sign them more freedom in setting their flight routes and deciding numbers of passengers and cargo flights.
Japan will start two days of talks with South Korea on Tuesday ‘as part of our efforts to strike open skies accords with major Asian countries by March 2012,’ a transport ministry official said.
Similar talks are scheduled with Singapore on Jan 17 to 19 and with Malaysia on Feb 22 to 24, the official said.
Japan has so far signed open skies accords with 10 countries and regions, including the three Asian countries named – but the deals exclude the Narita and Haneda airports, Tokyo’s dual gateways.
‘The upcoming negotiations will cover Narita but not Haneda as the capacity of Haneda is quite tight,’ the official said. — AFP

Superb article, I rate this as one of the best of the many excellent works that I’ve read of yours.
I predict USA will soon focus on South East Asia to create trouble in our immediate region and then convince Singapore to allow them to set up a base there, plus conduct military ‘exercises’ and intimidate us next. For some queer reason, I have a gut feeling that their guns are trained on Malaysia. The move will be made after the next general election as they expect instability to reign in the period soon after the next general election. Look at how arrogantly Singapore is behaving in response to the recent leaked comments on Wikileaks. Its not what they said about Anwar, its what they said about PM Najib. This is the launch of the first verbal ‘attacks’. Clearly shows they have no qualms about being unfriendly or even outwardly hostile to Malaysia, their closest neighbor. Non Malay Singaporeans, both Indians and Chinese alike openly equate themselves to Israel. They say Israel is a tiny non Muslim population surrounded by Muslim countries just like Singapore. I wonder what extent they will go to in order to be like Israel. We must stay alert and always remain prepared to defend our territory, integrity and honor.

I have a little opinion on China-Japan relationship.
In the west, history books cannot be changed easily. Without archeological findings, certain facts hardly find their ways into the text books.
In the east, history books can be amended for polical agendas.
In the west, Willy Brandt knelt before the victims.
In the east, the Japanese PMs knelt before the WWII aggressors (take a look at the newspaper these few days), and bowed before the A-grade war criminals.
In the west, the holocaust was acknowledged.
In the east, the Nanjing massacre is brushed off.
Now, the problem is not as simple as “due to U.S. interference”.
Concerning the Israel-Palestine hardship.. the remedy has been to “love your G-D with all your heart and all your soul”, and to “love your neighbour as yourselves”, and if all these fail, to “love your enemy”, for the them to solve their problem.
Yet, millenia have passed yet they are still struggling.
Looks like the common solution to all these struggling, be it for the peoplein the Middle East or North East, are the same. Definitely “retaliation” is not the solution, as it is from the opposite camp. The President of S.Korea is indeed a remarkable man.

I am not sure which incidence took place first, whether they had the military exercise first or North Korea launched the bombs (or missiles?) first. Different media might say different things. So it was unfair for me to say the western media were biased.
Let’s say the military exercise took place first. Did that give North Korea the legitimacy to bomb other people’s country or territory?
For instance, two families argued over things. One took a knife and killed the daughter. Who would be at fault? Should we blame the family who lost the daughter?
As to American’s behaviour. I am no expert in theology, international relations or practices. But I do know that if the American did not get themselves involved in Vietnam and weakened communist forces, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, perhaps Indonesia could be under communist rule now. But, why did the American want to be so stupid and sent so many of its young people to die in a foreign land. Yet we who live here don’t even appreciate that anyway.
Many centuries ago, one camp (led by Abraham Lincoln? pardon my history knowledge.. our history book focused too much on local history) who were involved in the civil war in America fought over the liberalization of the black slaves. Why would they want to fight for the minority rights? Why were they so stupid? Now see what happen, Obama who is a black fought with them for the presidency.
The number of people died in Germany and Japan during WWII due to America (or vice vers) is enormous. But still these countries love the Americans. Their constituions are based on the American’s and this led to their political stability and condusive economical environment. Why was the American so stupid as to let them copy their constitutions and, see what happen now.. they compete with the Americans for trades, jobs.. Why were the Americans so stupid?
Why do the Americans let us copy their inventions, the light bulbs.. the internet.. the TVs.. the airplanes.. all these could be kept secret since they can be used by their enemies against them one day, they might as well keep all these as military secret and use it for their national interests.. Why were they so stupid??
Have they not learnt form history?
Now let’s look at ourselves. What is our contribution to humanity.
Do we have a defining moment as to bring goodness to humanity, before we can offer any good advice to others?
Our mentality is such that, some of us even want the minorities to take air asia “and go back”. (actually I am amused and am sure the minorities are mature enough to take this as a joke.. i would rather choose to uphold freedom of speech in this case.. but that’s my personal opinion).

It is true that the western media is biased in some aspects for their national interests. But only at times.
How about us.. I watched news from certain TV stations and found that they only reported things that are in favour of certain political parties, but neglected the others. At times, they pick out of context certain parts of the speeches made by the opposition parties to make them look silly.
Thanks to Tun again for the satellite TV initiatives, and the internet, I just think that those controlled media are making fools out of themselves. Malaysians are modern and mature enough to judge which TV stations and newspaper belong to which quarters. To continue doing things the old way will only have a negative impact on the intended results.
As for point 27, yes, indeed, the US has been the leading nation in the world which helps the poor and the weak, enriching the world with its technology and settling disputes between nations. (or else I would not be sitting here writing these messages using the keyboards and internet). I think many of us survive heart-attack, diabetes, AIDS, cancers etc.. due to the innovations and new medicines invented by the people of that country.
I still remember Clinton tried to settle the issues in the Middle East. They did try anyway. I also remember how the rich in that country pledge to donate major portion of their wealth to the charity cause. Not many nations around the world have such people.
Every country has good and bad people. We can only gauge a country by the good deeds done by the majority of its people, and by the major milestone events that the country has contributed to the world.
As for the other smaller number of unfortunate events, the people will decide their government (and of course, the people must have the correct moral standards and fear God), based on God’s guidance, facts and reasoning.
That’s why freedom of speech and discussions are very important to bring things back to the positive equilibrium. Some would say our country has this, or else why would some of us be so vocal in Tun’s blog. But, I vividly remember Mr. A said during a debate with one of the ministers, that he only had that one chance, and it turns out to be true, because after that, the tv stations no longer broadcast events like that anymore.
Let’s refer to our neighbour. During election times, they even allow the opposition parties to be on tv and make their case for certain amount of time. The time given is equal for every party, including the ruling party.
How about in the US. Their leaders need to debate in TV, so that the people decide which leaders and policies they want to vote for.
Tun, we have been pointing our fingers to the wrong directions. We have to look at the bigger picture, to gauge whether a country is right or wrong. Their leaders and governments can be wrong at times, but the most important thing is, they have the mechanism in place to correct the wrongs.
North Korea and Iran.. needless to elaborate more. You may ask some of those people in this country what went wrong and they would tell you all (of course provided they trust you but I doubt so since you seems to have good relations with their leaders). Nothing much to do with the US.

The video shots of a 5 years boy with his father unarmed squating against the edge of a wall taking covers from the israel bullets is still fresh in my mind. Eventhough his father begged to stop firing but they still kept on firing. After several minutes the boy was hit and died on the spot.
The suspension of the hotel muslim staff was no big issue.
I find all above points, proves your opinion towards USA is biased or upto a level of hatred against Americans.

So he solved the old Malay Dilemma of been poor in the head. Now there is a new dilemma. The Malays have memory loss.
