So through this process the Quran has become a very authentic book with only one version of it in the entire world.So to the hafiz of 1400 years ago we owe our deepest gratitude for the preservation of this holy book of the Muslims the Al Quran .
But situation now has changed .In this 21st century the Quran has already been compiled with millions of copies already available in the world and you can even find it easily on the internet, is there any more need to memorize the whole Quran?Did God ask us to memorize the whole of the Quran?Is this productive work?Did not God ask us to study the Quran instead? How can these hafiz,memorizers of the Quran help bring glory to Islam again….Mr Wajaperak,please enlighten me on these without using queer metaphysical arguments.

Sebagai seorang tua yang berusia macam Tun saya nampak Masyarakat dan Kerajaan kita tak banyak sediakan program untuk yang berusia emas. Antara golongan yang berupaya masih boleh bersama keluarga berceria tapi ramai yang miskin atau kekurangan dianggap sebagai sampah!
Apakah orang tua betul jadi tak berguna untuk negara?
Banyak contoh aktviti-aktiviti di lain negara menyambut baik orang berusia dengan program-program supaya mereka tidak ditinggalkan tetapi
menteri-menteri kita di sini hanya cakap saja. Mereka hanya kata selepas tahun 2012 berapa berpuluh peratus akan berusia tinggi untuk Malaysia tetapi cakap saja tiada perancangan berikut.
Adakah orang tua hilang kebolehan apabila meningkat usia?

3. After reading what Raja Petra has written on “Malaysia-U.S. Defense Cooperation: The Untold Story”, I see nothing to be angry at or nobody to be angry with.
4. Unlike its relation with Israel, Malaysia has a diplomatic relationship with the USA. This includes trade relation and defense cooperation. Malaysia does cooperate with the USA when it comes to joint military trainings. In fact, some joint trainings are done with the presence of Australian and Thais troops. Joint military trainings are common among nations around the world.
5. However, Malaysia takes its stance when it comes to certain matters. For instance, Malaysia has disagreed on the USA’s interference in securing the Strait of Malacca from pirates and terrorists. Likewise, Malaysia has also condemned the US invasion of Iraq. The ability of the country in voicing its words courageously has made it become well-respected by other third world countries.

Untuk pendekkan cerita, sewaktu membahaskan usul, amat menducitakan sekali di mana, sebahagian besar perwakilan telah menolak usul untuk mempertahankan Putrajaya. Tun! Tun! Saya amat sedih kerana keadaan UMNO dibahagian ini masih lagi tidak berubah dan tidak peka dengan apa yang berlaku selepas PRU-ke 12. Saya hanyalah insan kerdil yang tersepit kerana disekat oleh pemimpin-pemimpin yang begitu tamak kan kuasa dan jawatan hingga tidak peka pada masa depan anak-anak bangsa dan generasi akan datang. The Malays will never submit to the Chinese hypocrisy of accusing our demands to our rights as racial, when in fact their racial behavior in businesses & human resource are so obvious to the extend that they’re not keeping them secret anymore! The Chinese have been practicing this most important of all racial issues since before independent! If Najib’s 1Malaysia is meant to benefit the bunch of ingrates such as Khoo Kay Peng, rarunasalam, donplaypuks, then I’m affirmative the Malays will sent very clear message of dissatisfaction.
If only Tun had not done the ‘dawn raid’, the likes of wenger khairy, rarunasalam, donplaypuks may probably be tapping rubber trees and doing their customary early morning ‘tabik tuan’ to the British estate managers!

I considered titling my talk today: “Malaysia-U.S. Defense Cooperation: The Untold Story.” The reason is that for many years U.S. and Malaysian forces have cooperated on a wide range of missions with virtually no fanfare or public acknowledgement. And in spite of its success, our bilateral defense relationship seems to be an all too well-kept secret.
So I very much appreciate the chance The Heritage Foundation and the Center for Strategic and International Studies have provided for me to reveal this well-kept secret. I would particularly like to thank Dr. Ed Feulner of Heritage, not only for his kind introduction, but also for his ongoing contributions to enhancing Malaysia-U.S. understanding. I’d like to thank Dr. John Hamre as well, both for the hospitality CSIS is providing today and for his leadership on defense issues. Dr. Hamre may be among the few to whom our bilateral defense cooperation is not in fact a secret.
Before I begin, I’d like to touch briefly on our bilateral relationship as a whole–as a kind of preview to Prime Minister Mahathir’s official visit to Washington in two weeks.
Certainly, I am aware that a visit by a head of state to Washington, D.C., is not a rare occurrence, especially these days. So why is this particular visit significant?
Historically, Malaysia has been a steady, reliable friend of the United States. Our multitude of common interests include trade and investment on a sizeable scale and security cooperation across a range of fronts. An equally important point is the common values our two countries share, including a commitment to democracy, religious tolerance, and equality for all our diverse citizens. In times like these–in a time of war–it is these values that bind nations together.
But I would point out that there is still another factor that makes our relationship important. Malaysia–though a small country halfway around the globe–occupies a somewhat unique position. We are an Islamic country. We are stable. We are prosperous. And our Prime Minister, Dr. Mahathir, has gained a certain status and sway, not only in the Southeast Asian region, but throughout the Islamic world.
An Unsung Story
I would like to elaborate on this subject later, but–to alleviate any suspense–I will first address the unsung story of our defense cooperation.
Take the recent hit film Black Hawk Down. The scene was Somalia, 1993. And although Hollywood saw it differently–I guess you could say Malaysia’s role was left on the cutting room floor–the fact is this: More than 100 Malaysian peacekeeping forces engaged in that fierce fighting to try to rescue the trapped U.S. Army Rangers. Fighting together with the U.S. Rangers, one of our troops made the ultimate sacrifice, along with the 18 U.S. soldiers who died.
Fortunately, our troops do not serve to become stars in Hollywood.
We were indeed gratified, however, when we were honored by the Pentagon for our contributions. And then, in New York this past March, a total of 23 Malaysian peacekeepers were awarded the Dag Hammarskjöld Medal, which is presented by the United Nations to peacekeepers killed in the line of duty.
In fact, since 1960, Malaysia has participated in more than 20 United Nations missions, from East Timor to Kosovo. For Malaysia, peacekeeping operations are an integral part of our foreign policy. Like the United States, we believe that nations–even small ones–have the responsibility to contribute when and wherever possible to a stable world order.
A Special Relationship with the U.S.
Malaysian forces regularly conduct joint training with United States counterparts, and the United States routinely enjoys access to Malaysian airfields and ports. Also, Malaysia provides one of the few bases outside the United States for U.S. military jungle-warfare training. U.S. troops are warmly welcomed in Malaysia and enjoy training there. In particular:
There have been more than 75 U.S. military ship visits in the past two and a half years.
The United States conducts training exercises with the Royal Malaysian Air Force, flying with and against them in mock battles.
U.S. Navy SEALs conduct training in Malaysia twice a year.
The U.S. Army does field exercises with the Malaysian army. I might mention here that, for their expertise in jungle warfare, Malaysians are known in the business as “whispering death.”
Finally, 1,500 Malaysian defense personnel have benefited from the U.S.-sponsored IMET (international military education and training) program.
As you can see, cooperation between our two nations started long before September 11, 2001. But the horrific events of that day galvanized our relationship as never before. Prime Minster Mahathir has been vocal in condemning the attacks, and we have been happy to provide an elevated level of cooperation with the United States on the range of fronts. For example:
The United States averages more than 1,000 overflights per year. Since September 11, this number has increased dramatically, and all requests have been approved.
The United States has excellent access to Malaysian intelligence.
Malaysia occupies a strategic location along the Strait of Malacca and southern South China Sea, and devotes considerable resources to maintaining safe and free shipping lanes for commercial and military vessels. Since September 11, Malaysian forces have been protecting U.S. ships in the Strait.
Malaysia has a considerable number of troops and military assets on our islands to thwart the threat of Abu Sayyaf terrorists in the Southern Philippines.
In addition, Malaysia is actively identifying assets of terrorists and teaching Indonesia and other ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries how to freeze assets.

It is not true that the US invaders of Iraq used smart bombs 100% of the time. Various estimates put the use of smart munitions at only 10% of the total munitions used. Thus the vast proportion of munitions used in Iraq were/are conventional bombs and artillery shells — dumb munitions — and they mainly used these dumb munitions at the start of the war, in the attacks on Fallujah and other built-up areas full of civilians, and are using them at this very moment.
They also use depleted uranium in their rounds. There are reports of a significantly increased number of abnormalities in newborn babies (5-fold) and cancer (10-fold) in Iraq. Apologists for the US and the UK may argue that there is nothing untoward in the use of DU munitions but if such is the case, why then are the UK authorities paying attention to this statement from the Royal Society by offering to monitor their soldiers for uranium poisoning.

The people who were responsible for most of the killings were not the Americans but the Iranians who were supporting the many different militia that emerged in Iraq after the fall of Saddam, and the Sunni Saddam loyalists who had emerged as well. They also recruited many people to become suicide bombers and they killed indiscriminately – women, children and even in hospitals.
But you have never blamed these people. You always blame the Americans and the British, you never blame the Iranians and the Iraqis.

I, being alone, was once treated a prostitute 20 years ago at HK Airport after my business visit in Beijing. During that time, HK Authorithy got many complaints and reports which proved many foreign single women went into China to do prostitution. Saya nak komen sikit tentang FELDA kali ni.
Ayah saya masuk FELDA pada tahun 1971. Masu tu kawasan FELDA saya masih dikelilingi hutan banat, hari-hari boleh tengok babi hutan, gajah, harimau dan binatang liar. Tapi atas kemahuan ayah saya untuk mengubah hidup anak-anaknya, semua halangan bukanlah masalah besar. Ayah saya bekerja secara berkelompok dalam menanam pokok kelapa sawit pada masa itu, satu “kong” (sekali pergi ladang) dibayar rm 2.50. Cukup untuk kasi pagi makan petang masa tu. Bila dah berbuah, satu blok A berkongsi hasil buah dan dibahagi sama rata hasilnya. Ada yang pemalas dan ada yang rajin. Yang pemalas hidup senang (sbb tak perlu kerja kuat), yang rajin dapat rezeki halal. Masa tu harga buah tandan kelapa sawit murah, jadi kalau dapat banyak, adalah peluang beli motor baru, tu pun bayar muka saja. FELDA sebenarnya tak banyak membantu peneroka meningkatkan pendapatan dari tahun 1971 hingga 2000. Sebabnya, dari gaji dari ibupejabat FELDA (paysheet besar), macam-macam dipotong termasuklah dari majalah FELDA yang berharga RM 10 (pada tahun 1980 harga RM 10 majalah tersebut adalah mahal. Bila sampai ke FELDA saya, pengurus FELDA potong lagi, koperasilah (yang langsung tak guna),masjid, kenduri-kendara,kantin (kantin adalah pasaraya bagi peneroka, harga barang selalunya 30-50% tinggi dari kedai luar. Peneroka terpaksa ambil sebab wang tunai dan sumber lain pun tak ada. Pengurus kantin dan pekerjanya tulis harga barang atas kertas, walaupun harga barang mahal tapi tak boleh nak komplen sebab tak tau nak rujuk ke mana) atau apa saja yang boleh digunakan untuk memotong hasil gaji peneroka. Bila ladang berbuah banyak, dapat rm 1000 lebih, peneroka mula beli kereta. Sebabnya dalam satu tahun nak dapat banyak tu, memang susah. Dan orang luar nampak peneroka FELDA kaya sebab boleh beli kereta tetapi realitinya dalam setengah tahun kereta kena tarik balik sebab tak mampu bayar hutang bulanan kereta. Kursus-kursus untuk peneroka tak ada langsung, FELDA tak mau berusaha pun untuk memajukan peneroka pada masa itu. FELDA adalah FELDA, yang kaya dan senang lenang adalah pengurusan pertengahan dan tertinggi FELDA. Gaji besar-besar, rumah besar, kereta besar tapi yang mati bekerja adalah peneroka. Mohon Ayahanda Tun lihat sekarang, berapa ramai anak peneroka FELDA yang menjawa jawatan pengurusan pertengahan dan tertinggi dalam FELDA. Mungkin ada tapi tak banyak. Yang banyak adalah anak-anak pengurusan pertengahan dan tertinggi FELDA dalam jawatan sekarang. Jika anak-anak peneroka FELDA tidak menjawat jawatan yang tinggi dalam FELDA, sehingga berapa generasi peneroka yang perlu kita tunggu untuk melihat peneroka menjadi kaya? Sebagai contoh, Ayahanda Tun membangunkan Langkawi semasa jadi PM, Pak Lah majukan Kepala Batas semasa jadi PM, Dato Seri Najib bangunkan Pekan sekarang, jadi kalau tiada anak-anak peneroka dalam pengurusan tertinggi FELDA, siapa yang nak bangunkan kawasan tanah rancangan FELDAnya? Menteri Pusat datang 4 tahun sekali sebab pilihanraya. Alhamdulilah, YB Tengku Azlan selalu jengok tanah rancangan saya. FELDA saya tak berubah semenjak 1971 sehingga sekarang selain jalan tanah merah ditukar dengan jalan tar. Rumah guru tahun 1971 masih kekal seperti keadaan asalnya. Begitu juga dengan Klinik Kesihatan, masjid, balairaya. Perpustakaan tak ada, air masih kotor sehingga sekarang, elektrik masih macam chipsmore (sekejap ada selalu takda).
Apa yang FELDA buat untuk pembangunan kampung peneroka? Tak ada sebenarnya. Buat apa duit dan harta RM 11 billion kalau duit itu tidak digunakan untuk menjaga kebajikan peneroka? Anak-anak peneroka sudah ramai yang berjawatan professor, doktor, PHD, Master, dan ramai lagi yang berpangkat tinggi dalam tentera, polis, APMM, jabatan-jabatan kerajaan, Syarikat-syarikat minyak, swasta dan sebagainya. Soalnya, adakah FELDA ambil mereka untuk menjawat jawatan penting dalam pengurusan tertinggi FELDA?????? Cuba Ayahanda Tun tanya, berapa ramai peneroka sekarang yang mengikuti kursus penanaman kelapa sawit, getah, tebu. Berapa ramai peneroka yang mengikuti kursus menternak puyuh, ayam, kambing, lembu yang dianjurkan FELDA? Jika tak berkursus, macamana nak pandai, macamana nak membela binatang ternakan dengan baik, macamana nak menjaga pokok kelapa sawit, getah dan tebu dengan baik supaya mendapat hasil yang banyak. Sebab tak ada kursus anjuran FELDA itulah saya rasa, lebih ramai anak peneroka yang menjadi “doktor”, cucuk jarum ke badan sendiri untuk masukkan dadah. Dan kerajaan salahkan peneroka sebab tak jaga anak sendiri. Betullah tu. Bila harga buah naik, FELDA untung besar. Buah kelapa sawit banyak dan harga mahal. FELDA beri pilihan untuk peneroka serahkan ladang kepada FELDA untuk diusahakan tetapi setiap bulan diberi RM 1500.00. Peneroka tua-tua (yang dah tak larat nak kerja) dan isteri-isteri peneroka yang kematian suami terpaksa serah kepada FELDA. Ada juga yang tak serah kepada FELDA tetapi pendapatan bulanan cecah RM 9000 hingga berbelas2 ribu. Siapa yang untung? Pengurusan FELDA. Koperasi FELDA memiliki lori-lori untuk mengangkut buah kelapa sawit ke ladang-ladang setiap hari. Kos pengangkutan dibayar oleh peneroka dan dipotong mengikut berapa tan buah kelapa sawit yang dihantar ke kilang. Kos pengangkutan diserah kepada Koperasi tetapi setiap tahun keuntungan koperasi FELDA tak nampak. Yang untung, orang yang memegang jawatan dalam Koperasi. Saya mohon audit dijalankan kepada KOPERASI FELDA SG TEKAM UTARA, JERANTUT dan jika berlaku penyelewengan, SPRM minta siasat. FELDA saya adalah kawasan kuat UMNO tetapi FELDA PADANG PIOL, kawasan kuat PAS boleh memiliki SYARIKAT BAS KUALA TAHAN yang boleh bersaing dengan SYARIKAT BAS TRANSNASIONAL. UMNO seharusnya berasa malu. Saya mahu FELDA tidak mengumpul aset-aset dan wang tunai berbilion ringgit tetapi menggunakan wang tersebut untuk membangunkan tanah rancangan FELDA. Semua peneroka FELDA mahu tanah rancangan mereka seperti FELDA LB JOHNSON dan FELDA SG BUAYA, yang tanahnya dibayar rm 1.2 juta. Dengan ini, anak-anak peneroka FELDA generasi kedua dapat belajar ke universiti dalam dan luar negara, dapat membeli rumah-rumah teres dan banglo di sekitar Kuala Lumpur dan Putrajaya, dapat menternak kambing dan lembu secara besar-besaran, dapat menikmati hidup yang lebih sempurna dan selesa, dapat membina rumah-rumah tahun 1971 yang hampir roboh. Dan itulah kemahuan sebenar ayah saya yang dibawanya sampai ke liang lahat. Dan sekiranya generasi pertama FELDA telah meninggal dunia, ada kemungkinan undian terhadap UMNO dan BN akan merosot dengan banyak kerana FELDA, UMNO dan BN tidak dapat membantu generasi kedua dalam meningkatkan pendapatan hidup mereka dan anak-anak di masa depan. 1. My son did not get into the local University eventhogh got 6As and end up in private U.
2. My son did not get the scholorship, only got PTPN after apeal many months.
3. I work in Public Listed Company and my name being used as a Director but i did not earn anything. Sounds stupid? But the fact is like that, if not i have to leave the company…I am as bright as other senior management staff but press down just like ordinary workers…but use my name as a director of company (in fact many are forced to do so!)
4. I bought a house in Shah Alam but no discount for bumi (I dont know how the developer get away with it)
5. I run a project which give 30% return but not recognised as i am a bumi.
6. I run a project using bumi name set up by a listed company, but buying material using bumi company name is more expensive…until i have to mentioned that this bumi company actually belong to this listed firm and then only can get the reduced price.
7. Try to run a business, but whatever i purchase more expensive than my neighbour shop and of course cash term.
8. My salary and bonus are less than my peers at the level and same project
9. My promotion took me more than 10 years, but my junior is now at the same level as me.

3. I remember a Doctor friend who went to GHKL for a medical check up. He Was a former Orthopaedic Head Of Depart at GH. He said it was tough that after all those years of Service to the Government after retiring, he was just another person…He had to wait as all the other patients. No one knew who he was. He has a Datuk title. Sacrificed a lot of his personal time to develop the Orthopaedic Discipline. Now after retiring, he was just another person. And if you’ve been to GH, you must know how frustrating that is…
4. Not surprising TUN that you were treated as such. Mat Salleh’s are very Ignorant lot. They only think their way is the best way. Everyone else are Savages. Salam sejahtera pada Tun dan keluarga.
Yes I do agree that our Government should not allow this murderer to come into this country be it for holidays or official functions.
We do not need arrogant and hypocrite British like him to dirty our soil.
In 2005, my 4 year old daughter, wife and I were stopped at the Heathrow airport. We were searched thoroughly and confined to a ‘detention ‘ room. About 2 hours later we were deported back on the same flight.
The Immigration asked many questions including checking how much money we carried, our credit cards, our hotel reservations and return tickets. We only wish to be in UK for less than a week.
They even asked me whether I have been to UK before and which I replied not less than 30 times. Not satisfied with the answer, they asked me to show proof that I was in UK before because the passport that we carried were new and hence there were no evidences or proof to show that I or we had been here before.
They deported us withour any reason. Our passport were defaced with crossmarks on one page.
When we returned home, I approached the Immigration Dept to change for a new passport as I was worried that should I travel to another contry, the immigration will deport me because of the defaced cross mark made by the British Immigarion.
I got the shocked of my life when the Malaysian immigration took back my passport and banned me for 2 years travelling outside the country. Their reason was, since the British immigration has not allowed me to enter the country and had cross marked my passport, so I had already commited an offence.
I questioned them, why the Malaysian authorities is imposing a ban on me and by right they should make a formal protest to the British Government for damaging my passport that was issued by a soveriegn country i.e Malaysia. The passport is the righful property of the Malaysian Government and they have no right to damage it !!
The simple answer that I received from the Immigration officer was if the Malaysian Immigration were to make a formal protest to the British Immigration, our Minister wil not be happy and will be angry with us !! Oh my God..do we still be scared of the Whites ??!!
When the British immigration detained me I make every effort to fight for my rights because I always beleived that we are of equal status with them. Only our color differs.
Now that we have some Msians who still worship these bloody Whites like Tony Blair and has even invite him to give a talk in this country..I protest STRONGLY and call upon all msians to stafge a demo or a protest in front of the office or the organiser and even at the british Embassy.
Now that I know , Tun too was subjected to total body search by them, I hope all Msians esepcially the Malays should stop this MURDERER from entering our beloved country.

When Tony Blair was invited generously and given VVIP treatment, I believe there may be three reasons. The Malaysians are either forgiving, forgetful or fearful. Well we can’t blame some Malaysians for being ignorant and inviting a devil to our doorsteps. But I can’t believe the leaders of our country allowed this to happen. I am wondering do DS Anwar Ibrahim and PRK Chief Zaid Ibrahim of Selangor State are being treated the terrorists when they travelled to United Kingdom to give seminar or speech since it is ‘paiseh’ to tell the truth that will tarnish their image of Malaysian Muslim.
DS Najib will not be treated this way since he is currently the PM of Malaysia.
Whenever the name of Khan is being mentioned, Malaysians will automatically link this name to Mongolian’s Genghis Khan and Kublai Khan who had once ruled ancient China.
When the country Mongolia is mentioned, our attention will be directed to Raja Petra, MOD, Bala and Altantuya C4 brutal murder case.
Due to Blair’s mistakes in Invasion of Iraq, Britishs require to spend expensively in national security at her airports, and Britains now are living with fear of terrorist attacks at any time.
Malaysia is a lovely country and does not need to increase spending in maintaining her KLIA airport security due to terrorism….however, Malaysia spends alot on her day to day political platform in personal building….

You need not to shout at their people, even feel like or think to do so. By doing so, It’s totally wasting your ‘Qi’ energy. I’ve met and heard numerous feedback and comment from people who travel abroad to UK and US. The negative perceptions towards us – be it Malay, Chinese or Indian – as long we came from a Muslim country, we’re a threat to them. This shallow thinking from such a developed country (UK & US), is what they preach and tolerate with.
Frankly and with all due respect, i’ve no idea how good or evil is this T.Blair. But i and we Malaysian, trust your judgment. On the matter T. Blair getting VVIP treatment in Malaysia, well – that’s how our government preach & tolerate.
The ironic part it that, Malaysian Politicians good at politicking our own countrymen. But when comes to big boys like the UK or US, they became a YES MAN. A minute we condemn the attack on Israel, another minute we welcome the guy who support this attack?!?! Being diplomatic, is this something which is required to do? I have no idea…
I’m personally totally not into politics, but politics is what we seen in the paper daily. What form a good governance – politics. What brings peace and harmony – politics. What ensure the booming economics – politics… etc. It’s sad, to know certain political NGO’s, booming like a mushroom protecting certain race rights. Is this a good move and necessary? I personally don’t think so. As of today, it’s so right and pleased to read in today’s paper – Karpal complementing the way Dr. Chua running MCA. Last G.E 2008 – Datuk Sharizat congratulate Nurul for winning Lembah Pantai and Tan Sri Koh assuring Lim Guan Eng all handover will be smooth. Again, is this politics? Yes or no, this is what mostly Malaysians asking – A peaceful governance – be it Federal Government or Opposition Governance.
